How do download you an Excel to DW? I am trying to download the entire workbook instead of one sheet at a time. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Martin,

    the feature is undocumented and not officially supported for 1.1, but known to work for Excel files in the 2003 format. XLSX (from 2007) is not implemented.
    Maybe through the discussion and examples in {: identifier of the thread = 2342792} helps you solve your problem.

    When I navigate to the location of the Web page file, it allows me to open the document and put the path to the file. Then when I click on download or save, the field is empty?

    Are getting you any error message trying to download files online?

    Try the troubleshooting steps below:

    1. disable the blocker pop up on the browser you use.

    • Click three points located on the right side of the toolbar of peak.
    • Scroll and select only show advanced settings.
    • Click on the toggle to disable the blocker pop-ups block .

    The above post describes pretty much exactly what I want to do, but I'm missing something-

    Here's what I would do: I have some customer information I want to merge to an email; the information is not something I necessarily want to hold with my contacts.

    We use Excel to download the lists, because these contacts are not currently in our database. I created a new fusion of field and inserted the fusion in my email. The creation of the merger of field requires linking the merger with Contacts, accounts, events/event Sessions or CDO. My initial assumption was that I would need to create a CDO, I did. So I created from the merger of field, connected to my CDO and inserted the field in the email.

    When I then test the email, I download my segment of the tests. I can't match the data fields to match the fields, additional Excel in fields in Eloqua - I thought that maybe the CDO fields appear as options for matching.

    So, my question is, how do I get data to Excel at the height of my merge field in Eloqua?

    Here is the result:

    You cannot perform a merge via download Excel (IE - trying to create a new segment via upload that contains the data to merge) - I was on the right track, that this should be done through CDO.

    1. create your CDO, upload your Excel file and map on the data card contacts

    -Create a new CDO, adding additional fields that you want to capture

    -Specify 'E-mail address' in the full name, the Unique ID and the email address fields. I also set the Group By field to the E-mail address and the type of entity as Contacts with new Email Address field.

    -When you transfer your Excel file with records to merge, be sure to map downloaded from the data card contacts (custom object > download custom object records). In the wizard in step 4 - resulting Actions to download, make sure that the card data card check box is selected. Real do not know why you ever not wanted - it seems to me that you can't do much without it.

    2. create your field field Email merges mergers

    -map to your CDO fields

    3. Insert the field merges in your email

    That of about it - if anyone has any additional info or corrections on the above, let me know. Hope this helps-

    I must also add that the download will be only good for the user, if they have excellent. Try to export your Excel form into a PDF and link to that instead. Then you will allow everyone to use, but also to see in a browser.

    This is because the PDF file is not be open in Acrobat or Reader, but by the browser which is unable to handle the specific PDF content.

    I have defined a membership rule in a WORD doc and try to use the same relationship (used in the membership rule) to define the scope of an entity in the EXCEL doc.

    But it throws an error that "function not supported. This function cannot be used in rules modeled with EXCEL.

    Please help me with an alternative solution.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

    Essentially scope functions (everything that has an alias as a potential parameter) do not have a metaphor for representation available in Excel matching rule and are therefore not supported. However the other functions of the entity are supported (exists, forall, instancecount etc.).

    But yes: some things cannot be done in Word.

  • during the conversion of several Word and Excel docs in a combined PDF file random pages have blue background in the final PDF file.

    I have a user using Acrobat 10. It has been installed two weeks ago and had no problems at the start. Today, she said that when she tried to convert several word and excel docs by selecting and right-click on it to select convert/combine PDF format, pages randomly in the finished PDF file have a blue background.     So something I didn't consider was that it could be a setting in office documents. The reason why I do not consider this was cause we tested several docs and had similar results each time. I returned and examined this possibility and found a setting in word that was causing this problem. Although the word doc showed no color page when opened in word, if I went to the "Page Layout"-> 'Color of Page', a shade of blue was chosen. By selecting "no color", then convert / combining documentation in PDF format, we have achieved the desired result. Thanks again for your response!

    The zeros are important and I would like to than this format as it is in the OBI in all types of download (Excel, Word etc.).

    When I export to PDF (cross from Oracle BI publisher) zeros are correct.

    If I understand your requirement.,.

    If you have numbers like varchar column,

    When you download this report to Excel, all zeros are removed.

    This is a known bug in OBIEE,

    With reference to Doc ID.1056243.1,.

    OBIEE generates a native excel object.

    Export to Excel generates a MHTML file, after having opened in excel OBIEE have no control over the way in which excel will format.

    You can also have the following workaround solution.

    In the formula for the column,.

    '<--span style="display:non">"<-- pan=""> ' | original_col_formula

    Mark this column data type to HTML.

    Now look for the release of the report when data is downloaded.

    It is a just solution. But, you always will get the data in Excel as ' 000123

    It is not available as a stand-alone product outside Microsoft Office Excel for Mac. You can buy a stand-alone copy of MS Office, or subscribe to Office 365. There is also a free limited version of Excel available as a web application.

  • Impossible to merge Word &amp; Excel Docs in PDF (10/Microsoft Windows 2016)

    My company has recently upgraded to Windows 10 and Microsoft 2016.  Since then, I am unable to merge Word or Excel documents in PDF (Adobe 9 Pro).  I am able to download and the first starts cartonnage & reading but once the green line is right, it stops and it's there.

    I tried to update Adobe, made sure the Word & Excel are registered under "Documents Word 97-2003" and tried to look for others who may have the same problem, but their systems are older than mine.  The only way I am able to merge everything is creation of all Word & Excel documents to PDF... then it works fine.  But there are times where I have hundreds (maybe not that much, but a large number) merger documents and I can not waste time to their creation all in PDF.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm at my wits end.

    Your models are not added. The abbreviation for months is "MM" not "mm". If excel uses a specific model, why don't you use the same to analyze the data?

    Then write the date in a table and display it on a page are different actions. You must specify to the timestamp for the model in the table.
