The addon helps you get shortened some features like the virtual keyboard, the reputation of the Web site (the site is trusted content source or phising) etc., but protection doesnot depend on addon since most of the antivirus scan level of traffic independently, so they block it before to attack your pc, so if the component web is activate and your antivirus thenall say Green is good. You are protected. anyway most of the popular antivirus are compatble with little popular Firefox.a

  • I recently had to have my rebuilt computer caused by a virus. Now I have Mozilla Firefox with ABP and noticed that Mozilla has a built-in phishing and virus program. Do I need another antivirus program and if so, the one that works best with Firefox?

I recently had to have my rebuilt computer caused by a virus. Now I have Mozilla Firefox with ABP and see that Firefox has a program's built-in phishing and viruses. Do I need a program additional anti-malware? If so, the one that works best with Firefox? Seems put more you on these things the you have more trouble.

The anti-phishing protection and malware that Firefox uses checks against a list of websites that have been reported to contain a form of malware and then alerts you. Firefox itself does not scan files to see if they contain viruses/malware. You still need a form any anti-virus and anti-malware protection. You must also use a firewall.

As for which is better, you are likely to get many different answers, it's a topic that generates a lot of discussion. A product one person loves will be hated by someone else. I use Microsoft Security Essentials as well as Windows Firewall.

  • Satellite Pro M30 - I need the system recovery

    Hi all!

Please I need the system for Satellite Pro PSM35E recovery.
    Where can I find it?

    Hello!

Your laptop comes with Windows XP?
If Yes, you can order a new disc of recovery of an authorized service provider. On the Toshiba site, you can search for them.

The system recovery disc can t be downloaded.

You will need to go on the manufacturer of your pc and then ask for a windows xp disk and drivers. This will give you a new copy, but not out of the box state. For an out of the box, get a recovery disk. Just answer what you want.

Do need me an e-mail account with an ISP if my system already has Windows Mail?

Some of the answers are a bit misleading.  You will need an e-mail account,
but it doesn't have to be your ISP. In addition to your ISP, you can get one
e-mail account of Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and many other mail services
    suppliers.

  • When I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.

original title: require authorization of the SYSTEM

I decided to do a clean install of the latest Windows 7 RC yesterday and today crossed and have started to remove some programs on a separate hard drive so I could reinstall their own.  However when I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.  I am using an administrator account, but I can't just simply delete the file.  I tried going to and change the owner to my account or administrators, close it, change the security permissions to allow me to have full control, and then I can finally remove it.  The problem is, I have to do for all the files one by one in the folder, and I wonder if there is an easier way to go about this, or if I can access the user of this SYSTEM and just delete them all from there.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

Not trying to resurrect the old discussions, but I'll answer anyway because this thread came on top of the list of search results when I searched for "you need permission to the SYSTEM; I hope this will help everyone.

Note: here, "the record" as a subject refers to the folder that you want to remove.

Step 1: Go to the built-in Administrator account, you can do so by following these steps:
    a. go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools
    b. on the left panel, go to local users and groups > users. You should now see a list of users on your computer
    c. right click on the administrator account that appears in the list and select Properties
    d. uncheck "account is disabled" and confirm by pressing OK

Step 2: Connect to your newly activated administrator account

Step 3: Now, we start to configure the security settings that will allow you to remove this folder which was (perhaps) held by the SYSTEM:
I'm going to make the assumption that you want to remove a folder and all its subfolders along
    a. right click on the folder
    b. go to the security on the top tab
    c. click on the Advanced button which is at the bottom

: Step 4 the first part to configure security settings to set the owner of the folder:
    a. go to the owner on the top tab
    b. click the button change located downstairs
    c. There should be a list of accounts to choose to change the property, this is located under the label "of a change in ownership:'"
    (d) the entry 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should be there; If this isn't the case, then add it to the list:
-Click on the button "other users or groups...". "who's down
-Under the label "enter the object name to select (examples):', there should be a text field you can type into it;" type in "Administrator" (without the quotes of course)
-Click on the "Check names" button which is located on the right. 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should now be there _For itself_; Well, if not, then you must remove the line that does not represent the administrator account that you are currently
-Confirm by pressing OK; It will now appear on the list of accounts, you can choose from
    e. now, select 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' from this list
    f. check 'Replace the owner of subcontainers and objects' to propagate our change
    g. press OK to confirm. a message should now pop-up window, which says to re - open the properties. Do by pressing all the buttons OK see you

Step 5: now that we have the owner of the folder, we still not done. There is one crucial step left which is to remove permissions inheritable:
    a. Repeat step 3 to learn to re - open properties and get to "Advanced security settings"
    b. go to the permissions on the top tab
    c. click on the button "Change permissions" which is down
    d. at the bottom, there should be 2 check boxes:
-' Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object': deselect this. When you do so, you will get a warning on the parameters of parent is not not able to spread. Select 'Add '.
-' Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable this object': check this
    e. press OK to confirm. Windows will warn you this time; Click OK
    f. reconfirm by pressing OK; now, you should get to properties again

Now, you shouldn't have all the warnings about the SYSTEM do give you permission as he attempted to perform actions on this issue.
All the boxes to change the permissions on the accounts (properties > Security > Edit) must now be enabled, and you can tinker around with it.

