• force GBA v.5 to join the domain with a certain domain controller

  I try to join a CBS c. 5.3 to the domain.  My acs in A location, I can join without problem using my account. When I try to join the ACS in location B to the same domain with the same account, it does not work.

  I looked for the ad client debugging logs and noticed that the ACS in location B goes to some a domain controller. However, I would have expected the ACS to contact a different DC, located on the same site that GBA... This does not happen.

  My question: how to determine what contact DC GBA? Is it possible to force HQ to reach by connecting a certain DC?

  Please check your sites and services in your DNS configuration to see if the right domain controllers are sent to the ACS when attempting to connect to the domain. This function is essential and allows to optimize the links that GBA chooses to join the domain.

  The way this works is that ACS is trying to resolve dns records for the global catalog servers and domain controllers for the dns server configured in the initial installation script. Then the dns makes a decision based on the source ip address of the dns request and think that the ACS is in a specific site and returns the result which domain controllers and global catalogs is configured in this specific site.

  Hello. I have implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 for a University.

  I need to create the web page application online for future student to apply for admission.

  My installations of PeopleSoft are below:

  Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

  Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

  Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

  (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g

  (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

  3) web server: logic of Web 10.3.6.0

  (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

  (5) two Instances of huge database on the database server: 8.53 PeopleTools and Campus Solution 9.0.

  I installed Oracle ADR (Application Development Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 with Weblogic 10.3.6.0 in Oracle Linux 5.10 Server machine.

  The next thing to do is to create a WebLogic domain for my web page of application for Admission online.

  On the documents http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23943_01/index.htm , I can't find the exact document for creating a WebLogic with ADR domain 11.1.1.6

  I have 2 Instances of data in my database server and both have run successfully for a long time.

  My web page of online Admission application is ready to be loaded in ADR.

  My questions are:

  (1) how to start ADR and load my web page of application for Admission online in ADR?

  (2) how to create a WebLogic domain to implement my admission application web page online in ADR?

  (3) what I have to creat RCU before creating a WebLogic domain?

  A problem I see is that you are using the wrong jdbc driver. You must use the thin driver for example instead of home. It's only a small syntax difference, but simply that you cannot test the jdbc data source.

  As long as the DB server can be reached by the hostname (as the wls is not an active DNS you must use the IP address of the db server), you should be able to set up a connection to the db server.

  

  The resulting connection string looks like

  JDBC:Oracle:thin:@11.11.11.11:1521:ORCL

  Where 11.11.11.11 is a fictitious ip address. If you look at your connection string looks like

  JDBC:Oracle:thin:@11.11.11.11:1521/orcl

  The difference is that after the post (1521), you see a ':' for example drivers (including 11 g normally) then you see one ' / ' for the pilot on duty (which is used for 12 c).

  The OWSM_MDS schema will be created and used if one of your application using MDS. I don't know that you can install it without this scheme. Best to create.

  We use the version JDK1.6_5 with Weblogic 10.3 on Solaris 10 64 bits and know breaks SIGNALSEV of the virtual machine. We believe that this has been fixed in a later version of the JDK1.6, but we would like to confirm the supported version / approved for the platform. At present, we are considering using the last relase JDK1.6_16. I have searched for information on the oracle site, but can't find. Could someone please help, that these failures are originally a nonassociated failure of weblogic and our applications running inside.

  WebLogic 10.3 with JDK1.6_16 is supported. You can upgrade the jdk to solve the problem.

  I'm new with weblogic. I have a question on the establishment of a cluster on multiple physical computers (horizontal cluster layout). I read the BEA documentation, but am still confused.
  
  I have installed weblogic 10.3 on machine A and created a domain with a group which consists of 2 servers application (running locally). If I want to have another server application running on the physical computer B to add to the cluster, should I create a domain with a similar name on computer B, create an application server and add it to the cluster, or should I just use the commands of utility 'pack' and 'unzip' for this purpose?
  
  As I understand it, the command to unpack/pack is used if I want to manage the remote application servers. So if I 'pack' of the field on computer A and "unzip" on computer B, am I supposed to be able to connect to the management node to a machine B machine?
  
