During the installation of a grid highlighting images

What is the shortcut to put a grid over a picture that you develop so that you can tell if the horizontal lines are horizontal and verticals are vertical?

Hi ZOC,

You can enable the Guides on the Image. Go to the magnifying glass Overlay > Guides, then you can turn on or off using Ctrl + Alt + O or command + Opt + O.

  • HP T610 more: HPDM deployment for t610 image more crashes during the installation of the new initial start of the image

We are working on the update of our thin clients HP T610 more.  Update us the thin clients in the last image of the OS WES7P and also update to IE11 and Citrix receiver 4.4.

    We use HPDM 4.6.4

We have successfully several T610s and update the image of the OS and related software with no problems.  We are then able to use the 4.6.4 to successfully shoot HPDM and image of these thin clients updated in the master repository.

We then create a task to deploy the new image to several thin clients.  We configure the task to use the imagery being cached, and then run the task.  HPDM then successfully deploys the image for thin clients.

Customers accept the image cache and once the image is fully downloaded they restart to deploy the image.   After the restart, the image unfolds and decompresses correctly, then the thin client, start the original installation of Windows.

But for 90% or more of these newly imaged thin clients that they get hung up during the installation of Windows (usually during the message that windows is written to the Registry).  Once the thin clients get hung at this stage they are inaccessible and unrecoverable by HPDM and must be copied via USB.

We believe that the issue is somehow related monitors are connected to thin clients.  If isolate us completely thin clients monitors, then deploy an image the new image is OK.  HPDM reports that the image has been deployed successfully.  If we then go back to thin clients and reconnect the monitors of the thin client is updated and the screen seems to be in standard vga mode low resolution.  A restart of the thin client then recognizes and sets the appropriate screen resolution, and the thin client is good to go.

What is normal sound monitors must be separated to deploy a new image?

Thanks for any idea or thougts.

From the point of view HPDM, disconnect monitor is not required when you deploy the image. Personal thought is that there is a compatibility problem between the display driver, graphics card and the system. Installing Windows intend to write a default registry value based on connected monitor (maybe display settings), for some reason, he was stuck. I'm not the driver or the operating system that you are an expert, I would say that you submit a ticket to HP for additional troubleshooting.

  • Specifying the NIC Public private network cards during the Installation of the grid

    Version: 11.2
    Operating system: Solaris

We will install the 11.2 grid.
These are IP addresses, we will allocate for the Public sector and private Interfaces
    bge0--->10.80.143.214 ---- for public network (Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 )

    bge1--->172.132.116.81 ----- for private Interconnect (Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 )
But, during the Installation of the grid, the grid Setup will ask only those IPs with the last byte 0 as shown below url
    bge0--->10.80.143.0 ---- for public network

    bge1--->172.132.116.0 ----- for private Interconnect
    http://4.BP.blogspot.com/_0ut-UEg1S3k/SqI3w1QgVLI/AAAAAAAAA1w/Zq6jwWWh_48/S1600-h/8.PNG

The installer actually displays the "subnet". But Public and private NIC of the subnet is 255.255.255.0
Is this really? Why the installer of the grid is not inviting the real IPs allocated to networks of Public and private?

    Hello
    Litte Note:

Why the installer of the grid is not inviting the real IPs allocated to networks of Public and private?

The cluster runs under Network (e.g. 10.80.143.0) under any one or two IP, because several IP addresses of the network in question can be used (it is about scalability and availability), you install a cluster it show the networks used, not used IP (this occurs in any system of cluster, you must specify the network).

    Hello

Recently, I lost my laptop (a Lenovo X201t Win Ultimate running any Bluetooth capabilities (64-bit).) The problem started when Windows Update offered me an option "Bluetooth with Enhanced Data rate software II v6.2.1.3100 (7ZBV19WW)" upgrade. This update of first removed the existing Bluetooth SW and then started to install the new version. Towards the end of the installation (i.e. when the progress bar has reached almost 100%) all of a sudden the next popup appeared:

    -----------------------------------------------
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.ATL, type = 'win32-policy', version = '8.0.50727.42", publicKeyToken ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture ="amd64"'.

I googled around fragments of the above error message, but appearently it signals a significant problem. Some discussions I've found comes to the conclusion, that some registry entries do not have the correct permissions, in most of the other discussion gave, had something that was wrong with the subsystem that some libraries .NET and .NET (most listed some "MS Visual C++ 200 x Redistributable" as guilty) were opposed or had been corupted or put in an inconsistent state.

I tried various tips in these discussions, but nothing has worked so far, so I ask here:

    • What really does this error mean?
    • Can we deduct sort of info in the above message, what to do or where to look for?
    • How can I locate or identify the library or component (or other) that is the cause, so that I can try it in- or reinstall first we hope to solve this problem?

I really need my bluetooth capability! I use it regularly to synchronize with my cell phone and listen to music and I can't wait these two functions no longer work!

    Michael

PS. : in case this requires some "open heart surgery" on the system: I'm comfortable with all kinds of windows of Mgmt. Tools, edit the registry, etc etc - so no problem! I also took a recent disk image (alas, taken only after the error appeared), so still some changes difficult to solve this problem would be fine with me...

    Hello

If you receive a 1935 error when you try to install the software, the Windows file system transaction log is corrupted. The transaction log is used by the Windows file system to recover when a file error occurs. It can also occur if an error occurs with the installation of .net Framework.

