  Your fieldChanged method runs on the event Thread.  So you're now doing what I suggested first, i.e. you run your download on the events thread.  To do the treatment as downlaods and install it in a separate Thread.  This economicus you some problems with blocking the interface user, but you're covering that already with your progress bar.  So basically, everything you need to do is put this code:
