  I've got script of unilingual IVR which distributes calls in two separate CSQ (services and logistics), based on the entry of the appellant in the IVR menu. Each QSC contains several agents. There is flow under script that checks if a current day is holiday (similar to the example of Cisco HolidayCheck.aef)

  Now, I have to extend this script and make it multilingual. Many aspects in the script as dates.xml to check, name of the CSQ (each lang have services and logistics), lang for IVR guests are exactly the same files wav localized to specific national environment in different directories called.

  My idea is to parse the input (IVR or by number called country-specific) and on this basis set a variable named input_lang (string) with the values 'en', 'sk' or other). Then set other variables for good localization based on this variable input_lang.

  I have customization variables:

  input_lang (String) = «»

  holiday_datelist (Document) = [DOC]

  ivr_lang (language) = [L]

  CSQ_service (String) = «»

  CSQ_logistics (String) = «»

  When I set input_lang variable, for example "sk" (Slovak), I have other variables defined as:

  Set holiday_datelist = "DOC [dates -" + input_lang + ".xml]".

  Set ivr_lang = 'L []' + input_lang + '] '.

  Set CSQ_service = '-CSQ_servis' + input_lang

  Set CSQ_logistics = '-CSQ_logistics' + input_lang

  But this result in this strange values (not so weird, because they are all 'String-like')

  holiday_datelist = "DOC [dates - sk.xml]" instead of DOC [dates - sk.xml]

  ivr_lang = "L [sk]" instead of L [sk]

  etc... but the names of CSQs are also strings and the results are OK

  The script stops and throws a value unidentified exception / error variable.

  Y at - there no way how to fix string variable as lang/document as a representation? I think I have to get rid of these quotes in the beginning and the end of the value. I want only to concatenate the values of strings void variables based on each lang.

  Or me as a result of the wrong way and everything to do in a different way?

  When I set input_lang variable, for example "sk" (Slovak), I have other variables defined as:

  I think that you are up to something and just need to make some minor changes.

  1. instead of assign the directory "dates - sk.xml" to the document variable, assign it to a string that points to the file name and the relevant path. Then initialize the document variable by using the step to "create a Document file. This should help you over any bumps with typcasting.

  2. for the language, it would be logical to use a statement 'switch' as follows:

  Channel switch (input_lang)

  Connection: Slovak

  Set ivr_lang = L [sk]

  Connection: en - uk

  Set ivr_lang = L [en - uk]

  ...

  Maybe it's not as effective as the road you have decided to take this point but it would work. The only time where I messed up with the support of several languages, I used the trigger JTAPI. It will work for you, if you have walked the road of the language based on the "called" number (as you suggest one way possible, you would take). In this way, you can have several triggers pointing to the same application and the variable of language may already be set on the trigger. You still wish to create/edit your variables. You'd probably want to focus on the expression editor methods. toString() and. getLanguage().

• Watched folder processing XML document

  We are trying to convert an Adobe Central documents above to Adobe LiveCycle. We are currently working on the process of work. We have one where we have created a watched folder. The process is expected to work with XML and produce an output document. The input variable must be of type 'Document' or 'XML '? I kept it in as long as 'Document' because the XML documents will be placed in the folder. After that I don't know how to retrieve the XML data in the document. Anyone have ideas on this?

  I have a process called through SOAP that generates a new PDF with data by the assembler.

  I have a need to get the value of the property this document variable remoteURL, then I can place in the XML output that is passed to the caller.

  I need to pass this URL back and not the Document variable as an output variable.

  Is it possible to access this value of 'Inside' the process that created the document?

  It is not as an attribute of a Document.

• Get the content of a document

  I am currently using LiveCycle ES 8.0 and receive a TIFF image in an input document (Document variable).  I need to take that document, get its content (the image itself) and convert it to a string variable that I can store in a database.  Once it is in the database, a Web service call get byte-code image and put it in the shape of the image field.

  Does anyone know of a way to do this in'RE 8.0?  Thanks in advance and if I need to be more specific, please let me know.

  There is to say that it is not possible to pass an object to the jdbc service document, but that's not true. You can do if you use the parameter query option.

  The code you see here was executed within the Script to run.

  However, I still think that you should be able to do all that using the output of the area within the JDBC service operation. But both ways should work.

  That's why you can't call a function JavaScript of FormCalc.

  I have a process that is supposed to create a zip file of PDF files on the server and send it as an attachment. This process does work quite as expected. It creates a zip file, but it is not able to send email. This is how it has been implemented:

  -Java code sends a card that contains all the values required to send the email - subject, address, name of attachment.

  -The Livecycle process accesses the card and use the values as a parameter for the service of electronic mail in the form of Xpath expression,

  [for example, process_data/EmailOptions[@id='ToAdd'] where

  -More is the plan adopted by the code of java as a parameter

  -N is the name of the key to the address value

  Question are-

  1. I don't know if I go to the map in the sense as described above.

  2. How should we indicate the zip (already created on the server) for the mail Service.

  The expression that you use to access the n just seems to me... .that parameter expects a string is possible you're pssing in a map of something other than strings? Can you assign the n to a string variable and see if it fills (use recording and playback to see this)

  The zip file should be placed in a document variable before you can join the email service. If you know its location, you can use the Document read operation to get it from the file system inot a Doc var.

