  I'm quite new to the BB MDS from the server perspective so hope not to mix the apples with berries :-)

  We develop client applications that use highly network connections and we would like to see how they behave when the BB is configured for BES and BES has the component MDS helped - thus, the scenario we would like to test is this: http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/bb_mds_arch_large.gif

  We want to achieve a test with not too much effort scenario because our goal is not hosting the BES for potential customers, it is only to have the most realistic scenario for our application testing.

  To perform this scenario:

  In addition, if the first path is not good, then I have good understandthe path would be:

  Exchange Server hosted somewhere (for example: Godaddy), then set up our BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express to this Exchange deployment. When we got the option activate Installing BES component to our BES MDS and finally reach to set up our BB devices to our BB Enterprise Server Express deployment. Is this fair?

  The BES can't force applications to use a specific connection Transport, but it can stop him to use those specific.

  The Note is correct, what UDP must be done by direct TCP or WiFi.

• Problems making VM to host exchanges - need help please!

  Hi all.  I'm having a problem with I script I have and could greatly grateful for the help.

  Little bit of background, I have written a script our team uses to generate shells VM.  The script prompts for a name, the type of operating system, cpu, memory, disk.  Then, it connects to vCenter and based on the credentials, this what data center to build.  Once selected, it then queries the datacenter for all available clusters.  The user selects the cluster and the script queries the hosts connected in the cluster, and then randomly selects one.  From there, he questions all exchanges of VM and presents a choice for the user to select.  Finally given what precedes, then goes and built the hull VM and it powers on.

  So thanks for the tip about hiding the warning message.  As the parameter seems to be depricated, I would like to change the code of a most appropriate syntax before she actually only l '.

  That said, I have found highest in the newspaper, the real error message preventing the script completed successfully by trying to create the virtual machine.  This time, it was RED everywhere...:

  "Message: an element with the same key has already been added."

  Once I found that the googs told me this post: first New - VM: an element with the same key has already been added.

  So I upgraded PowerCLI 5.5 Release 2, and of course, the problem disappeared!

  So now, with your advice on warning and googs, I solved the problem AND can hide these warnings until I change the code to use the appropriate syntax.

• Should I really have the professional edition?

  We would like to publish an application for the store with several folios for free.

  Right now I use the Creative Edition unique cloud that does not allow me to publish an application with several folios. I have read the discriptions of the different options (professional/business) and it is said that I have to update for professional or business to be able to publish and sell apps in the app store include several folios. But my point is we do not want to sell the app. We just want to create a magazine for free.

  So do I really need Professional or higher version?

  Hi Patomo,

  Creating multi folio apps requires a Pro license or business. It is not matter wheter your content is free or retail. Keep in mind that creating multi folio apps requires you to pay hosting fees. So there is an additional cost based on your downloads. Talk to your DPS dealer for more information on the numbers.

  Don't forget that you can create an application with the Pro license (update of the app is included too) but the level of the company allows to create applications as much as you want.

  I have a WRVS4400n. I have mail.mondomaine.fr that connects to my external IP address where my server is located. Whenever you goto which is the domain or ip address tries to connect to the router. I have remote mgmt disabled as well. Help?

  If you try to connect to mail.mondomaine.fr from inside the company, I'm not surprised, make you the router, but outside you should not get anything if nothing is passed and management is disabled. If this is true, something is wrong.

  Now, finally, I have checked that the WRVS does not support several addresses IP WAN, so for your mail server "mail.mondomaine.fr" must be your IP given to you by your ISP. However, once your exchange server is ready and you can access internally, you must transmit TCP 443 and 25 at least to your mail server. Nothing else to do for your typical exchange deployment.

  Steven Feuerstein Oracle used the wrong setting when you create the document - I fixed it so now you should not be able to remove it. Thanks for the heads up! (Steve, you should limit the authors of the document when you create - let me know if you need more information.)

  Just one question short and easy if all goes well. Is it really necessary for this client application to have administrator privileges?

  I ask because I am struggling to install the flash player in windows XP. If I find it absolutely necessary to have administrative privileges, I will give up as a result of the procedure.

• "Security error" when setting 'Microsoft Exchange Hosted Services' Exchange account (user in company)

