Downgraded Windows 7 license key

3 years ago, I got a PC from mesh (which are now passed in the administration.)  About six months ago, I upgraded to Windows 8, then 8.1 (which gave me a new product key.)  It would be good to use this license key on another copy of Windows 7, now that I do not use it?

According to Windows of license agreement:

14 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. On upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software upgrade of

  • can I upgrade windows 10 without having windows 7 license key

    Hello guys,.

I use the ultimate windows version 7.  Unfortunately I don't have a license key to activate windows 7. I have no money to buy a windows license key.

So how and then I put window 7 to window 10.

but I want to put windows 10 years of experience.

    Please suggest me.

Next, you need to without upgrading to Windows 10. As mentioned, the free update requires an authentic copy / activation of Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 installed.

  • Is a Windows 7 license key valid for both 32-bit and 64-bit?

I received today an NFR of Windows 7 Ultimate copy at the launch of Microsoft.  He has a valid (I hope!) but license key the DVD is 32-bit.  The same license key is valid for the 64-bit installations as well?  In other words, if I get a copy of the DVD 64 bit, can I use the license key, I just got?

It is a new installation on a system that currently has Vista 32 bit.

    Thank you

Now that I know that Win 7 64 bit works very well with my hardware.  Can I legally get my Windows Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit?  And keep two versions of Windows 7 on the same machine.

If you have a license of Windows 7, you can have a Windows 7 installation.

To install Windows 7 32 bit, you will need to first format/remove 64-bit install.

You will need to purchase a license/second key to install Windows 7 twice at the same time. There is no discount on a second license if you already have a license.

    Hello.
My HARD drive seems to be corrupted and needs to be reformatted. My backup CD does not work. My license key of Windows 7 at the back of my PC is partly erased. Is it possible that I can reinstall using a Win 7 ISO file, or otherwise?
    Thank you and best regards,

    and must be reformatted.

If the disc is damaged, reformatting it won't help. A damaged disc
    must be replaced.

My backup CD does not work.

Please tell us what means 'do not work '. Exactly how you try

  • Windows 7 license key is replaced regularly?

I have just started getting the dreaded "this copy of windows is not genuine."

    It's on a Lenovo H430 bought from newegg 16 January 2013. Running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

So I start-> computer-> right click on-> properties, re-enter the product key on the sticker on the business license. Windows is happy again, updated a bunch of stuff.

1 day later, this same caution is back. Enter the key again today, Windows is happy again. Rinse, repeat, same result

Here's the weird thing: if I run the diagnosis (added below output) it shows

    Windows product key: *-* - JKHXW - D9W83-FJQKD

But the key that is located on the sticker (which I'm now re-entered several times) looks like this: * _ * _ QHHVG-QJ3H3-9WGDX same not close those who watch after a failure diagnostics. What is going on? Something is regularly crush the key with a fake?

Recently there have been a few keys purchased from auction sites appear here as not authentic, they appear to be related to this HROnline HrOnline code: 0xC004C4A2. If you have purchased a key on EBAY please understand that the seller would have sold this key to several people, causing the key more on the blacklist. These keys were never intended for resale, they were intended for the software development or assessment depending on the program that they were obtained through. If you have purchased one of these keys and it became not genuine with the above code, you must purchase a new license for windows 7. Try to validate by going to www.microsoft.com/geniune and follow the links provided to repair windows.

Added note. You have only a limited amount of time (45 days I think) filing a claim with the auction sites. Stay away from these keys, if you purchased a key that has turned non-genuine and are within 45 days of purchase file a claim. There are publishers of legitimate software on auction sites, but if it sounds too good to be true then don't buy it.

It seems that you run a license for a particular channel. Yes, you might have a holographic disc perfectly to research, but this does not mean that the license is legitimate since its easy these days to make records of the hologram. The people who work at the factory can secretly create discs of hologram they resell on the black market or buy press machines to do the job.

  • How to get my license key of windows 8

    Hello

My name is Ibrahim, I bought a laptop from lenovo w540 before 1 month, but it came with windows 7 preinstalled, I have to install windows 8, so my question is how can I get the license key of windows 8 and is there a customization of windows 8 for lenovo? If Yes please I can install a copy.

    Thank you very much

    Hello.

First of all, you don't need to check the compatibility, the W540 comes with Windows 8 by default, with the addition of the compatibility for Windows 7 downgrade.

Then, check your computer for Windows 8 sticker on the bottom. If there are, then you have Windows 8 license key integrated into your BIOS and the only thing you need to do get Windows 8 Lenovo recovery media or get an original Windows 8 ISO/DVD to install Windows with. The installation will automatically detect your product key.

