Try this:
After downloading the file, navigate to the location of the file, right click on the file-> click Properties. On the general tab, click on unlock. Then click on apply, then Ok.
Now try running the installation program.

I am running out of ideas and can not find stuff more troubleshooting.
* Note: I had to remove LR because CC has broken several months (during the previous update) and I could not update my application of LR. As a result, the old version of LR could not read the LR library of my Macbook Air (a newer version).
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi - I am Windows 7 64 bit with Firefox 19.0.2. I'm trying to download Flash, but all I get to the download page is the following:
PLEASE NOTE THAT DEPENDING ON YOUR SETTINGS, YOU MAY NEED TO TEMPORARILY DISABLE YOUR ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE.
I use Norton and that you have manually disabled the antivirus and firewall. I went in Firefox and disabled Ad-Block. I went further in the Norton settings to disable one of their web browser protection. I have temporarily disabled all I can find. I checked to make sure that the Java Script is enabled. I went through all the suggestions that suggest your FAQ and then some. I updated the download page for many times. I closed the site, then google it again with the same message above.
Any suggestons?

A number of us use a private site where run us an application in offline mode. The application offers a download button so that we can take a snapshot of our progress in offline mode, a sort of backup. When we'll be back online you can either download the information from the application or we can load the backup files.
The problem is that every time we hit the download button, we always get the additional dialog box asking if we want to save or cancel the download of the file. It may sound a little silly, but we really do not want to have to move the mouse to the new dialog box and click on the "Save" button.
The mime type of the file is application/octet-stream, there is no file extension.
Is there a way to change the configuration of Firefox so that this dialog box does not appear?
Thank you.
My apologies, but I deleted all system information collected automatically because I am not in a position to submit this application for machines where the problem occurs.
These system are:
14:04.3 Ubuntu LTS
Firefox 40.0.3Content of type "application/octet-stream" will cause always Firefox show the 'open with' Download dialogue.
To avoid this download, you must configure the server to send another type of content and possibly change the file extension. -
I got the message to update my browser, I went on the site and download the latest version of Firefox. I update my plug-ins as well. However, I always get the message that my browser is obsolete. I uninstalled it, reinstalled, without success. Please help me. When I go to help and select about Firefox, I have that I use the latest version: 6.0.2.
Check general.useragent preferences on the topic: config page.
You can open the topic: config page through the address bar just like you open a Web site.Filter: general.useragent
If all general.useragent prefs are "BOLD" (user set) then right-click this pref and select reset.
It would be probably due the FBSMTWB on the end of your useragent that you had added the Fast Browser Search toolbar extension.

I get an error "this application can run on your pc" message when I try to download flash player for my new Surface running Windows RT.
If you have downloaded Flash player from the Adobe Web site, you will have the version that is compatible with the x 86 / x 64(Win 7, Win8 Pro etc) which does not work on your Windows RT Surface. This is because Windows RT running on ARM processors, and programs written for x 86 / x 64 cannot run on RT.