  I am a user in a company with a very large company that actually uses Microsoft Hosted Exchange services hosted by Microsoft employees in their facilities.  I called Palm support and they were clueless and zero help.  The lady pointed me to some Palm article I had already read and only remotely had nothing to do with my problem.  I don't see anything about this error message in the forums and google searches. Sprint has even replaced my other reasons palm pre, and the same error occurs once I configured the exchange account. I also see the error when I set up my account on my pixi nine wives. Our pre and pixi have already exchange accounts set up with success on our phones that are hosted by sherweb. Sherweb's exchange accounts work fine. I tried to set up this account of microsoft hosted exchange 5 - 6 times with the same result. He accepts my configuration information and adds to the list of email accounts available in the meadow. However, it keeps popping up the message stating "error of security policy:"Exchange..." Tap for details"(with a yellow exclamation point). Then he said "Security policy error" the Exchange (first part of my email address) account is disabled because it is impossible to define security policies. "'Leave this option disabled' or 'delete account '. I know that something does not work because it applied a policy of password or PIN on my phone which is not necessary, unless the account has been added. I can also see it in the "Mobile devices" section of outlook web when I login. This is the place in web outlook where you can see the last time the device synchronized, if remote, you can wipe the phone etc. If anyone has an idea how to solve my problem please post. Any ideas? I'm fresh out of ideas on this issue and very frustrated by the Palm developers. Just another example of evil-development and practical tests by Palm. I hope they correct this problem on later versions, but I'm only slightly optimistic that they will never get this medium of exchange e-mail at the level necessary for the support of large corporations. What I know is that my Microsoft Hosted Exchange account works fine on a Windows Mobile phone and an iPhone 3GS (confirmed by the other coworks who have set up their phones using our Exchange services). Accordingly, I have no choice but Palm to blame for this problem instead of Microsoft. Please, Palm fully support microsoft exchange e-mail users!

  After a lot of research on the subject, here is my point of view on the State of support for MS Exchange @ Palm and other companies.

  Unfortunately, Palm Pre and Pixi, WebOS is not fully supported Microsoft Exchange.  This has led to numerous reports of frustrated customers and countless hours of time wasted by consumers and technical support trying to figure out how to connect these Palm devices to the MS Exchange e-mail servers.  Way to go Palm!  Provide support for all the free email accounts worldwide and decide not to develop a product that is able to support your most rich and more influential-based email clients.  These are the people who are most likely able to spend more money on your mobile products or make decisions for companies that are able to buy huge amounts of smart phones.  Way to go guys!  Penny wise and dollar foolish if you ask me!  Palm supports only partially a handful of MS Exchange security policies.  They document what they take in charge, but they do a very poor job of documenting or even explain the limitations of the software.  Their States of documentation that the security policies that are not supported will not be applied and that users will still be able to connect to the exchange server.  This is certainly not true based on the reported error and other similar user reports.  Here is how iPhone and Palm compare in regards to the support of MS exchange security policy.  Notice in the quotes below the iPhone supports the policy of 'require the encryption of devices' which is very probably used by your greater and more security conscious companies or Government institutions.  I'm sure that Palm's inability to support "device encryption" is why I get this error, even if I have really no way to prove it at the present time.  Come on Palm, if you go to support full POP3 and IMAP, you must provide the full support of the binding protocol and political security by Microsoft Exchange product.  Here is the comparison between iPhone and Palm WebOS:

  Windows Mobile 6.1 supports all THE policies.

  BlackBerry does not support the EAS (MS Exchange)

  Google's Android is not compatible EAS (they may have recently released some support but not full)

  Conclusion: If you want a mobile device that fully supports MS Exchange, buy something that is running Windows Mobile 6.1 (or higher) or even an iPhone 3 g (or more).  At least, until Palm decides they want to throw a development more $$ to support Microsoft Exchange E-mail to enhance their level of support.

• BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to Exchange hosted for Contacts/calendar with Optus

  I just changed from Vodafone to Optus who now looks like a bad move.

  I have a hosted exchange account and account with myhosting.com extra blackberry.  I have had my mail, calendar and contacts all sync between my laptop, iPad and Blackberry.

  Since the evolution of the Optus, I can only synch emails.  They say that I need BES that will cost me a $49 / month.  I saw also sometimes activation of trade via the device settings on my Torch but which has now disappeared.  I used it to try to activate directly with the blackberry from MyHosting but server who kept not.  I suspect that optus blocks maybe authentication in some way.

  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  The solution seems to be NOT register with Optus!

  Optus will provide the BES if I go with an extra $49 / mth while Vodafone will do it free of charge.

  In addition, Optus refuse to honor the 10 days cooling off period because I opened the box and took the phone to make sure that everything works.

  I now have a complaint with the Ombudsman of the telecommunications industry.

  Interesting to see how many complaints as it is on the page Facebook of Optus, despite the ironic situation where you have to 'Like' to write a complaint!

  Hi Kathar,

  As mentioned Dheeraj, it is supported OOTB in Oracle B2B with a host profile TP. Just add the identity of the Group validates all host profile TP and

  1. for incoming agreements, do not include the id of group in the agreement. When executing, B2B will match the incoming group with that added to the profile id.
  2. for cases coming out where each agreement (and where corresponding message) will have different GID, add the respective group id in the agreement.
  3. for outgoing cases where an agreement may be used to send messages with different group id, use internal properties in your EDI XML to replace the id of the group mentioned in the agreement with the desired execution.