You can check and write down your key by running this program here:

  • Reuse of Windows 7 license after free update of Windows 10?

    Hi all!

I was wondering if I'll be free to reuse my Windows 7 license key after the free upgrade to Windows 10 on July 29.

I've already reserved my copy, and yes I'm very happy. The only problem I see is because it is a version of Windows 7 OEM for Sony VAIO, so maybe it will not work if I use it in a new computer? If I can in any?

I hope that you guys understand my question and good day!

    Hello

Your Windows 7 OEM license has become an integral part of the upgrade to Windows 10 process.

If you cannot reinstall Windows 7 as a dual boot either in your Sony or move it to another computer.

OEM licenses that you cannot transfer anyway.

OEM licenses are tied to the first machine, on which they are installed and die when the machine that dies.

  • Downgrade the license key to install Windows XP Pro image

    Hello

I bought 4 desktops additional whitebox from my provider. He said they can't get licenses of Windows 7 and I have them for us. We have a Windows SBS domain with about 60 workstations XP Pro. The new jobs all have the same Mo as some previous purchases and we 'pictures' for these machines on our network. I often have to change on a workstation with the other due to software or other issues, so for now, I don't want Windows 7 on a machine that I have to train someone on if I have to spend on their machine.

How I can or I can 'image' machines with XP Pro and use Windows 7 key to activate the operating system?

I don't want to go through the process of installing Windows 7 on all these machines and I then have to do the downgrade to XP on each. And if I have to 'image' of this box of I need now another "image" of Windows 7?

And finally, if I'm having to go through these hoops, do I need a XP Pro license key for the downgrade after inserting the XP Pro CD on the Windows 7 machine?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

There is no exchange available for you product key

There is NO right to downgrade to Vista Home Premium or Basic

you will need to BUY XP from somewhere: computer store, eBay, etc.

    and read this:

Installation of XP instead of Vista:

Come on first, site of the manufacturer of your computer, check to see if your model computer has XP drivers available for it...

If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.

If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.

Then buy a disc XP and license.

Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.

Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.

Once installed, reload ALL your other programs of original media, or download again.

Reload all drivers and utilities for your motherboard.

  • Can downgrade you Windows 7 to Windows XP using the Windows 7 license?

I did a search on this topic, and it doesn't seem to be an answer to this.

We are a business in the OEM version of sale of the Windows 7 Professional there is a customer who wishes to downgrade to Windows XP Professional

It is said that the OEM Windows 7 Professional version has the option to downgrade to Windows XP.

I also found an article that Microsoft extended this downgrade to 2020

    http://www.Computerworld.com/s/article/9179109/Microsoft_extends_Windows_XP_downgrade_rights_until_2020

At the moment I have installed Windows XP from scratch and I want to activate Windows XP by using the Windows 7 Professional license.

    Is this possible?

7 eligible for Downgrade Windows OEM versions

It is listed on the Microsoft Web site - http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/downgrade_rights.aspx

Only certain versions of OEM Windows 7 include the right to downgrade:

    * Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate includes the right to downgrade to Windows Vista business and Windows Vista Edition full.
    * Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate includes the right to downgrade to Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or Windows XP x 64 Edition.
    * Other OEM of Windows 7 versions (for example, Windows 7 Home Basic Edition and Windows 7 Home Premium) do not include downgrade rights.

If you are a system integrator, you will need to provide the separate license of Windows XP. You can't actually use the Windows 7 product key to activate Windows XP.

  • Lost Windows license key

I have an old Compaq 610 Notebook PCand the hard drive failed, unfortunately.  Can I replace the hard drive, but the Windows licesnse key sticker is so worn that I can read is no longer the characters.  How can I retrieve my license key?

Sorry, but there is no way to retrieve the PID key that was printed on the COA Microsoft sticker. Further, the key that would have been recovered since the failed hard drive now is not the same as that on the sticker. You will need to use the recovery/restoration of HP/Compaq media to install the factory OS on the new hard drive. If you do not have this media, you can be able to demand for HP business support.

  • I lost the key of Windows 7 license

As stated in the subject, unfortunately I lost the license key for my Windows 7: Home Premium
because of the damage to the sticker (after 3-4 years it disappeared completely)

and by chance he comes to happen I need to reinstall the system (recovery did not work)

So my question is how to communicate effectively with Toshiba on the license key recovery?
I ask because the Polish Toshiba site has completely closed the possibility of contact.

I do not have the reinstallation disk (that I've seen in some subjects) only the license key

Short, but detailed response that you can read here.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.
