Download directory in my vehicle

I was unable to download all of my home directory in SYNC of my car

Why not? What happens when you try? Most systems have restrictions as to how many contacts they will download. How many contacts do you have? How many contacts do you have on your phone and how much will download? Have you checked the documentation for the system of your vehicle see if there are restrictions?

  • I would change my download directory, but the option is grayed out. Can I fix this?

I have no trouble to change the download directory in other browsers on my computer, e.g. Safari. I've attached a screenshot of my Firefox preferences's general tab. I just noticed in the "Troubleshooting Information" attached to this question page that includes "lockedPreferences" "browser.download.useDownloadDir": false...» Rather than emphasize that it is the problem (if it does), please help me to understand why it is like that and how to change.

Check if there is a present mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox application to initialize some prefs.

It is also the presence of a .js (JScript) file, probably in the folder "by default/pref', which specifies to process this mozilla.cfg file.

If there is .js files apart from the file prefs.js - channel, which affects app.update.channel, in the default/pref folder, then open this file in an editor such as Notepad (Mac: TextEdit) and please publish his content.
Also, please post the contents of the mozilla.cfg file.

It should not be a mozilla.fcg file that is located in the main Firefox folder unless you have created yourself to initialize some prefs.

If you have this mozilla.cfg file so the best is to do a clean reinstall, and move the Firefox application folder to the trash before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

You can find the full version of the current version of Firefox (40.0.3) in all languages and all systems operating here:

How can I change the download directory that I did everything: config but don't know what to type in. or add new setting. someone at - it an accurate method.

Yes, you got it! (This is the third thread where I write this, it is not saved as a standard response still AFAIK.)

    (1) open a new tab to Subject: config (type about: config the Awesomebar and hit the arrow go or tap Enter)

    (2) in the search box, type down and press enter

3 scroll to browser.download.folderList and tap on modify, then change the value from 1 to 2 (from the value always default to the last used folder). The change should appear after a few seconds.

    (3) scroll to the top and press the button "add a new parameter.

    (A) string is the correct type, so OK that

    (B) the name of the preference should be browser.download.dir (this option stores the last used directory)

    (C) the value is based on the folder you want. For example:

    /sdcard/FxDown

If you go back to your other tab and download something, it should go to the new folder.

    A little luck?

  • Firefox forgets that the last used download directory that I put.

I noticed after updating Firefox don't remember my last save the download directory (d). It seems to restore the default location (downloads). I noticed that checking the box "Download & browser history" under settings in the section 'Clear history of Firefox closing' also removes the entry "browser.download.lastDir" under subject: config.

This is the kind of a question, but it's extremely annoying having to constantly put this each time I close and open a new browser. Is there a way to ensure the entry remains same after erasing my history?

  • How can I disable each site remembering the download directory?

This is similar to a post I did a few days ago. Reposting because I don't have all the answers to this post, most likely due to my having accidentally marked one of the responses as 'useful' before checking to make sure that if he solved the problem.

I was told that Firefox 11 would have a pref for deactivation by remembering the download directory site. I now have 11 of Firefox, but unfortunately, turn off this "feature" that many users hate and considered a bug is not as easy checking or unchecking a checkbox in the Options of Firefox as it should be.

COR - el said "the browser.download.lastdir.savePerSite pref does not exist by default (it's hidden).»
Create a new Boolean pref with the name browser.download.lastdir.savePerSite and set it to false. "

I did and it has no effect. each site remembering the download directory was not disabled. I tried my recent history without tab open with the exception of a new empty tab of compensation. In the drop-down menu, I selected all and in the boxes, I chose the browsing & download history, form & search, Cookies and Cache. That had no effect.

Is there anything else I can try?

Also, is it possible that the developers of FireFox will add disabling by site remembering directories to download option in the Options instead whether a hidden feature? Given the number of users do not like to remember, I think that's what they're doing by site.

I encourage anyone who reads this please go to
    https://input.Mozilla.com/en-us/feedback
and submit a suggestion to disable remembering directories to download option in the Options rather than be a feature hidden by site

I was told to try the announcement to the bug report area. Who found a solution. I was told

I'm 99% sure that the problem is that you have created the preference

     browser.download.lastdir.savePerSite,

    as opposed to

     browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite

(in tiny "d" instead of the capital "D" in lastDir)

So I recreated the preference to capital D and that disable each site remembering the download directory

  • OfficeJet 6100 ePrinter: hplip just installed 3600 entries in my download directory?

I installed hplip 3.15.7 update to see if it solved some weird problems. Most of the time, the result is positive. However when I look at my downloads directory usually to clean it now has 18 directories and files 3570 +. Are these for real or just some scratch results which can be deleted? The installation process has been by HP management.

