My OfficeJet Pro 8600 more returns "not recognized computer" when I scan from desktop computers.

My 8600 OJPro more has been configured to recognize my Dell computer.  What settings should I on my computer for the printer OfficeJet Pro 8600 more allow scanning from my Dell desktop?

I would try to run printing HP and doctor Scan first to see if the problem can be solved with this automated tool.  Click here to access the tool.

Thus, there are measures to check the WIA service:

(1) type services.msc in the section run or search programs and files

(2) scroll the WIA: Acquisition of Image Windows service

(3) to ensure that this service is running.  Click on stop, and then restart to ensure that the service is running properly

(4) restart the PC to see if WIA will resume functionality

(5) check the properties (right click on WIA) 2 dependencies are defined

(6) check to make sure that the remote procedure call (RPC) is running

(7) check the detection equipment core and make sure that this forum works

Let me know how it goes.

Ok. This is what worked for me. I bought a HP 8600 PRO Wireless today, Sam's Club set it up to print plain paper. Everything was fine. Then I got stock index impression of disorder, 65 lb, 175 g/m2. I kept getting an error "on paper." I changed the mediaprinting preferences: card stock and less paper size: letter of card index. The printer looks bad pick up the first two pages, but then picked up the other four pages and printed. A total of six pages printed on 65 lb, 8.5 "x 11" card stock. I hope this works for you all.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 more: 2 black vertical line when scanning only

I get 2 vertical black lines while scanning using the ADF. This does NOT happen when you use flat bed scanning. Also, this does not happen with copies in the ADF or flat bed - scan only using the car power.

Not an expert on your device, but if you look on the side of the adf, where the paper feeds, you open the lid to the scanner glass is displayed.  Now on the left side is where the adf feed above to scan paper is on the side left where there will be some dirt or material causing lines.  Usually, you can take the copy that came out and line up so you can see the dots making line.  Sometimes, you need to use your nails to kind of scratch material out of the glass.  I usually rub really hard with some windex first, and if that does not work, I line up the and scrape the residue out of the glass.  Again, it will be on the left side of the window in an inch on the left side.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus do not print hardcover

I tried the solutions posted: 1) made sure the tray 2 is not installed. (2) printed 100 white pages of plain paper. (3) modified preference hardcover and paper media.  However, I always get out of paper message when you try to print on thick paper.

This is a new printer. Help!

    Hi hubox,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Officejet pro 8600 more do not print card stock, and I'm happy to help with this problem!

To get help, I'll need to know:

In the meantime, please take a look through this paper guide. ' A ' Out of paper ' or 'Choose the motor at a standstill' message and the printer not picking up or feeding of the paper in the main tray.

I hope to hear from you and thank you for posting!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more paper tray will not go

[In the case of a post to repeat it is because I could not tell for sure one was actually published.]

Product name: HP Officejet Pro 8600 more. OS is Windows 7

First of all, I saw many possible solutions in Google search, and many of them related to the HP printers support blogs and none of them have worked for me.

Like so many others, the problem started with my change drawer to manage envilopes. Many worked, but now the drawer don't go all the way - it stops at 9/16 inch short to be completely closed.

I adjusted and readjusted the tray for legal size.

I shook the left and right drawer closing.

I removed all the paper and two sizing medium frame settings.

I checked the track inside and the slider on the status bar and see no obstacles.

I raised and lowered the ramp at the end; It lowers at the beginning of the slide.

By pulling the drawer I found a slight resistance during his visit to the position of 1 inch.

I slipped the paper-stop in and out and it positioned perfectly.

I cycle powered by the printer.

I can't help but think there must be simple somethinbg behind it all. Maybe a bit of lubricant in the mechanism?

    Help, please.

I was right - something simple. Me. It seemed that the ferry was going all the way because of the gap between the drawer and the housing. I thought it was a problem because I have sent to the printer of things would not print. I still don't know why, but it seemed to be a problem with the mechanical - 'print' in applications is dimmed. But now everything seems to be in order. My apologies to those who have spent the time thinking about my 'problem'...

HP Officejet Pro 8600 more indicates 'missing or does not print head ". I did 4 HP instructions and now I'm #4: contact HP. I cleaned the heads, replaced the 4 cartridges, removed and replaced the unit restarted, everything. Now what?

There is a document with measures to help address the missing or condition is not the print head.  This document can be found here.

From your post, I understand that you did some the most of these steps, but run Solution 4: replace the print head.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer/printhead without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • "Scan To E-mail" configuration on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g

It's the same problem reported by several other users of this forum to which no solution has been provided.

I was not successful to set up the scan e-mail option for a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g bought 12 August 2012 and using CLP1CN1150CR firmware.

I'm trying to do through the interface of the Web server built into the printer from an iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the 5.8.0 HP utility.  More specifically the page under 'outgoing Scan-> Scan to E-mail-> e-mail profiles.

I tried 2 SMTP from different servers, each one works well to send the email from the computer: Apple iCloud mail service (formerly Mobile Me, formerly known as.) Mac) and AT & T Net messaging service.  I checked the server name, port number, and authentication login and password were all correct.

