iPod Touch generation 6 & CarPlay

So, I see this has been asked several times, but I do not see a wire with a definitive answer. The latest iPod Touch works with Apple CarPlay?

I know that CarPlay page States that the iPhone, but also it shows actually that it not compatible with other iOS devices. Has anyone actually tried this or got a definitive answer from Apple?

I would like to ask Apple myself, but it seems that I can't ask them unless I have an iPod Touch and I only buy one if it will do what I need...

From the info that I could find, as Apple says, only recent iPhones are supported CarPlay. Apple is very clear for this at the bottom of:

http://www.Apple.com/iOS/carplay/

It is not realistic for Apple list all devices that do not support CarPlay

  • iPod touch generation 5 does nothing when connected to the computer

    Hello

I had problems with my iPod touch Gen 5 running on iOS 9.2 is not connected to my computer. Boredom? I plug it into a wall adapter and it costs. I plug it into the computer and it does nothing. I tried all USB drives (who all work, as my computer is fairly new, I got it late may last year (2015), and I tested it with my mouse wireless.)

I tried to restart my PC and my iPod. My computer is a Toshiba Satellite C50D, which is almost a year old and running on Windows 8 (I'm never upgrade to windows 10 no matter how my computer wants me to.)

In addition, if you could contact me general Grievous, it would be nice. I just want to say that I love him<>

  • iPod touch generation 6

Should what power adapter I use with ipod 6th Gen?

When I tried my old iphone 3g its load adapter, but the battery runs out to soon, pls help me :/

Any wall charger with a USB port will work. This is because USB is always 5 volts. For the charge is a reasonable amount at the time you want an accusation that puts at least 10 watts/1 amp (1000mA).

I use my iPad charger that puts 2.3 amps for all my devices. Senior amps does not damage a device as the device may limit how many amps used ae.

  • My iPod touch 6g battery

Hi, I would like to know why my battery is running so fast when my iPod Touch (generation 6 32 GB) is on the way 'sleep' (not when it is completely round) that I open it and the battery has lost energy even if I put it in "airplane mode"... I don't really know what to do... I have restore several times, but she seems to have the same problem... (I put my backup I have restore before)

I can use it as a day and the battery is almost empty... If I'm lucky, it may be two days just if I don't use it many times and if I don't get a lot of notifications... (However, the battery still drains a bit..)

    Is it normal...?

    Thank you very much!

Mine is the same way. I have to charge it every night.

You can look into things like background app update and background app refresh. they can be little battery drainers without realizing you it.

In addition, it is a small battery that doesn't last all day.

  • My iPod Touch is not fully charge/Turn On

    Hello

Not exactly what the iPod touch generation that was a gift from a friend in 2009.

Yesterday afternoon, I realized that it was completely out of charge, but do not plug in until early this morning.

I plugged the charger around 06:20 this morning and now (12:30), he does not always light on. It is clear to me that it is recognizing the power cord being plugged - it shows me the screen with the Red battery symbol and the symbol with the lightning and then back and forth between it and the logo apple - as he tries to start, but can't you make it quite there. I tried to do a manual restart, and it will pop up with the icon of Apple, usually for a long time - 5-10 minutes and then come back to do what he was doing before. I don't know if I should keep just to load and reload. I tend to spend long periods of load between the two, so I don't know, I ran the battery down a little, but usually it recharges fairly quickly - in an hour or two. And if I unplug the cord while the apple logo is at the moment, it is not closed immediately or whatever this is - it seems like there fee in there now. If I unplug it while the Red battery icon is in place, it will pop up with a screen asking to connect me Heck back in. Maybe I just need more patience?

Thanks for any advice you may have!

Are plug you into a wall outlet or a computer?

Plug it rather directly on the wall for 10-15 minutes and see if it boots. Sometimes the computer is not give it enough juice if the battery is completely dead and it needs more power. This can make the cycle of "reboot, restart, die, die" you see.

Maybe try another cable as well?

    Good luck!

iOS 9.3.2 is officially the last version of the iOS which runs on a 5th generation iPod Touch? I was wondering why there has been updates no more and decided to ask

You should be able to upgrade to iOS 9.3.5.

Have you tried to connect your iPod Touch to your computer the latest version of iTunes (to 12.4.3) and update your iPod Touch like that?

  • New Ipod Touch (6th generation)... Brick!

New Ipod Touch (6th generation).  Right out of the box and as expected, another update Super bricks my new Ipod Touch.  My question is HOW?  And before you ask, YES everything has been updated to the latest version (itunes, Java, QuickTime, IE, Windows and other applications you can think of).  I purposely keep a copy of an older version of Itunes on an old laptop running because this is the only version that will recognize my Ipod when happen (both latest and Itunes).  Given zero has no effect.

When say you that the device is brick what is on the screen today? It does not force a reset? Try If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch does not illuminate, If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod , or If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