Step 1: To correct this install error, you must clear the log.

    a. open an administrator command prompt: right click on start > all programs > Accessories > command prompt and select "run as administrator" and click "allow" for the elevation prompt

    b. in the command prompt, type the following command:

    true fsutil resource setautoreset C:\

    c. which assumes that C: is the drive where Windows 7 is installed. If it is installed on another drive as D: Please change the appropriate drive letter.

    d. restart the system.

    e. install the software and check.

Step 2: Start the Trustedinstaller Service. It is possible that the Trustedinstaller service do not appear in the service list. If you must change the registry value to 'active' in the system registry.

    To do this, you must:

    a. type "regedit" without the quotation marks in the start search box.

    b. in the Registry Editor window, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > control.

    c. in the "Registry Editor" dialog box, double-click on 'RegistrySizeLimit'. This opens the "Edit DWORD value"dialog box.

    d. in dialog box "Edit DWORD value", enter ffffffff as the 'hexadecimal " value." Click on the "Decimal" radio button and enter 4294967295 value 'Decimal' . Click OK.

    e. restart the computer.

    f. log as long as administrator, open an command prompt and type SFC/scannow.

Once the process is complete, reinstall the program that challenges you to install.

Important:  This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

Step 3: Repair of .net framework and check.

Repair the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework

To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, click Control Panel and then click on Add / Remove programs.

    b. in the list currently installed programs, click Microsoft .NET Framework and then click Change/Remove.

    c. click on repair, and then click Next.

  • during the installation of windows 8, which upgraded the wizard asks to install now or install by creating media what the difference

during the installation of windows 8, which upgraded the wizard asks to install now or install by creating media what the difference

When you install by creating media, allows to create a backup of a Virgin DVD USB or USB key installation files. (I recommend you do this in case you need to reinstall Windows 8 in the future).

If you choose to not, Windows 8 will be a non-media from your hard drive installation automatically.

Windows 8 simplifies the procurement process with an installer called Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant Web that makes it easy to download and create a local backup for future use. Digital distribution works this way, you download the installer, launch that and he will download Windows 8, the time it takes depends on the speed of your Internet connection ultimately. Microsoft noted that the Web Installer includes a sophisticated compression technology that downloads pieces in sections of 10 MB to ensure that its safe delivery. When you download the installer, the installer creates a folder called "WindowsESD" in the root of your drive C:\ (if you have multiple partitions that this case may be on another). From there, you will find a complete Windows disk image, you can burn it to a blank DVD and make your own physics, copy, or store it on a USB key.

  • What is the reason of the problem during the installation of exsi5.5

    Hey, PayPal:

I have a problem during the installation of exsi5.5, she could not continue to work well. The figure below:

    esxi_error.png

who can help me to solve the problem, thank you!

How you have configured the virtual machine? Make sure you that you assign a minimum of 4 GB of RAM to the virtual machine.

If this does not help, check the checksum of the ESXi image to ensure it is not corrupt, or attach the VM configuration (. vmxfile) as well as his latest vmware.log to a response message file.

  • Question on bootbank, altbookbank during the installation and reboot

    Hello

During the installation of third-party software, I have observed that the newly added components are deposited in the /altbootbank. A reboot is required for the components of are transferred to the /bootbank. Then only this software will be enabled on the server (the drivers are loaded).

I installed using software vib esxcli install /XXXXXXXXXX d

My question is, is this the default behavior of this command?

and, how can it be directly moved to bootbank... ?

In addition, what is the impact if the images are put in /bootbank with the new facility, and if we do not restart the server... ? It will have an impact on the current system of runniong... ?

  • Install the raid controller during the installation of ESXi5

    Hello

Today, we plan to install ESXi5 on our server.

We had no problems during the installation of ESX4.1 as he ask custom drivers when it starts.

But ESXi5.0.0 does not ask for the installation of the custom driver and we cannot install raid controller driver!

I do not know how to resolve this so I wanted to know is possible to install the raid controller?

    Thanks in advance.

I know I ask too many questions, but I know a little bit about it.

No problem, that's what the forum is done

Now should after you download the Image how I use it?

Burn the image to a CD and run the installation from the bootable CD. Remember, though, that the image is usable only for new installations, not for upgrades (see release notes).

  • Error encountered during the installation of GI 11.2.0.3 on AIX 6.1 Server PRVF 5150

I am building a RAC cluster on IBM pSeries AIX 6.1 running hardware. The ASM LUN for storing the voting disk and OCR (as well as all future db files) are on NetApp storage. I built before RAC clusters, with IBM Storage, but it's my first time with NetApp storage.

I ran cluvfy for precrsinst of the scene, and this report came back without errors. But I do not think that cluvfy tent actually access the ASM storage, because the utility does not know the trail of ASM disks. In any case...

During inspections of pre installation YES, I received this error message: PRVF-5150/dev/usasdirvg801_asm_quo_01 path is not a valid path on all nodes.

Initial research on MOS has led me to notes 1267569.1 , but this only applies to the Linux

Does anyone met this error message during the installation of Infrastructure of grid on AIX? Any advice will be considered and are appreciated.

    Thank you!
    Mark

    Hello

    Try using kfod utility:

Note: Do not forget the grid Infrastructure software doesn't have to be installed to use kfod, since kfod lies on both the staging area where you unzipped the grid Infrastructure software, like the following example:

    / Internship/Grid/internship/ext/bin/KFOD

Where: ' / step ' is the directory where I unzipped the free software for grid Infrastructure software.

    And put it here:

    $ kfod asm_diskstring='/dev/usasdirvg801_asm*' disks=all
