  I have read other threads and tried to launch SQLDeveloper.exe from the CMD prompt, nothing is shown a flash comes and goes.

  Tried to change of SetJavaHome sqldeveloper.conf to the path JDK that it didn't work.

  Maybe there is a problem with SQL Developer, being able to write to the network share of desktop directory.  Add the following to your sqldeveloper.conf file to force the settings of the user to store locally also:

  AddVMOption - Dide.user.dir = some_local_dir_to_own_system4.0.3.16.84

  Problem solved by removing the Previews.lrdata folder.

• Cannot read the videos more about media player for vista. Don't know what happened.

  I get the following message: Windows Media Player cannot play back the video DVD. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings.   I did, but nothing seems to fix the problem.  Any suggestions?

  1 when was the last time it was working fine?

  2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  3. you are unable to play videos on the DVD? What is the file format of the videos?

  4. are you able to read audio files using Windows media player?

  I suggest that reduce you the hardware acceleration on your computer and check if it helps.

  (a) open settings display by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, customization, and then clicking display settings.

  (b) click on Advanced settings, click the Troubleshooting tab, and then click change settings.

  (c) note that some video card drivers do not allow allows you to change the settings.

  (d) move the hardware acceleration slider to zero to reduce or turn off video hardware acceleration.

  If you use Kaspersky and MSE at the same time, leading to conflicts and problems you need to uninstall and remove effectively one and keep the other - but not keep both.  And you can not just a turn off - just being installed is enough to cause problems.  If you are not sure about Beta, then you do not have it.

  If you get a Blue Screen of Death, then the problem must be addressed elsewhere.  Even if many AV programs running, it would not normally cause this level of problem.  It's something else.  In general, it's a hardware problem, but it could also be drivers or system files.  In any case, please repost it here for assistance: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/system?page=1&tab=all&tm=1300700638376

  If you use the Windows XP operating system:
  (a) click Start.
  (b) select my computer.
  (c) double click on the C drive icon.
  (d) double-click the Documents and Settings folder.
  (e), find the folder with the name as your diary in the name of the system.
  (f) open this folder and check if you find the missing file.

  If you are using the Windows Vista/7 operating system:
  (a) click on the Windows icon.
  (b) select computer.
  (c) double click on the C drive icon.
  (d) double-click the users folder.
  (e), find the folder with the name as your diary in the name of the system.
  (f) open this folder and check if you find the missing file.

  Thanks much for the advice, but I found where some updates have not been filled and after several reboots and updates processing everything on my desk, changed again the way I got it.  In fact, I went to C: users and then myself, then all my documents, pictures, ets. was there, so I later found lastnight it wasn't lost, just moved for some reason any.  I then started to look to check the status of the updates pushed out and there are service packs that has not been installed, so I crossed my fingers and agreed to allow them to install and went to bed.  Now computer seems to be back to my settings.  But thank you very much for answering.  It was the first time that I've already posted a question b/c that I generally find the answers online, but it was getting the best of me.  Probably b/c of the thought of losing all my photos only Childs and thinking of how my wife would react.  Thank God it worked.  Thanks again.

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (button '3-bar' menu or tools-> Modules-> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  A forced reboot can help. Press and hold the Home button and the buttons On / Off for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears again. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
