  I created a program that monitors the 200 OPC alarm tags, display all alarm and save them as the alarm logs, if one of them has a change in value (boolean).

  So far, I've managed to get straight with the exception of the event who check their change in value.

  I noticed that the only response of the event structure to the buttons in the front panel, while the OPC values come as a variable part. I tried to use the variable part, local variable and the event does not answer. I tried to use signs and events of generation, but these Dungeon on the event to all the time, creating alarms too duplicated in my alarm log.

  Finally, I create my own VI (event check for each value of the indicator in the attachment) who search for the tag of alarm for the same value as the previous and only raises the event when it is different.

  Although it does what I need, it force me to create a buffer space reserved for all the previous values of the alarms tags, and I've got 200 of them. I wonder if there is a better way to do it?

  Note that the user must uncheck the use buffering option for network variables share or which could cause delays, the old value missused

  Changes made via a local variable are not the user events, so the structure of the event will not detect by definition. You must write to the command by using the property node "Value (follow the signs).

  That said, your small watch of your code starts to raise red flags in my mind with the use of variable and global variable local. While it's not bad, their abuse can lead to the poor programming architecture and race conditions. Perhaps you should consider downloading your VI any kind can someone take a look and offer suggestions on improving it.

  I have a gif of a FPGA based topology I want to show some telesignalisations in.  As the user clicks on the Boolean, vertical lines appear and disappear as they click on it again, showing the current topology of closure.

  To save resources, I opted to use a structure of the event.  So far I put it for internal RX_FAC and RX_TERMXCO4AU you see at the top left of the image.

  A single loop of RX and one TX closure may be on at the time, so one of the first things that happens when the user clicks on the Boolean value is that it defines the values of all other Boolean in the same row of fake, thanks to the use of local variables.

  The problem is - the structure of the event runs only when the user actually clicks the Boolean true or false value, but not if the boolean is false through the use of a local var.  In other words, let's say I RX_TERMXCO4AU true and false RX_FAC.  If I click on RX_FAC to set it's true, then you will notice RX_TERMXCO4AU goes dark/false and RX_FAC lights.  So the value of RX_TERMXCO4AU has changed, but associated with the structure of the event RX_TERMXCO4AU does not run (that's why the vertical line between RX_TERMXCO4AU and TX_FACXCO4AU remains).

  This will make a lot more sense if you run the attached simple VI.  Right now, events exist for RX_FAC and RX_TERMXCO4AU, but it is sufficient to explain the problem I think.

  The structure of the event is for events generated by users.  Writing to a local variable is a programmatic change.

  You want to do is write your value to the Value property (Signalling) of the Boolean that will change the value and raise the value change event.

  Can you confirm the "someLocalEvent" and "table1" are defined in the same application?
  It may be wise to ensure that the event type is defined before the table.

  My problem is that I need show the value of point break and it seems that the alignment code runs after the events of the chart.

  So by using the code below, when I left click on the graph, I get the mouse position value and not the point closest to my plot to the position of the mouse.

  My real solution was to create a timer (50ms) and activate on the event that precedes.
  Then call GetGraphCursor (hPanel, arranging, 1, & dX, dY &) in case EVENT_TIMER_TICK, that occurs after the cursor has been aligned with the nearest point, I get the correct values I was looking for.

  Any suggestion for a more elegant solution?

  So the PLC program changes the State of a Boolean variable simple that in Labview, indicates that there is new data (newdatareceived---> 1,0,1,0,1,0...)
  I need this draw Labview (valuereceived) value in a chart when this variable (newdatarecived) changes.
  My problem is that the table always puts a value according to the cycle time in its loop and resumes the values... (I tried, with dynamic events and signage value... and I got the same result... It works fine).

  No, this code is meaningless. You write new (mostly the same!) points to the graph xy with each iteration (actually at twice the speed at which data can actually happen: 100 ms vs 200ms!), tax system unecessarily and more internal data structures like crazy.

  All you need is a simple loop with a single structure of matter which is true if the Boolean value is different from the previous iteration. Currently, you must add a point (the time for X, the value in Y) to the xy graph. Here is a quick sketch. (You can either use the meter or the elapsed time for X, according to your needs, so change if necessary).

