Download of PDF files do not convert

Lately when I try to download several PDF files to combine them, they will not convert.  There is a "conversion failed".  Only the available action is to remove them and try again.  And once again.  And once again.  You get my point.  What reasons would there be for my files download correctly?

Hello! Stephanie!

Let's start with some basic troubleshooting, because it sounds like your uploaded/converted files without problem before.

  • If you use a web browser, sign out, clear the cache and then try again.
  • Try a different web browser (see system requirements |) Acrobat.com for a list of supported web browsers)
  • If you use Reader, choose Help > updates to ensure that you have the latest version. And make sure you have Reader XI, as opposed to Reader X.

If this does not work, you need to look more closely at your PDF documents and how they were created.

Best,

Sara

    Hi philc49089421,

I see that you have the subscription for export to Adobe PDF format. To convert PDFS into power point you must have the subscription for the full Adobe PDF pack, or you must have the Acrobat application.

It will not work with subscription Adobe export in PDF format.

My new Office Jet 8500 (A910-G) seems to correctly perform a scan to PDF, but the PDF file does not open, gives me the error message "the selected document cannot be opened" in PDF Complete.

I agree that it's a software because it works well with Adobe Acrobat.  It's just PDF Complete (which was free with my HP computer) does not work!

Download the free versions of these tools. First check the updates and then run a full scan with each.

    Hello

When you connect to Acrobat.com. go to the section of the file and the files should be there.

And if the files aren't there and then during the time of downloading the connection was intermittent or probably you would have been temporarily logout due to browser problem, what is happening.

  • Download a pdf file, save, won't show the full name of the backup file when name contains a space, stop the name of the file.

Download a pdf file, the file name contains a space in the middle of the file. The name showing on the 'Save' popup is first letters up to space. Works fine on IE8. For example, a file named "old snail_12345.pdf" would show only 'old' (ignore the "s"). This is on Firefox 30.0, WinXP Pro.

Apparently, there is an extension to work around this problem. I have not tried myself. See:

  • PDF files are not in the list of applications preferences, pdf does not load

I use Cougar and have Adobe reader installed 10.1.4. When I click on a site to download a pdf file, I get a white screen and no download (well before mountain lion) I went to the screen preferences/applications and pdf is not listed in the list of the app. How can I seem to me there so that I can assign an action to use the reader to open it.

With earlier versions of Mac OS, some users have reported that they should disable the Acrobat plugin in Firefox and fall back on the Mac's default PDF reader when this happens. To try this, use

Tools > Modules > Plugins category

It works on the Mountain Lion?

Regarding preferences, it is difficult to manually change the settings (mimeTypes.rdf) file, so hopefully it won't be necessary.

Thank you, Rick. (nagpie1 and malatel: this thread is only for Ricky63.) Please leave this thread and start your own son.)

I see that you have Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 level. Ok. :-)
    Go to this page:
Click the custom button. Wait a bit...
If you have in fact all your patches security post-SP3 installed, then you will see this message:
    High priority updates

No priority updates for your computer are available. To select other updates, use the options on the left.

    Can you confirm?
In addition, do NOT choose to install the optional updates that are available! They are rarely necessary, and they often cause problems!
Also, you need to let us know if you have the version the recent Adobe Reader or not. As I mentioned earlier, the current version is 10.1.3. If you run Adobe Reader and select "about...". "in the drop-down Help menu, you can see which version you are using.
    That being said...
There has been a lot of recent reports with people having all kinds of problems with Adobe Reader. My recommendation is to uninstall, and then run the tool to remove here:
Then, install a free PDF reader senior (and less of a problem):
  • Cannot download emails pdf files using Internet Explorer.

    Original title: Internet Explorer

Outlook and Internet Explorer will not allow downloads even starting from the Microsoft Web Site.

Will not download Zip, PDF file of email

Can go to GOOGLE and open Outlook, and then it will download.

Won't allow Bing become the home page.

    Just says cannot download.

Microsoft should want to solve this problem.

    Hi Larry,

    Sorry for the late reply.

To solve the problem with Internet Explorer and outlook.com downloads.

I suggest to disable the Antivirus software on your computer and test the issue.

    When you disable Antivirus:

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

For most Antivirus programs, there is an icon next to the clock in the taskbar, you should be able click on icon and either be able to disable it from there or you can go into the options and disable it.

Note: If the problem persists, you can activate your Antivirus program.

You can also test the issuance by uninstall and then reinstall the Antivirus program.

Note: Uninstall the antivirus before you that you saved the license key for this.

Please follow the suggestion above and let us know the status of the issue.

  • Download the PDF file in mode full screen

How to download a PDF file to view it full screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader 11?

On my Windows 7 computer using IE 11, I can do first passage in full screen on the page with the download link.

    See http://www.davispicturesandpoems.co.UK/pictures/9627909.html

Then I click on the download link. When the PDF downloads in a new window using CTRL + L. The images in the PDF file now display without no title bar - like I need (this can be displayed by moving the slider to the top of the screen).

My problem is that when I tried this on the computer of my daughter who also use IE 11 and Windows 7, the title bar was always available (I don't know which version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, she installed).

Is what I do make sense?

And why two computers behave differently?

    Help appreciated.

    David

    Hi davwilli,

I can see in the screenshot above, you open the PDF in internet explore and not in the Adobe Reader software.

So, I would recommend you right click on the download link on the Web page you have above comment and choose the option "save target under" and then once the pdf file is downloaded and saved on your system, you can open it in Adobe Reader and then use the option full screen.

    Kind regards

    Rahul
