  You can enable the Guides on the Image. Go to the magnifying glass Overlay > Guides, then you can turn on or off using Ctrl + Alt + O or command + Opt + O.

  A scanned document is an image; You can't find a picture.

  If the image contains text, recognition of characters (OCR) will convert the 'text' in the image in real text (searchable, editable).

  OCR can be performed automatically when converting a PDF to Word, using the ExportPDF service.

  To run OCR inline in a PDF document, you will need Acrobat.

  I have problems trying to download/install Adobe Reader 10.  The initial report download works, but when I run the saved file, the installation process continues to stop at 50%, with the message "lost connection. Try to reconnect.   This then ends with the message "the connection has failed.