  Sorry if the last part of my question is confusing, I couldn't get it to work (am not in the office right now so I can't provide the error of trying to connect to the node Manager).
  
  If someone could point me to some tutorials or documentation more, it'll be a great help as well.

  Your interpretation is correct. First of all, you need to install WLS of the same version on the remote computer you want to add to the domain.
  Then, create a jar of model of managed server with the command of the pack on the local computer. Then use unzip to unzip the jar of model on the remote machine.

  Use the pack command to create a managed server template (a .jar file which, by default, only contains the files needed to create a managed server domain directory), copy the model to the remote computer and the unpacking of the model to create a directory for a managed server domain.

  Note: You must create the directory of the Managed Server domain on the remote computer that meets the definition for managed servers specified in the model.

  Here are the steps to create a domain directory of the server run on a remote machine:

  Create a server managed by using the pack command model. A managed server template, by default, only contains the files needed to create a server run on a remote machine.
  Create a managed server domain directory by copying and unpacking the server run on a remote machine model.
  Start the server on the remote computer.

  WebLogic 10R3 is not yet certified for use with 11.1.1.1. It does not allow the configuration also works correctly at this point.

  Hi, I hope someone can lead/help me with this seemingly simple problem.  I have a Windows 2008 domain with 2 servers and clients Windows 7 15.  We want the time synchronized on all the servers and PC locally, both internally, everything is like it is all that concerned.  Things seem to be turned off after a few minutes on each PC.  Can someone help me understand how to do this very easily and, possibly, without having to go to each PC and make changes?

  I come here with great hope and told me that I wouldn't be disappointed.

  I have a small setup hardware multi (Airport express to Apple, Linksyss single router befsr41 wired, ports linksys switch 8).

  So here's my setup as a Time Warner cable modem > BEFSR41 > Apple Airport Express the BEFSR41 is also used so I can reach my TV and decoder via the switch.

  My airport express is used to connect my wireless laptop and I'm talking about the infamous WVC80N to Airport express.

  My problem is that whenever I go through the guided installation, he finds the wireless but does not connect to configure the TZO account I (paid account) in the end.

  I tried to ask the TZO people and they say that I need to talk to apple to port forwarding... I can't seem to find how carry forward in the Airport express.

  To set up the camera I plugged on the switch that is connected to the BEFSR41.

  All in all the Airport express receives its ip address of BEFSR41 (each single device is BEFSR41 ip, I think)

  So, how can I get the camera to talk to airport express...

  You want to reconfigure the WVC80N so connect the camera with the BEFSR41 and open the BEFSR41 configuration page and click on the status tab, there you will be able to see a sub-tab "Local network"click on that and then click on the button"client DHCP table" here in this chart you will be able to see the IP address of the camera...

  Then open the camera with this IP address configuration page... Do the settings on the camera as on the Airport express wireless and static IP address according to the BFSR41...

  

  Open the page of configuration of the camera again with the new IP address and then provide TZO account information and click "update now"... In addition to allowing the port number 1025...

  

  After all of these settings, you must open the same port on the BEFSR41 router. You must open the port on the BEFSR41, as is the main router...

  

  After making these settings you can use the camera remotely with the TZO account...

• Windows 7 does not block on a domain with a 15 minute lockout policy

  Using Windows 7 Professional on a domain with servers 2008 as the domain controller.  Group Policy is the computer automatic locking after 15 minutes of inactivity.  When I look at my screen saver options, the options to change the time is grayed out so I know it receives from the server policy.

  I do not see the services running in the background which could hold only snaps do not.  I have several other Win 7 Pro on the nextwork with the same software that block correctly after 15 minutes.

  I can leave my laptop for more than 15 minutes even hours and when I come back, that's not invited me to a ctl + alt + delete to log back.

  You can try to create a new OSCustomizationSpec (New OSCustomizationSpec) with only the domain (domain, DomainUserName, DomainPassword) join.

  Then, apply the OSCustomizationSpec to the VM (s) with the Set-VM cmdlet (and the OSCustomizationSpec parameter).