    The system is Xubuntu 15.04, 64-bit, kernel 3.19.0 - 25, an upgrade of 14.04.

A secondary issue is that the "Print to PDF file" printer has been deleted. This seems to be recovered but why HP was interested in her?

I deleted the added files (except for one) and downloads files and a repetition of hp-check - t reports that he has everything he needs.  Test page looks good. So I guess I got.  I added the generic-CUPS-PDF-printer (which for free has been deleted), and it looks OK on a test page.

The folder contained about 70 files and required ABLE to remove. Test page always looks OK.

Sunshyn2005 - to your point - Linux provides a temporary folder that is 1) well known and clearly identified and by default 2) is empty at each regular restart.

  • HP slate 12 pro: files transferred via a usb port do not appear in the download directory

I am running windows 8 on an old hp laptop and recently purchased a hp pro slate pro for my partitions.  I plugged my PC using the usb cable.  I created a directory in the download on the slate directory and copied my music files into this directory.   I used to connect to the computer of the PSG.  When you look at the files on the PC, they seem to be in the directory to download on the Tablet, but the download on the Tablet Directory displays no files.  Where are they?  I need help.

Thanks for your help.  I had downloaded an application called Manager of files, and it's great.  I see all my files.  It can also connect to my pc using the Internet and it is very useful.

  • Package VIPM download directory?

    Hello

I have a machine that is abroad and on a slow network connection. I try to install libraries OpenG (here: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/nid/209027) via the road recommended vipm and for reasons I can only attribute to a slow network connection or tinkering of the it Department, VIPM is unable to connect to the internet. (I am connected through Dameware, so it can't be that bad!)

    Anyway, my question:

My idea was to transfer my cell phone packages well behaved (in the United Kingdom), via the internal network of the company (which works fine), badly behaved machine (in Italy), then install via the opening of Packages in VIPM option.

    I found this thread: http://lavag.org/topic/16470-is-there-a-guide-to-installing-openg-without-using-vi-package-manager/

I don't see no JKI files in the locations pointed out!

Then I found this thread: http://support.jki.net/entries/20625761-How-do-I-transfer-packages-with-VIPM-to-a-non-networked-comp...

I don't have the free version of VIPM, that came with LV2013.

When you use the option 'Download replacing' here: http://www.ni.com/gate/gb/GB_EVALTLKTOPENG/US I get only a "OpenG Toolkit" file and not all dependent packages.

OpenG.org is down. I don't know what to do with all the things on the Sourceforge page. (http://sourceforge.net/projects/opengtoolkit/files/)

    Help!

    Found!

    I was looking in C:\Users

    they turned upward:

    C:\ProgramData\JKI\VIPM\databases

  • umask hurt, when you download something firefox sets own umask instead of umask of the directory. It was so not before today (I think)

When saving to a file (to download) in the download directory witch a x username and group y studded stickybits on firefox (ubuntu 13.04) saves the file with the user and groupname x and permisions on 0600. Hello skaynl, please upgrade to firefox 25 which was released today and should contain a fix for this problem. Thank you!

  • Firefox does not account for my custom download location

Instead he always will automatically save a file in C:\Users\Username\Downloads\

This can occur if you specify the location of the root as X: / and not a specific folder.

In this case, the solution is to create a folder under specify to use this folder under.

  • How to open Zip downloaded from firefox in the android platform

as above. I downloaded a file on the net via a link and its an ebook in ZIP format. The android version of Firefox refuses to allow me to do anything with it

    Hello

To open ZIP files, you must download an application for the opening of the zipper. In one, you can use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.winzip.android

Then, when you install that, open it and go to your download directory. It must either be in sdcard0 and sdcard sdcard1, then proceed to download.

Once you find, tap and hold the file, and then click unpack here and it will extract the files in the ZIP folder.

I would like to know if it works!

  • How to choose where to downloads?

I've recently updated to Firefox 24.0. I use Windows 7

It has been any time that I clicked on a link to download anything, I have would be able to choose where I wanted to save everything I was downloading. The item would also be registered in the directory or the file to download.

But now, when I click on a link to download whatever it is, it comes automatically saves in the download directory without giving me a chance to save them somewhere else. So if I want the file somewhere else, I have to open the download directory and move it where, to where I want to.

How do I set up Firefox so it's like it was before, so that it gives me a choice where I want to backup a download before it starts to download? Thank you.

Under Tools-> Options, on the general tab, there is a section for downloads. Simply, set it to "always ask me where to save files.