  Events are mainly for the interaction with the user in order to avoid the loop turn unless necessary. Here you are already running a loop to interrogate the instrument and you can easily have the graphic way the same loop. Right?

  You should also be aware that the execution order is determined by the flow of data and not in a horizontal position. If it's important that OCX nodes running first in an iteration, you create a dependency of data (for example with the wire of the error). Horizontal compensation has no effect. The structure of sequence on the left has also does no work, then why is it there?

  When Timo records the images in the database, you save it in the file system (examples on how to do this Java are available much if you just Google for it). Similar to Timo you then use the tag image to display pictures. The difference is that you can directly add the URL of the database table.

• How to dump in the event of a buffer running

  I'm looking for some effective ideas on a dump of the event.  At this moment I have a basic data logger.  It takes data at 100 Hz and ignores all but the last data point for a given period. for example: a sample every two seconds, not two cents.  I await with discontinuity record events without sacrificing the base datalog feature.

  I think I want the channels of interest to be stored in a buffer running at the full 100 Hz.  Maybe a queue with loss or a specified length running table?  Another concern is how add these data after the datalog colums base but not the datalog out of queue on the possible event data? Is there a difference between putting the structure of the event around queue item in the process loop and place it around the dequeue element in the loop of datalog?  I'm relatively new to labview so if I make it work, it will probably not answer 'best practice '.   I'm going to start playing with the code, but the high speed, low drag answers are really appreciated.

  Good news! This works.  I set the logic of works so that it catches small interruptions.  It took some time, but it works.  I tried a local variable to receive the data, but it didn't intercept the fast events.  I had to put it in the Q and split in the loop of logging. Another thing is the case adding the table structure.  the first iteration feeds the first element in the top of the table to append, so the timestamp is preserved. all subsequent iterations shift the new item to the following location, make room for the table attached to slot 1.

  Your system runs a check of the Performance of Microsoft Diagnostics when starting, why start has slowed to a crawl. And it seems to work many times.  I don't know why this is the case - none of what you posted gives a cause for verification.  Are there other errors leading up to these?  If so, could you put them as well?

  Go to start / search and type msconfig and enter.  Double-click the program icon that appears.  Click the Startup tab and check to see if Microsoft Diagnostics is listed as a startup item - it then, uncheck the box. (I did not thiink it is the problem, but it is best to check to be sure.)

  Try a system restore to a point BEFORE this problem started to occur.  Here's how: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If this does not work, try an earlier point or two.

  If this does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc or your recovery disk. Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do the CD drive first in the boot sequence.  It was boot the PC and wait for the screen where it shows the F key to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the change, save your work and exit.  Insert the CD into the drive and restart.  When you are prompted, press a key to start the PC.

  If you don't have a floppy, you can make a recovery disk to http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ using a burning like software: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and of course a blank CD.  This recovery file is just as good as one that comes with Vista, but it can't do a reinstall.  You can do a system restore or startup repair or even use the command prompt.  Boot from the CD may be your only option to keep the PC "awake" long enough to make the procedures - which even works.

  If it does not go to Sart / all Aprograms / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well, it completes without error, it could not repair (if such errors occur, then post back here).

  Then type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to fix bad sectors on your hard drive.

  If that is not working, after return and we work on other solutions to the problem - we have still quite a few options, we can try - but I think that the first option for recovery (System Restore) is likely to work best if you know ehen this started and can find a restore prior to that point.

  It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (update your video/display driver).

  This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

  -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your

  of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and
  more.

  To check system drivers manufacturer as replacements and camera manufacturer who are most
  current. Control Panel - device - Display Adapter Manager - note the brand and
  fill out the template tab of the driver for your card video - double-click - write down the
  the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
  certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver
  stack.

  Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd
  evening with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers you have.

  Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration), and then
  Site of the manufacturer of the device (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions.

  Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT
  After each installation.

  Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you install
  actually arises. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed
  (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot - check is to be sure
  installed and repeat if necessary.

  If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities in
  Windows updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it won't install drivers
  who will be generally older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver can
  HIDE (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if you wish.
