  If you have used a wrong e-mail address when you set the login account, you cannot directly change the address.

  Use instead the utility users from the Microsoft Account using a local account. This will be asked to sign out and sign back with the new local account credentials.

  Now do the same thing again, but go back to use a Microsoft Account. He will then enter the correct username account and password.

  Problem solved. I used Google search for my problem and found some very good information on troubleshooting. The last filter, I created for spam, I clicked on 'does not contain' rather than 'contains' and therefore each email message unique since that time obviously did not contain these key words, as they were going into the trash, I received!

  What a relief to retrieve new messages in the box in. Thanks Google and those who offered assistance to someone in the past.

  Thunderbird is the browser in question here. It is one of those things Gmail force on everyone being the 10000 pound gorilla in the room.

  Menu (alt + T) tools > options > privacy > and turn on the acceptance of cookies.

  You cannot convert an existing account, but you can set up your Yahoo as IMAP account in parallel to the existing POP account. See

  From your description, it appears you are trying to get your mail using Safari to access your e-mail account. Why you do not use the Mail App?
