  I'm not sure what you're doing.

  Can't replace you item-1 with a drop down. If you can then add a calculation to point-2 which should read the value of point-1 and do all the things the calculation on the value of the element-1 and the final value will be defined in article 2. Do change event menu item in the layout of the page. so every time when the user selects a value calculation will be invoked and result will be defined in article 2.

  An item in a data block doesn't have to be displayed/visible in your form to stored / maintain a value of the formula. Create a test form that displays the field calculation initially so that you know that it's working properly. Set the property of the "Web" with a NULL value for the element, and then add a button that displays the value of the calculated item not shown in a Message(). When you click the button, you will see the displayed value! ;-)

  Sharing memory Inter Process Communication (SHMIPC) is only possible when the client and TimesTen server are running on the same server. When the client and server are running on different machines that only TCP/IP is possible.

• How to create a simple calculated measure?

  I'm having problems creating a very simple calculated measure within the OBIEE administrator. Let's say I have a dimension 'product' with the 'product price' attribute and a measure "number of sales. I'm trying to define in the layer of "Business Model" of the measure calculated 'total sales. To do this I have defined as as a logical column with the phrase 'product price' * 'number of sales.
  
  But OBIEE isn't calculating what I expect, this makes a Cartesian product of the products and the grand total of the sales, which makes no sense. To relieve that I tried to define the measure as partners at the product level, then I correct the calculations but sales per product are not added together in a total.
  
  In any case it seems to be a very simple thing to do, but I was not able to find any documentation about it; 'Help' internal documentation is extremely limited. Is there another source of documentation that I don't know?

  I just bought a new Macbook Pro 25 GHz to replace my old Powerbook G4 1.67 GHz (PowerPC) under OS X 10.4.11. The new Macbook has OS X El Capitan charge and I need to transfer all my files, photos, emails, etc. from my old laptop. The sales guy said I should be able to use the Migration Wizard of Pro Macbook via Wifi on the initial start-up to transfer any.

  I'm just a little doubtful if possible, as Apple suggest that OS X 10.6.8 is required. I don't want to try this and end up damaging the new Macbook Pro. I know that I can use an external hard drive and drag-and - drop files, photos etc but how can I transfer e-mail and other settings, I'm not sure.

  If the two computers can connect via cable or wireless to your home network, you can enable file sharing on the PB to access the files. I don't know if it works because your PB is kind of old. You may need to install Leopard for it to work.

  Rather it is why not take the HARD drive on the PB, but in an external box with USB; ports. Connect on the new computer and use the Migration Wizard to import your data. If you happen to have a backup Time Machine of the PB, then you can also migrate from the backup drive.

  The Regional service console will show you only the calculation scripts, not the rules for calculation of the Manager. This is a technical limitation.

  Prior to version 11.1.2.3, we also had business rules. These were available in the Regional service console. Then, you had a section in the view of the company next to Administration, servers Essbase called Business Rules. I usually call them Hyperion Business rules (HBR) because users easily get confused with all the scripts and rules.
