  You can not download the file without saving dialog file - it is a security restriction.

  I ran a quick test in 2015 CC Dreamweaver. It seems that this occurs if you have specified a default image folder in your site definition:

  

  When you type the URL of an image in the Select Image Source dialog box, Dreamweaver automatically downloads the file and copy it in the folder default images.

  If you do not have a folder of images by default, Dreamweaver will ask you if you want to copy the image to your local site. If you click on no, Dreamweaver copies the file in a folder cache on your computer and links to that.

  This behavior seems to apply only to the Select Image Source dialog box. You can use a URL to set the src of an image attribute in the quick property inspector:

  

  You can also use the field of the CBC in the main property inspector.

  It seems that the best way to insert an image located on a remote server is to insert a placeholder local first image. Then use the quick property inspector or the Chief Inspector to change the src to the URL. Is not ideal, but that market.

  I'm looking to build a tool for non-technical users to easily create a link quick pagelets with icons that point to URLS or content references. One of the questions I'm running into is the upload image PeopleCode orders seem to limit the type of file in JPEG format. JPEG do not have transparent backgrounds which makes it difficult to take the joints and similar icons and impose just great over a background. When I looked at the functions of file attachment I couldn't see a way to generate a URL to web server for the image to include on a page that it just looked like there was only calls to the ftp server.   Use the attachment file (AddAttachment) API to upload files to a database table and then use an iScript to serve them. This blog is an iScript example to read attachments from tables: http://jjmpsj.blogspot.com/2009/01/exporting-attachments-part-2.html.

  Alex,

  There will be no default URL that allows you to view the downloaded images. You will need to do something yourself to make the image visible via a URL; some suggestions would be:

  (1) on the Web/Application Server, create a virtual directory to d:/uploads/logo map
  (2) write your own servlet that can (according to certain parameters you offers in the URL) read the file from the image of the directory and the return flow to the browser

  An inserted picture is an attachment.  The embedded image is sent as an attachment and then it is returned in the message in an HTML message, but it is still an attachment to the message.

  In Outlook Express, you can embed a picture compose a new message in HTML then using Insert | Photo.  Who will integrate the image in the email, but it always comes as an image as an attachment.  It's just the way OE manages which shows as embedded.

  Alternatively, you can just link to an image by referencing a URL to the image on a website and this way no image will actually be embedded or attached.

  In general, they will accept the image in the format, that it was taken (if it was taken by the majority of cameras or cell phones).  But if so, you have a few options.

  The most simple and integrated solution is Microsoft Paint.  Yes it is from the 1980s, but it still works and changes of a good job for a time.  Just to right click on the photo file, choose open with and choose paint.  Then go to file > save as and save this return as the file type you want it to be (like PNG or BMP or JPG, quality declining in the JPG option).

  There is no way to clear the cache for flash. Depends on how Flash uses the cache (to some extent at least) runs in the browser, and you can't control that. The proposed method works, it should be a little easier just add to the chance (or generated time) variable to the loaded image as "myPic.jpg? cache-killer = random.

  There could be 2 common reasons behind it.

  1 way to the CBC provided in the codes are not correct. May be it is the path of your local disk or there is an error with the path.

  2. the file linked images are not available on the remote server. Please be sure to download dependent files also during the FTP transfer.

  If in doubt, please share the URL of the Page in question and I'll look at the codes for you.
