• Aspire M5 - 581T turns off unexpectedly during a battery

  Hi friends,

  I own an Acer Aspire M5 - 581T.
  All with it works fine except present a problem.

  While I use it on battery power (i.e. do not load), it shuts down unexpectedly. If the charger is plugged in, it works fine. No stop unexpected offs.

  Can someone suggest me a solution?
  It is the unwanted battery? should replace the dough to fix this?

  I couldn't pinpoint exactly what screws needed to be strengthened, so I safely each screw.

  And as if by magic, my headache is gone. I used the laptop until the battery was 10% (about 3.5 hours), and it did not stop unexpectedly even once.

  I recently bought Switch 10. As it has only 32 GB SSD cut into 24 GB of windows and 8 GB partition for recovery, I tried to merge these partition to get rid of the recovery and have only a single partition SSD. Longbstory short, I failed and got a blue screen, then a restart and now I have this:

  I have Windows 8.1 the official site of Microsoft, I have orginal CDkey (not OEM Acer's). The version I downloaded is a 32/64-bit Installer (I think, but it can be 32-bit only)
  I tried to configure the BIOS by myself, but it always puts me the blue screen of windows (with error 0000225).

  I prepared the USB stick to a .iso image with a program called Rufus, GPT partitioning system.

  Then I changed the BIOS settings to allow non-secure startup and boot from USB HDD first, and when you start, I hit F12. But I still get that: http://imgur.com/yE48diG

  -What would I do? Be able to start Windows 8.1 installator, clear all partitions on SSD and make sure that you have a 32GB with windows.
  -What I need? Help, because I can not boot from USB and run Windows 8.1 installator.

  I found the solution, everything works fine.

  To do this, you must keep two things in mind:

  1. you may not use Microsoft official .iso for the USB program - it does create a bootable USB stick for UEFI bios, the official downloader for Windows have the ability to create USB bootable .iso downloaded, but it is not able to do.

  You must create bootable ISO using software of Rufus (type simpy rufus in google or LINK), then all you have to do is to make sure that you have selected GPT partition scheme for your bootable usb key and the FAT32 file system.

  2. the most improtant thing which is our Acer Aspire Switch 10 supports ONLY 32-bit Windows, just all the instalators Windows that contains the version 64 bits are wrong. Conclusion is simple, you need only 32 bits instalator, the 32-bit/64-bit custom works (like only instalation of 64-bit that is obvious)

  I want to update the USB drivers for my 722 an Aspire in order to use an Android device that is not recognized by my computer. ACER driver download page listed possible downloads, but I can't say that one is for the USB drivers... for example the list includes... 3G, Audio, LAN, Bluetooth, card reader, press the button, VGA, wireless network.  I'd appreciate any help that you can tell me one that includes the USB drivers. • 3.1 on my Aspire E5 - 575 G USB port does not work.

  The computer recognizes not all what I plug it into the port. My Acer initially provided with Windows 8, and now I am running Windows 10.  A driver I lost in the transition?  I tried all the updates Windows and Acer, but maybe I missed a.  Nobody else seems to have this problem on this forum.  Any ideas?

  1. disconnect your power and restart.

  2. If you are not in the version 1.15 of the Bios, download and install it.

  3. stop, shut off the power and go back, find the tiny battery reset the hole and using a paper clip, push gently into the hole until you hear a click and hold for 5 seconds. Plug in and try.

  4. go to device Manager, Bus USB controllers and click on the arrow. Right click on the USB 3.0 controller and select software update of the driver.

  find your model and install the (correct for your system) chipset driver and pilot of e/s series.

• Windows 7 media don't Center not streaming from USB

  I have windows 7 media center, installed at home and I have all of my music stored on a USB external drive. I also have Media Center of windows TV recording on this drive. I noticed that this server windows media not to broadcast all the files on the USB on my PS3 or any other device.

  The location on the external hard drive has been added to my library and everything seems fine and dandy, but I can't see any files on the USB which is where everthing is strored.

  Is this a bug or is it simply not taken any supported?

  PS. the drive is connected on the computer and I disabled sleep to avoid all the problems that may relate to the reader not to wake from sleep.

• Don't Aspire Switch 10 no sound after clean windows install

  Go to Device Manager > view > show hidden devices. If you have other devices > IWD Aud-Device_6, uninstall it. Then restart your system. Go to Acer supports downloads of drivers for your model. Download Realtek Audio Platform Installer from pilots and quick access. Install Reltek and then restart the system. Install quick access, then restart. Finally install the drivers for the platform. Restart and you should have sound.

  I've been running a M3470 for about 4 years now and last year I installed a GTX 760. During the past two months, the screen would go dark and return with the error: "Graphics Driver has Stopped Responding and has recovered." After that, the computer would break a bit randomly and now... When you press the power button, the light comes on and so do the fans, but no data is sent to the screen and there is no beep to signpost a start.   Try this:

  Unplug the AC power cable

  Open the left side of the housing of the PC (look ahead)

  Disconnect the HARD disc and unplug the RAM memory modules

  I have upgraded to Windows 10 and everything worked well, but within 2 weeks, I was not able to get my TV screen to work when connected to the laptop with an HDMI cable. A hunt around Google led me to believe that it is the 4200 graphics card that is the problem, because it is not supported on Windows 10.

  I went to roll back to Windows 7, but as 10 was on my pc since more than 30 days, which is not an option that I can find.

  Is there a work around for this issue of HDMI, or a way to get back to windows 7 when I never had one drive etc. in the first place?

  I use Adobe Audition and when I tried (for the 1st time) to record speech from the internet it says "Default Input (no device available). Is there something that does not work or I have to download something that I could record from the internet on all the other machines of Acer I've had.

  Unfortunately, we are unable to support Adobe Audition, then I wouldn't be able to speak directly to this software configuration.

  I suggest only to define the input as your sound card device, since you have incoming audio from the ' net.

• Aspire M5 - 581T - Zoom problem.

  Can someone tell me please how to disable the automatic zoom.  It drives me crazy to have pages zoom in and out.  I use Windows 8.

  In fact, I think that I thought about it.  Under MOUSE under MOMENTUM, there is a checkbox to activate the Zoom In and Zoom out.  I unchecked which box and have not experienced any problem since then.  Thank you for your help.
