  • ReadyBoost - tab is missing in the properties, and it does not work!

Title says it all. When I insert a disc and the Autorun dialog opens, if I click "Speed up my system" it just opens the property page for the device with the free space, etc. The ReadyBoost tab isn't there.

I especially don't think that I NEED, I'm 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium with 4 GB of RAM. But this isn't the point, please do not answer with "you don't need, so don't bother. All I see is that is not a feature that is supposed to be there, if I need it or not, it could indicate a bigger problem with my PC.

Where the ReadyBoost tab? I know in Win7, the service is incorporated with Superfetch, and I checked this service is launched and automatic. I tried to format the USB key as each file system and also tried the switching device to "Optimize for performance" etc. Nothing. I ran "sfc/scannow", and he found no problem.

    Any help guys?

    Hello

ReadyBoost in Windows 7 is much better integrated and provides even better than Vista speed.

ReadyBoost still help your performance if you run a lot of memory intense programs, run a
many programs in the same time, or use some that access large files. In Windows 7 there is none
upper limit of the amount of memory to use for ReadyBoost. In Vista, it was limited to 4 GB.

  • Eliminate the 'read only' files on DVD. Went to properties and clicked off the coast on the 'read only' box, but it does not work.

Put some files on DVD and then tried to change them.   Receipt message they are 'read only' tried to click on 'read only' in the properties, but this does not work.  The 'read only' is back.  How can we change the files on a DVD?

In general, once you write multi-utilisations, you can not edit the file.  If you use a rewritable media, you can delete the file and write again.

DVD writing (burning) is not present natively by XP.  What application you are using, including version?  Support for packet writing?

  • Run VI Invoke node: VI works, EXE does not work?

It is LV2009 without patches or updates. I call buffer.vi of static reference with a collection of nodes to invoke to run a VI. I don't have a very good reason for it, but don't want this code on the block diagram. I can't wait to put a lot of effort in this since I can just drag the code on the main scheme and I am sure it will work, but I do not understand why it gives me error 1000: VI not in a State compatible with this operation?

In the EXE file, when I check the status of the execution of the buffer.vi until I say it runs, sometimes bad. Same code in VI, sometimes slow. I also tried to replace the static VI reference with a reference open VI by using the name of the buffer and received the same error message. I have the buffer VI included in the compilation under always included.

So I was building an example of project because I didn't post all, boredom was the example ON what EXE has no error. WTF. Then I realized that I had another call from node in the boot sequence. OOPS. I put that in there thinking that the only way it would be mistake was if the VI was running before he called, in this case I wanted an abortion there. It turns out also-error (1044 locked VI) when running in an EXE file, even if this particular node using says he works with the runtime. SO, he tried to abort a VI that was not working. The initial error, 1000, just said not compatible with call node state, did not say that one.

Yes, sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help. Maybe someday I'll understand the problem that I was led to this, guess who is the fact that I can't debug EXEs. Kind of, I think it has something to do with an XControl I always use it because they always appear as corrupted files just before that the debugger fails. Anyway, thanks again, I'll plug that into the real system and see what else does not work.

All classes and properties used in an affair of selection must be public.

If you do your commentProperty, getProperty (and setProperty, although I suppose it doesn't matter) methods in public class has, it works as expected.

  • Properties property example javascript in Adobe introduction to scripting does not work?

I am completely new to scripting so I thought I would start with the guide Adobe pdf script.

Page 18 it gives examples of 3 ways to use properties. The first 2 work very well, but the third simply ignores the part of the properties even when I directly copy paste it.

    It's the Tip:

JS also provides a properties property, which allows you to set multiple values in a statement. You

Place all of the values between the braces ({}). Within the braces, you use a colon (:)) to separate one)

name of the property of its value and the pairs of value of property name/separation of property by using a comma (,).

    myDoc var = app.documents.add)

    myLayer var = myDoc.layers.add)

    myLayer.properties = {name: "my new layer", visible: false}

So I know about Photoshop, you must use ArtLayers, but even in Illustrator it added another layer without renaming or the definition of visibility.

