  • Not dreaded 'a valid Widget' error

    Hi people,

I get the error 'Not a Widget valid' dreaded when I try to import my Flash (CS5 Professional) as a widget in my Captivate 5 project. I did my research on this problem and find a previous post of mouloud copying the AS3\static ActionScript in the first frame of the Flash file regarding:

    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3614964

However, I don't get enough details exactly where past this actionscript in Flash.

Is this really the solution? Even for the latest version of the software, fully updated? If that is the solution, I'll have to do every time I build a Flash widget?

    Very much appreciate your help,

    Roger

You should only use the widgets if you want:

    • manipulate features of Captivate module during execution
    • provide configuration options to the widget user so that they can change how the widget will interact with Captivate runtime
    • provide interactivity
    • create a new type of question slide

If all you want to do is have something to animate, then a simple animation SWF created in Flash and imported into Captivate will do generally well.

For best results, just make sure that you have all the animation unfolding on the main timeline in Flash, not buried down inside a symbol.

    Hi @Winged_Cat,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook and concerns if you have to reformat your laptop after or later. Yes. Once you have upgraded to Windows 10 using the free upgrade offer, you will be able to reinstall, including a clean install on the same device. You will not have a product key for re-updates on the same hardware. If you make a significant change to your hardware, you may need to contact customer support for help with activation. You will also be able to create your own installation media, such as a Flash DRIVE or a DVD and use it to update your device and reinstall once you have upgraded.

Pulled from Microsoft pages click here to see the options of relocation.

I hope this helps you understand the upgrade.

    Thank you.

  • How to exclude the field of persistent object

    Hello

Is it possible to substitute the PersistanceStore method to persist objects?

I have a complex data structure I need to store. One of the internal classes contain no persistent field. When I'm storing the data I don't no need to store this field, but the compiler triggers error.

... Widget: error! : class... Persistable marked widget by interface:... Persistable is not persistent: _field field: class... Field does not implement net.rim.vm.Persistable

Is the way to override the implementation of this class persitant and exclude the problematic areas?

    Thanks for the reply.

I did something similar, I created a class of data for persistence and a class of execution with additional fields.

It's not very practical, these classes are deep into a tree of complex data, but I guess that's how it should work with BlackBerry.

  • How endece server send the update request

    Hi all

I read the short guide to the cluster server, I understand that I can submit the update request to all nodes of follower, and then the follower node will forward the request to update to the node leader for update operation. But if I configure the host from the short to the follower node server, I got the below error message:

    "

2015-07-17 14:50:37, 825 received ERROR 1015825 [SocketReader] error message from the server: attempt to remove tuples within a readonly or trailing index.

    2015-07-17 14:50:37, 832 widget ERROR 1015825 [WatchDog_1015825] [add/replace in bulk record: BULK_ADD_REPLACE_RECORDS1] failed with unknown cause.

    "

My setup on the server of the Integrator:

ENDECA_SERVER_HOST = endeca_test_node2 (it is followers node of the data domain 'test_dd')

    ENDECA_SERVER_PORT = 7003

    ENDECA_SERVER_CONTEXT = server short

    DATA_DOMAIN_NAME = test_dd

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem, or there is a bug on the server for short, which limited demand for update to the head only node, routing does not function to the node of the follower to the node of leader?

Will be very appreciated if you can help!

    IMO

As you said, the intention of the cluster behavior is highway the bulk loading queries.  I think it worked out of the box there about a year.  However, from what I see at our customers, I don't think it works more.

As a general rule, we are now building in the logic to determine the node leader for all of our clients on a cluster before you run updates.

    Thank you

    Jon, thanks for responding...

I "fixed it" last night (02:00)

First of ALL: I tried to reinstall flashbuilder, but without uninstalling the first ... did not work

SECOND: I used Windows XP Add/Remove programs to uninstall flashbuilder, then I reinstalled... worked flashbuilder

I note that my eclipse worked all this time. I know that they are separate software, but nevertheless I thought I would mention it.

In addition, because my flashbuilder is fundamentally out-of-the-box news, UN-installing was acceptable. But for someone who has added plugins, or made some configurations customized to their flashbuilder, UN-installing would NOT be a good idea.

  • Could not start the Flash Builder 4.5

    Thank you

This happens because the Eclipse workspace is corrupted. The best way I found to recover from this is the following:

    1. use the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to make sure that the FlashBuilder.exe is not running as a process. In this case, to end the process.

    2. go to your workspace folder (the default location is in your users folder "Adobe Flash Builder 4.5", although you may have placed is elsewhere).

Mine is c:\Users\grayson\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5

    3. There is a folder named .metadata (on Windows 7, there is a problem where it may appear as a folder without a name, the windows open because truncating the 'extension')

Move it to another location on your hard drive.

    4. launch Flash Builder to ensure that it has solved the problem.

    5. close Flash Builder (this writes the default settings of the workspace in the .metadata folder in your workspace)

Inside of the original copy of the you .metadata folder, COPY the following folders to the same location in the newly created folder .metadata in your workspace file by replacing the files and folders that are there.

    .metadata\.plugins\org. Eclipse.Core.Resources\

    .metadata\.plugins\org. Eclipse.Core.runtime\

(as I mentioned previously, Windows 7 may truncate the names of folders without the last part of the name, so you can see the two records that seem to be named "org.eclipse.core.runtime". Copying will still work)

    6. This will restore the projects, the workspace settings, and keyboard shortcuts. (available to dialog / will be reset to the default value and the external tool Configurations are not copied.) I looked but did not find where those are stored)