  • Do we need apostrophes when you set values with ALTER SYSTEM?

    DB version: 11.2, 10.2
    Version: AIX

What logs the values of character with ALTER SYSTEM, do I have to enclose the value within single quotes.

Both the below worked. So I'm a bit confused.
    SQL> ALTER system set audit_trail=NONE scope=spfile;

    System altered.

-- Tested with single quotes on another DB
    SQL> ALTER system set audit_trail='NONE' scope=spfile;

    System altered.

What logs the values of character with ALTER SYSTEM, do I have to enclose the value within single quotes.

When you pass several parameters, you can use single quotes, in other cases sound option.

If you have multiple databases on hold, you must configure by separating with single quotes.
    For example,.
    (1) fal_client = "STBY1", "STBY2", "STBY3" and so on.
    (2) log_archive_dest_2 = "service = stby lgwr async... '

If you see under SPFILE settings, here, some are mentioned with single quotes & SEC_CASE_SESITIVE_LOGIN is not in quotes. But the value is always the same.

    From SPFILE;

    *.remote_login_passwordfile='EXCLUSIVE'
    *.sec_case_sensitive_logon=FALSE "used NO QUOTES"
    *.sga_max_size=16106127360
    *.star_transformation_enabled='TRUE' "QUOTES"

    SQL> show parameter remote_login

  • Install or not to install: "Webroot Antivirus with spy sweeper" and "Norton Internet security".

original title: install or have not installed?

I am very confused about the difference between "Webroot Antivirus with spy sweeper" and "Norton Internet security". They are both asking me to click on install. They provide the same service? What one do need me more? Windows 7 is already a certain protection/security installed in? I'm afraid to install anything that is not "Microsoft". I heard that too much protection can get an infected computer. My new computer is not yet a year old, I want to keep it in good shape for as long as possible.

The real risk of installing more of an anti-virus program is that they do not work well together and can cause system performance slow and computer lock-up and others.  You should only choose an antivirus product and install it.  Microsoft Windows comes with a limited program called "Windows Defender" that protects against spyware/adware, but no virus, but if you prefer a Microsoft solution, you can download and install "Microsoft Security Essentials" that offers more protection.  Personally, I also use and recommend MSE and have never had a problem with it.

Make sure that you uninstall Webroot and Norton Internet Security before installing MSE.

  • System drive Qosmio G20 with an image or a clone backup

On another thread, I asked problems with Acronis True Image to backup and cloning of my system (C) disk. Whenever I'm trying to clone my system disk or recover an image, I can create and restore the image, but when I install the player recreated and tries to start, I get as much "windows did not start successfully, I would like to start in safe mode... last good config known... or normal. All the options to return to the screen.

I have two drives 100 GB sata, with the first disc of the op system, programs and the second with my data and therefore has set up the raid as two independent disks and the raid console option disabled.

After trying another product of cloning with the same result, I guess there is something in the Qosmio implemented that is the cause. I read that Qosmio Player is installed on a hidden partition of Linux on the system drive and am wondering if it may not be picked up by the cloning and imaging software and that may cause boot failure.

So I have two questions. First of all, nobody knows why I might be problems starting from a clone or recovery using third party disk image backup software and second, anyone successfully upward and restore a G20 Qosmio Player system, and if so with what software and do you perform all the special functions.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Well, I use the Toshiba Recovery CD to restore the operating system on the Qosmio G20.
It has also 2 x 100 GB, but under my computer, I saw only one a HARD drive. I created 2 partitions with the ghost (second option on the recovery CD).
However, I have now 2 partitions but after this procedure, the Qosmio player has been removed. I though that I need to install again simply because of the Qosmio player but I tried to install the Qosmio player after the recovery procedure and it has been successfully.

2 existing partitions and I also have a Qosmio player on my laptop.
But one thing is very strange; I can't locate the partition in disk management.
    But everything works ok

  • Toolbar Norton is not compatible with Firefox 4, is my Norton 2011 protecting me online? He says that it is.

I upgraded to 4 FF. The Norton 5.5 toolbar is not compatible. I want to know if I am always protected by Norton during navigation, even though the Norton toolbar is not installed. According to Norton settings, web protection is enabled and works. If I am always protected I'll wait for a toolbar update Norton is available, otherwise I will need to know how to uninstall FF 4 and reinstall FF3.6.

With the exception of the Norton toolbar, Norton Internet Security 2011 works very well with Firefox 4. It always made Norton a while to update their software to have their toolbar works with major versions of Firefox.

In all other ways my XP system is up-to-date, with the exception of SP3. I never needed before. SP1 and SP2 have been installed at the time when they were new. Now SP3 is required to upgrade to some new programs. Installation of the SP3 at this late date crush the latest system updates or interfere with programs like IE 8? I don't want that my system is back to older parameters which are now outdated. If the system settings are changed, how do I know those who?

    No, this does not disturb.