Anyone has an idea why this does not work?

That might work for Illustrator but it does not for Photoshop. I'll see if I can find this owner of documents and bring them to clean it. See my post above for links to the Photoshop documents. You can try to post your Illustrator questions or comments on the Illustrator scripts forum.

  • My usb port does not work. Device Manager says he has a "code 10".

My dad recently bought a laptop on ebay. It's a HP Omnibook 900 with a 4 GB HD. The previous owner had improved from the original from Windows 98 to XP with SP3.

It has a USB port in the back & it does not work!

In fact it is not even appear in the Device Manager! I need to select 'Show hidden devices' to see same the USB hub root. The USB port has a yellow warning icon. In properties, it indicates the port is enabled but does not work because of a "Code 10".

What the devil is a "code 10" & how in the heck to solve this problem, so that the USB works?

The port is powered. When I connect devices usb load they turn on & load, but, of course, are not displayed on the computer. My best theory is that the port can be usb 1.0 but the software is intended for usb 2.0 and what could be the cause of the problem. That's just guessing on my part because I do not know with certainty if the usb is 1.0 or 2.0.

It is especialy boring being the only external devices can I plug a CD player (unwritten) & a floppy drive. It would make my life much more pleasant if I could run software, backup & file transfer, etc. with a usb drive instead! It could even than the laptop quite useful to be worth the bucks thirties, my father paid for it!

    Help, please. Thank you.

    Hi SnarFoo,

    Method1

The Code 10 error code is generated when Device Manager it has not enough information or error that has spread upward through the device drivers is not recognised by the Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

See the article and check if that helps.

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then remove and reinstall all USB controllers on the computer and check if that helps.

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

    (b) click on the hardware tab.

    (c) click the Device Manager button.

    (d) expand Bus USB controllers.

    (e) right click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    (f) restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.

    (g) connect the removable USB storage device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

  • Scrolling does not work on Satellite Z30-A-1DJ

    Hello

Summer on the internet trying to find an answer for my problem; How to make scrolling, pinching etc on my touchpad?

Scrolling never works with this laptop (2 months) and up to now, even moving cursor was not reliable, since sometimes when starting the laptop touchpad was completely dead and has not reacted to what.

Now there seems to be problems with it since I uninstalled the driver for the touchpad and restarted my computer, but still scroll does not work.

Troubleshooting for this problem was no good.
They all lead you to the first research of mouse in the start-> mouse-> advanced properties screen and from here you can adjust the parameters of mouse pad.

I don't even have this tab on my laptop, while all the others are there (buttons, pointers, pointer, material options).

How can I adjust the settings of touchpad on Satellite A-z30-1DJ?

The characteristics mentioned touchpad should be accompanied by software as hardware.
There are standards of touchpad different as Synaptics, Alps, but also momentum that support different features and different software.

In the case where this software isn't installed or is not working, the touchpad to scroll as well as other features are not available.
It could also be that tactile built-in module support no additional features.

To my knowledge the Satellite A-Z30-1DJ should be equipped with an Alps Electric touchpad and this touch pad is different and does not support the same parameters as MOMENTUM or Synaptic touchpad.

However, as you said, the additional parameters for touchpad Alps Electric are in
Control Panel? mouse? last tab (Advanced)

If you wish, you can try to install the driver for the Synaptics touchpad that has been released for other series of laptops as Portege Z10T-A

I'm not very well if this Synaptics software would work correctly under the Alps touchpad m power but its definitely worth a try.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 GB: my modem does not work - remote computer is not responding

My A200 - 1 GB modem does not work correctly. It tries to connect, but at last he said computer remote does not respond. As I noticed it has a modem 56kpbs of "I agree."
It is shown as Toshiba Software Modem.

I tried so many times it does not work properly.
I tried changing the COM ports assigned to several other ports like COM1, COM10 COM, COM 4 ext... same thing happens.

