Do not create a database by using script - ORA-09314

Hi all

I installed an Oracle 10.2.0.1 database in my local calculations and "Customization database" option allows to create a model, which was named "peng". Everything works fine when the configuration of the model and finally generated the record $ $ORACLE_HOME/admin/peng/scripts.

But unfortunatlly when I run the peng.bat to create the database by manual, Oracle complained that there are problems fatal with arguments and automatic stops the process.

I tried to find something useful and finally got the error message as shown below:

ORA-09314: sltln: logical name translation error
OSD-04026: invalid parameter passed.

And I alos found that there is in the init.ora file, no * "controll_files = XXXX" * initiall parameter, which is supposed to be added after the createDB.sql script. (I use the OMF to manage files)

If someone can tell me why and how to?

Thx for your help!

next post deals also same problem. read

  • How to create a database by using Visual Basic 2013?

    Original title: I need a teaching aid

    I have been programming since the beginning of the 1980s as a hobby.  I want to create a database by using Visual Basic 2013 but I have difficulty finding the information as required to fit.

    When I was with VB6 I used a book: beginning Visual Database 6 database programming by John Connell

    This book taught me everything I needed to know.  He used control arrays (I understand are now mocked) to define the forms of "state machines" which I liked a lot.

    I could go back and reinstall VB6 but I would learn instead to perform all necessary steps in VB 2013.  Can anyone suggest a similar book?

    I used the COBOL, FORTRAN, VBA, VB6, Basica, etc..  But through it all to adapt to new versions has never been so difficult.  I believe that the adaptation will be difficult if I can find a book that explain the changes.

    Can you please give me some advice on this situation?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    DO NOT USE THE DATAPUMP.

    You do not use expdp and impdp.

    You will use the 9i client exp and imp 11g client.

    Suggestion. DBCA allows to generate the database model and use the option "+ Save as scripts + ' (no need to create the database).

    In the scripts directory, there will be a couple of shell and SQL scripts to create the database. Use them as your CLI model for the creation of a custom database. (I guess that DBCA works the same on Windows as it does on Linux).

    Another option, if you are using Oracle XE, is to copy ORACLE_HOME/bin/createdb.sh (probably a + .cmd on Windows) script and change for use. If you manually add non-XE features to the script (such as the installation of the Java virtual machine) If you want a database of SE or EE. (whereby DBCA scripts are a better answer).

  • How to create a form of free paths using script?

    Hello

    I want to create a form in which I add multiple points

    I try to use GraphicLine, but it adds no way point in this

    var myGraphicLine = myPage.graphicLines.add ();

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (0).pathPoints.item (0) .anchor = [72, 72];

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (0).pathPoints.item (1) .anchor = [72, 144];

    myGraphicLine.paths.add ();

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (1).pathPoints.item (0) .anchor = [72, 144];

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (1).pathPoints.item (1) .anchor = [90, 100];

    myGraphicLine.paths.add ();

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (1).pathPoints.item (0) .anchor = [90, 100];

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (1).pathPoints.item (1) .anchor = [110, 144];

    myGraphicLine.paths.add ();

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (1).pathPoints.item (0) .anchor = [110, 144];

    myGraphicLine.paths.item (1).pathPoints.item (1) .anchor = [144, 72];

    I want to create a W shape using script type.

    How to create a form of type free paths (like those drawn with pencil or pen tools) using js?

    Thank you

    This is because you create separate ways. Create just a first, and then add all the pathpoints.

    Do not forget that all first path you create comes with free first 2 points, so just move these in the position as shown above. Then add the new points to the same path, rather than create new ones (lines #4, #8, and #12 in my example).

    }

    It was fixed by adding a default SD card in Eclipse (memory section). Appaerently it does not work when I add just the SD card after the boot in the Simulator.

  • How can I set the time_zone if I use a templete and DBCA to create my database

    Kind regards

    You can do after you create the database by using alter database set time_zone.

  • create a database for Oracle FailSafe

    Hello
    I should create a database and in the next step, install oraclefailsafe to use another server to pass if the first crash. Then I created the SERVER1 database (with all the files on a shared file system).

    Now how can we establish the 'same' database on SERVER2?

    Thank you.

    I'm reading: Oracle® Fail Safe
    Concepts and Administration Guide
    Version 3.3.3 for Windows
    Reference No.. B12070-01
    December

    But do not see the answer to my question.
    Thank you.

    Please tell me if my question is clear?

    First, Oracle FailSafe is "low availability environment. The number of problems associated with the Services of Cluster MS FailSafe (including errors of the operator or configuration problems) far exceeds number of problems with Oracle running on a single node. Yes, your manager will be able to show the listeners that they perform configuration high availability. But in my experience, this does not work in real life (perhaps because we were not allowed to run Oracle and FailSafe as LocalService, but we had to use domain accounts - this added much more complexity). In any case, my personal experience with this security was bad.

    Back to your question... You do not create a database on SERVER2. You only need to install all the necessary software - software for Oracle database and integrated security software (if placed on a shared drive). All services on the server SERVER2 are created automatically when you add your database to the cluster. When your OracleService on SERVER1 crashes (for example - a complete crash of SERVER1 does cause no heartbeat data to write on a quorum disk) then FailSafe will mount disks shared to SERVER2 and start OracleService on SERVER2 (this is why OracleService should be set to manual - must not be started by Windows when the system starts) (, but only when you are prompted by the integrated security service). It's the same database - data online redo logs and control files. So, there is no second database on SERVER2. From the application point of view, a crash of Server1 "is seen" as a very fast server reboot. All connections are interrupted, the database gets bounced.

    Since you have not yet created the database, then Oracle (obviously) can't find the parameter file report and throws this error.

  • Works only in the script file and not in the database

    Hi all:

    I want to know if this is possible.

    In my SQL script file...

    Create a feature once.
    Call or make use of this couple of function or several times.

    All the while NOT create the function in the database.

    In other words, I want this function to be alive only during execution of the script file.

    Thank you

    Well, you can do that if you can somehow manipulate your script so that it includes an anonymous block. Here, you can use a local subprogram that exists in the context of the anonymous block:

    SQL> DECLARE
      2     a1   NUMBER := 10;
      3     a2   NUMBER := 20;
      4     a3   NUMBER := 0;
      5
      6     FUNCTION calu_sum (var_a NUMBER, var_b NUMBER)
      7        RETURN NUMBER
      8     IS
      9     BEGIN
     10        RETURN (var_a + var_b);
     11     END;
     12  BEGIN
     13     a3 := calu_sum (a1, a2);
     14     DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (a3);
     15  END;
     16  /

  • Use scripts to create digital orders without button increase/decrease

    I'll have fun using scripts to do things that were once "impossible", like the creation of a cluster programmatically in a list of variable names and their types associated with (use in a later program).