When scanning to email serves as the printer, I get an error message: unable to connect to the server.  Check the address and the name of the server.

During a test of the computer when configuring a profile of outgoing mail, I get an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message. (EmailAccounts-timeout).

When I try to configure the page under "Settings-> E-mail Alerts-> mail server" and use exactly the same values as those in the e-mail profile out above, registration and Test option fails with an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message.

Oddly enough, I am able to use the client to the computer with the option scan to the computer-> e-mail in PDF format or by e-mail in JPEG format.  With this option, the file is scanned and added as an attachment to an e-mail message from the Mail in Mac OS X client.  The e-mail message is sent via SMTP server even when I press the button send.

All the error messages seem to indicate that the client software of electronic mail of the printer is unable to establish a connection to the SMTP server.  However, it is unclear what configuration setting is one that could be the cause of the problem.

After further research, I noticed that there is another default possible values of port Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP):

    • Port 25 is the standard SMTP port number.
    • Port 465 is the number of SMTP over SSL, Secure SMTP (SSMTP) port.
    • Port 587 corresponds to the port number dedicated for a presentation Mail (MSA) Agent that uses a variant of SMTP, as specified in RFC 6409, which requires that clients are authorized and authenticated to use the filing of mail service.

  • do I have to buy color ink cartridges? HP Officejet Pro 8600 more Windows XP

    HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

    Windows XP

The printer will not print anything (including black and white which is my default setting), at least that I have installed a new yellow ink cartridge.  He says that the cartridge is exhausted and must be replaced before printing.    I have black and white printing color cartridges? Is there a solution? Thank you very much.

    DavidDavid salvation,

Yes, you will need to replace the yellow cartridge to continue printing. Here's a good explanation of the design of the print mechanism, and what is needed to keep them in good working condition. Your printer is user replaceable print head. With this printer's ink lines that need to be filled in ink in this way that the print head should not be clogged jets in turn cause poor print quality problems.

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.

When you buy your next printer (from HP or from another manufacturer) be sure that you understand what is the type of printer and choose one that fits your needs.

  • How can I get my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more to scan a full legal size paper?

How can I get my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more to scan a full legal size paper? He cut scanning letter-size, but the specifications say it will scan the legal size.

    Hello

The analysis of parameters need to be changed to HP Scan App. launch of the HP scan application from your computer and select the option left (PDF or JPEG...) and then choose the size of legal scan on the right.

    Save and close the application.

Now you can scan in legal.

    Note:

You can also create your own settings for scanning HP scanning parameters.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N91: Printer crashes with 0xB845D7DC when connect to UPC Ubee cable modem/router EVW3226

Printing: HP Officejet Pro 8600 more e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

    SN: [personal information]

    REF: CM750A

    FW: CKP5CN1516AR

Then try to connect to the router wireless (active DHCP), the printer LCD display starts to blink and a second, it displays B845D7DC.

After that, the printer asks to reset and it restarts with wireless off.

I have a cable modem with router wireless of my cable TV UPC provider called UPC Ubee EVW3226.

I tried to connect the printer to the router using the WPS button and provide the password. In both cases, I have the same behavior.

I have a dozen other wireless home devices that connect without problem to the router. But not the printer.

Please let me know what other information will be good for you to solve the problem. Or, please provide a workaround solution.

    I found the solution:

connect to your printer cable (you can use a direct eth between your computer and your printer cable), access the web interface and disable support IPv6 (let the IPv4 only verified): network > General > protocols > only IPv4 verified. Save and restart the printer.

In 80% of cases, it will work on the wireless connection. For the other 20% when it does not work, try to assign a static IP address to your printer (network > Wireless > IPv4) in a second time. Take data from your router (IP, gateway, DNS).

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 more again to replace the L7780 who brought up the menu scan, when a document is loaded into the autofeeder.  How can I get the only 8600 to do the same.  I find that I liked the convenience of the automatic menu, but it does not come to the top when I load the document (s) to scan in the ADF.  This feature has been discontinued?

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

A suggestion that we recommend is to uninstall and reinstall the software FULL of features.

Alternatively, you can try the doctor print and Scan?

  • HP officejet pro 8600 more: double side id or copy scan

    Hey,.

I have hp officejet pro 8600 and I'm unable to scan or copy id cards on both sides.

y at - it an option for scanning on part and other identification cards or copy bothh sides of ID card?

can you please help me with it, because I really scan identity cards, the two side to my computer.

"" and if there is no video or tutorial on scannig or copy on both sides of the identity card for "hp officejet pro 8600 more ' and then share it with me.

    Thanl you.

    Hi @Sanky1,

While the document feeder allows the 2 sided copy and scan, the loader will feed not IDENTITY cards. What you can do, is copy each side individually, then put two copies on the document feeder and scan 2 faces. If you want both sides of the card on a single page, same idea, copy both sides individually, then place them copies on the glass to scan so that they are aligned with a scanned page.

I hope this helps. If you need further explanation or assistance, let me know.