When I diagnose the modem via the properties of the modem without issues considered.
Even when I'm component via the modem to a telephone line (I mean as a call) it works fine.
I mean that he can call on a mobile phone or phone of the Earth.

A few times he suddnely connects but connected sppedis 24kpbs.

But the same phone line works correctly with my modem office both as the same as another modem from the laptop.

It seems that there is a fault on my modem 56 k.
I tried even uninstall and reinstall, but the issue still exists.

Can someone help me in this case?

    Hello

I don t think that the modem would be malfunctions.
Fact is that if you use the wrong modem configuration, the line may be busy and the modem would not answer.

I recommend you configure the modem again.
In programs-> Toshiba-> Networking, you would find the Modem region Select utility that must be configured for the same country.
Delete the existing profile and create a new!

    Best regards and good luck

  • HP 15 f039wm: dvd player does not work

    Hello

I edited this below for new readers, so what I describe is in the same place, not 15 + posts *.

I got this new laptop in December of 2014 (hp15 f039wm), and I've never played any DVD on it so far and no game video DVD disc. Can I put another CD or DVD in this computer, to install software or backup files, I have, and they work fine.

But video DVD discs do not play, even if I can put these same DVD-video in laptops with windows 7, and they play very well, but not on this laptop Windows 8.1.

Software DVD or backup files I will start, spin, run and install, but DVD-video? No luck.

The only thing that happens with video DVD is I put in, it works for 1/2 second, jump and then keeps popping for a few minutes, zero. She never stops jumping for the next 2 minutes until I get pretty frustrated to get out again. And his jump, he is not a normal sounds to jump off any CD... Instead, the jump, what makes, looks like more to a sound effect of a late 1980s video game. Only a few times did I click with the right button on the drive to see the properties of the disc, so it's like it was barely able to recognize.

    And this is not dirty.

So I checked for updates of driver in the Device Manager, update everything, and it's to date, but still nothing. I have the updates of windows too, also and still nothing.

This computer comes with cyberlink PowerDVD12. It does not work. I have the latest update of this also.

I also tried VLC Player, with the last update, and does not either.

Any ideas? Because the DVD-video works in any other Windows 7 laptop I.

    FIXED!

Just got the new drive for about $15, put it in, and everything works fine now. Plays perfectly.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello Daniele

It's really strange that the touchpad does not work even if you have installed the right driver and installed the operating system again. At the first moment, we can say there is probably a hardware problem, but please be sure touchpad is listed in the Device Manager and also active correctly (FN keys).

Check it please all the properties of the mouse.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - touchpad does not work

Hi all that I need help urgent because it drives me crazy. First of all, I use XP PRO. My laptop is fairly new, only around the age of 4 months, I had no problem with it at all. I formatted my laptop yesterday and reinstalled all the drivers that I downloaded here:

    http://www.ISD.Toshiba.com.au

and everything works fine except the touchpad. I have already installed shared, utilitarian toggle the touchpad Module and I have the latest BIOS installed and reset all default settings and I made sure that the touchpad is enabled in the BIOS, but also pressing FN + F9 to enable during Windows.

I installed the latest touchpad driver Synpatics I downloaded from the homepage of Synaptics. But for some reason any, that it does not work, I don't know what is the problem here. My touchpad worked before I formatted my laptop, it worked fine and has never had any problems. Will you please tell me what is wrong because I need to use my touchpad sometimes as well, so I can't use a mouse all the time.

    Hello

    > I installed the latest Synaptics touchpad driver that I downloaded from the home page of Synaptics
I think that you question refers simply to the driver for the touchpad that is missing or incorrect.
I put t know how it works on Toshiba notebook Australian, but the Toshiba European Satellite Pro L300 units needs touchpad different drivers. some use the Toshiba touchpad driver and some units need a driver for the Synaptics touchpad.

In your case, I recommend this controlled again.

By the way; My touchpad is always disabled so that en external mouse is connected.
It is parameters that control it. Please check in your touchpad properties too!