• V7 E-mail receiver vs Startpoint v9

  I am upgrading a client from LC7.2.2 to LC9.  The workflow includes 7 approval steps that participants only interact with PDF files by e-mail.  In /AdminUI, all incoming emails are configured to be received in the configuration of the "incoming mail".  The form is configured with a submit button which opens the participants e-mail client and attached a XDP containing a process ID.  The participant must then press Send (in Outlook) that goes to a system mailbox.  Once received, LC7 match then the email via the process ID and progresses it workflow.  There is no service to send emails to participants that is managed through the simple assignments.

  It seems to me this feature does not work in LC9.  Is it true that you must configure separate Email points to receive the email?  If so, how can I manage combine them the incoming emails to the parent workflow.  I guess I would have to handle it all with the sub-process?

  Please, help me, I am in a bind.

  I'm not sure to understand your use case... it seems that you tried a bit of everything!

  Do you use an xdp or a pdf form? Do you need to present as a pdf or xdp?

  Should you specifically customize your e-mail messages on each task? ("Include form data in Email" tells me that you create custom email templates.) You could also use the main model in /AdminUI and turn on the form and the data there and receive a generic email with attachment for each task.

  I never saw a problem with "Include shape data in email" causing problems to deploy. I suspect that there is another cause. The server logs and workbench can give you a clue.

  'Submit it via player' in the service of starting point and the user are used in the case where you have no button to submit your form and you're using reader 9.1 and later to submit a form. It's a very specific use case... I don't think that you will need.

  Setting it to 'Submit to PDF' need you a document variable not a xml variable. My guess is that this has created your deployment problem.

  Try this from scratch simple use cases to understand how things work:

  (1) creating an application.

  (2) create a xdp (or pdf) form with the fields of process (by checking the box "by e-mail" on the grave on the fields of process Wizard.)

  (3) create a new process and choose "when a user sends a task in the work space" as the starting point, then your form. Follow the rest of the wizard.

  (4) on the point of departure, the wizard chose the xdp/pdf as the Trump and set the variable profile and default xml automatically. (Do not select submit drive).

  (5) add a service to the user and on the Presentation tab & data, choose the same assets, profile action and variable. You choose user selection of the Initial user tab.

  (6) to deploy the application.

  (7) in the /AdminUI enable notifications email with the form and the associated data task assignment.

  When you submit the starting point, the user to the next step you will receive an email with the attached form.

  Reader Extensions is not necessary.

  I have 2 drop down menus both with all menu options drop down same (choice).  About 80% of the time the drop-down list

  dropdown2 value will be identical to that of dropdown1, so I want to pre-fill dropdown2 with the value of dropdown1 but also allow the user to choose a different value for dropdown2 if they need to.

  I know that I can popluate dropdown2 the value of dropdown1 with the custom calculation script following;

  Event.Value = this.getField("dropdown1").value

  This fills the field very well, but the user cannot choose one different value other than in dropdown1 if necessary.

  In my efforts to understand this out is to see that a SWITCH command can be useful, but I don't know how to use the command correctly, or if it is the best way to go.

  Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

  I was afraid that you would say that, because it complicates things a bit. You must have a way to indicate that the user makes a selection in the second drop-down list box. You can use a global document variable for this. To set up, add a new javaScript to the document level (Advanced > Document Processing > Document JavaScripts) that says the following:

  Option indicating whether the user has changed the value of combo box 2

  var cb2_changed = false;

  Make sure this code is outside of a function definition. You can call the JavaScript to the document level you want (for example, "init") and remove the skeleton of function, it provides by default.

  Next, add the custom script after typing for the first drop-down list box:

  Get the value of the selected user

  Get a reference to the other combo box

  This code assumes that combo box items have the value of exports and that they are identical to the combo box 1 and 2. In addition, select the 'Value selected to validate immediately' option for the two combo boxes. You can create a general function of at the level of the document based on this code, so it can be reused by any number of pairs of box drop-down list that you want to behave this way. Post again if you get stuck.

  You need create a loop in your process on Workbench. First count nodes and assign a variable of integer type.

  /process_data/@number = count(/process_data/xmlComplete/archiveIndexRecords/indexRec)

  Then you need to get the data from the first node to write to the disk.

  / process_data/FirstNode = / process_data/xmlComplete/archiveIndexRecords/indexRec [number (/process_data/@i)] (I did another variable of integer type that is 1 as default.)

  When you get the data from the first node set a document variable and write down on the disc. Then add 1 to the variable i and control it with the number variable (number of nodes). Decide for the next record or not.

  You call a LiveCycle orchestration? If Yes, then you would define a string as an input parameter (make sure you so there is no time limit). Then when you call the function, the string contains the content encoded in base64 in your PDF. You must enter this in a document variable so in a setValue operation you can assign it to a VAR of document using this function:

  getDocFromBase64
