DoS attack: END Scan from Microsoft

a netgear router does not receive not of time signals, but NO, it's always January 1, 2003.

What is new and totally boring is a relentless attack on a Server Microsoft in Singapore.
I reported the abuse and asked for an explanation but received only an automated response.
Not only that I have to pay for every byte they send me, but as you can see it also disrupts
normal operation.
Can I do to stop this?

There are now 19 log files in my Inbox that contains only the lines like this:

  • Help! DOS attack scans! I'm worried!

    Hi all

So, I noticed some unusual ping spikes by placing the League of legends. I have also acquired a few devices not recognized such as 'Aplewatch of James' on my router of nothingness. That the name is incorrect, apple has two "P" s and also the Apple Watch doesn't have a wifi, bt just chip.

I also had a "macbook air Johanson" but my MBA is not yet turned on, he was completely off.

I changed the password and only authorized my mac address and everything was fine.

I now have the following on my netgear router logs (there are more than 300 lines, ill just stick a little.)

I write on the apple forums it is because 1, I hope the apple community and is, 2. I know that they will be useful 3. I have a time capsule and 2 expresses and wonder if that will be the effect on them, and 4 that I also watched one of the intellectual property on the internet and found that it belonged to apple!
Why apple scans my router back attack he analyses?

Please, please someone help. I am very worried.

  • Phone call from Microsoft system claiming suffered a virus attack.

    original title: friend or foe?

I just put the phone of a female with an Indian accent who says she is from Microsoft and called to tell me there are viruses in the back of my system that should remove because they cause problems with Microsoft Server? Or something along that line.  She was very convincing. Asked me to go to the event viewer, and there is a long list of errors and warnings. She said she'd help me eliminate those events brewed. I had concerning Web Site page asking me to download a software to "share the computer" when I realized that if I download this and they are not what they say there are, they could access my computer.  Big voice in my head told me not to download and I said female operator that I was not willing to do this because I don't know if she is who she says she is and contacted Microsoft myself. She said (do crosser per minute) she's trying to help me and if I do not eliminate the problem that it would remove Microsoft from my system immediately and which will remove all the icons and I would not be able to access Microsoft on my computer ever again. After repeating again once I will contact Microsoft myself so I know that I am speaking to a real fair operator repeated herself and his threats. I just hung up. I felt quite upset and confused. I'm not computer savi but know that there is no disadvantages. I hope that I stopped just in time before they could access anything whatsoever. Didn't upload the software, that they asked me. I'll be ok?  Would really appreciate a response. Thank you

Scam. You did well by hanging up and as long as you do not download anything whatsoever, everything should be good.

  • HP c7280 not scan from Windows fax and analysis

Why my scanner not scan from this windows fax and scan of program?  I have win 7-64 bit os, hp printer connected by usb. Everything works, but scan. I had downloaded originally Hp update for win 7 but I have a new hard drive and I really didn't want to upgrade their software at random here. I did 5 scans but it is only one per day. Then I get the message that he was able to complete the scan, I got the message that another program may be using the scanner,
Is this a driver problem, it does not seems to me. It sounds more like a problem of windows 7 that the analysis files get mixed or not accessible, or they cannot be found.
for the hp imaging device you need only 4 files:
    c:\Windows\System 32\drivers\ksthunk.sys
    c:\Windows\System 32\drivers\usbscan.sys
    c:\Windows\System 32\drivers\hpotiop1.dll
    c:\Windows\System 32\drivers\hpowiav1.dll
I know there is a current specific problem and it is not with all these printers that have filled the forums. Is there anyway someone who knows the files could see what is happening?
If you try to scan is supposed to appear in the process and services? The analysis of the test says it's although the printer is enabled. I had downloaded installed and software uninstalledHp from their site at least 12 times. But I note on installation sometimes that the hp installation page is different as if all the options are not listed as the file reading, or install the imaging device. Sometimes it would be just a Setup button. The software essentials and solutions had avaiilble different buttons each time. I'm in my intelligence
end, try to understand this. If someone would like to just say that this will not work on win 7 so I quit.

  • I can't install the SP3 from Microsoft Update Center

I can't install the SP3 from Microsoft Update Center. So I contacted Microsoft Support and ran diagnostic scan tool and sent the results. They send e-mail attachment reset_subinacle. It's done. FAILED. I tried 3 times and 2 days later... still cannot copy beethov9.wma. file. So now what should I do to get this SP3 on my son's computer? My son has enough disk space for SP3 and I made sure and prepared for this installation. Does anyone know what I need to do? Help!

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Yes, I'm familiar with your recent discussions on this particular computer as well as the fact that he gave to your son as a used computer. Be so familiar with the history of this computer, I feel confident in saying he was already infected when he gave your son.

I fear that the only way to get this computer secure and fully patched to Windows Update will be formatting the hard drive - and then do a clean install of Windows.

Since you don't have the disks that originally came with the computer (and assuming that the original owner would have given them to you when gave you the computer if there were), we must assume (or at least to cross our fingers and hope) that there is a hidden restore partition that could be used to return the computer to the condition it was before first it left the factory. I can assure you that can support Dell & will help you, if not directly through the Dell Community forum:http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514.aspx

    Follow the instructions below:

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

HOW to do a clean install of Windows XP: see method 1 and http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html#steps in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978307

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care ofeverything on the next page before otherwise connect the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

Tip: After getting the computer fully patched, download/install KB971029 manually:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971029

NB: No matter what Norton or McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free AND download/run the removal tool appropriate prior to installing the updates, Windows Service Packs or IE upgrades AND BEFORE installing your new anti-virus application (which will require WinXP SP3 must be installed).

If you need extra help (in addition to that provided in the Dell forum), please start a new thread in this forum MS:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xprepair/threads

If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and stand-alone computer (that is, not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) repair facility. Expect to pay about $150 USD (or more) for this service.

[Yes, times are tight for all of us right now. [You might find a computer local club or a technical school that could do this work for you free of charge.]

Wish I had better news for you, Jeannine. Good luck!
