  Hi all

  I took a VCP accredited course in August 2009.  In the meantime, I focused on the reception other certifications that our virtualization project has been put on hold.  I am now ready to review the VCP study material and plan my session for review.  My question is this... how long did you take the VCP course to pass the exam before having to return to Collect?

  I guess that your course was on vSphere 4, such as the vSphere: run install configure manage? There is no time limit for the course and the review itself, the certification is specific to the version, as the course is, so as long as your course was on vSphere 4 the current review is on the same version.

• Looking to make the VCP

  I really want to do the VCP4 exam. I have already have some experience installing and using Vmware, but never actually having the certificate. I know that its a bit expensive but its worth it.

  I read, but I'm not too sure.

  I don't want to pay to travel to this review. I read somewhere that they use webex confrenceses, but does that mean I have to sit in front of a computer for 4 days. In addition, what happens if I lose the Internet connection or electricity?

  I would also like to know how will be able to review. I still have to travel. is it better to go in the classroom anyway?

  I'll be really grateful if I get these things sorted before you buy.

  I did my install/config class online, and it was pretty cool.  I myself blocked essentially in a conference room for four days with a few laptops, a projector with a webex computer and a speaker.     There were about a dozen other people in the class and a remote monitor.  We each had a Proliant DL360 or two to use for the duration of four days (at a remote site in San Jose).  The instructor took us by the basic build and gave us partners to merge with try vCenter.  It was back on VI3, but I don't know that the class of vSphere 4 is much the same.  The focus is on the construction of a basic system, the creation and management of virtual machines, resource management, basic troubleshooting, etc.  There was little to not focus on scripting in the first course of install/config.

  The test itself was very much of any other certification exam.  The class prepares you well, and the examination plan will allow an overview.

  My biggest tip is to give you a lot of hands on experience.  Take the 60 days of testing, find hardware test and the construction/break/fix.  Even a laptop with 4 GB of memory can be used to build a test lab.

• Why the prereq courses?

  Why is it mandatory to attend an approved course to be a certified secure Channel? If you already have knowledge, why pay money and yawn your way through a few days in a classroom?

  Knowledge should be not what has been tested and can be used for your certification? Is this a way for VMWare sell more course Material or what?

  Today, there are several ways to acquire knowledge; Books White, webcasts, eval installs, forums... Appoint you. So, again, why is a required course?

  I don't understand?

  There will certainly be a PCV for vSphere, he is already underway as well as tutorials 'upgrade '.

  Don't forget that the current review is "VCP on VI3," anyone who wishes only to hold that title and there already will not need to do a thing. Those who want the "VCP on vSphere" (or whatever it ends up being called) will certainly need to do another review, at least.

  All will become clear in the coming weeks...

  I believe you can pass the test, but you will not be recognized as a PCV until all the prereqrisites have been met.

  Hi Welcome to the forums.

  The total cost depends on a) how much tuition fees. (b) course how you decide to do. (c) how many times take you the exam.

  You have to follow a course of training approved vmware in order to register for the examination of the secure Channel. Take a look through the forums, a good starting point is the training section and the education of VMware site

• Download the new course of Tiger Woods 2008 that are compatible with Windows 7 64 bit

  I downloaded the new courses for Tiger Woods 08 when I hac XP but now have Windows 7 64 bit and are unable to download the course.  Is this a driver problem?  How do I go so I can download these courses?

  Having Windows 7 64 bits should not affect your ability to download contect for any game.  If you have upgraded your PC from XP to Windows 7, you may want to uninstall\reinstall the game and then try to download\install the additional courses.  If you have a problem to download, check that your firewall or antivirus does not download.  You can perform a clean boot , and then try to download.  If there is still a problem, you must contact EA support to see if they have alternative download sites to try.   You should ideally 32 GB of RAM to run vSphere Virtual Lab 6.

  I started studying for the VCP 4 Cert.  I intend to take the test in the first week of August and I want to assure you that it will always be available at this time here.  Second - I took all the classes for the VCP 4 test.  Can I take the test secure Channel 5?

  Given your current situation, you have two options:

  If you want VCP4 AND VCP5:

  Take the VCP4 exam > attend vSphere 5: What's New > exam VCP5

  If you only want to VCP5:

  Attend vSphere 5: What's New > exam VCP5

  If you do not want to achieve VCP4, I advise you to take the exam soon that I don't think that it will be available for much longer - vSphere 5 came out more than 6 months ago and I expect VMware to withdraw from the VCP4 exam before August.

  You can take the class as long as it is offered by VMware, so take your time.
