  • Hi, I can't download photos from the camera, error 1201, any idea what is - this?

Hi, I can't download photos from the camera, error 1201, any idea what is - this?

A common problem on a MAC, less frequent on Windows based on my reading of the reports here in this forum

You don't have WRITE permission in the folder where Lightroom is trying to copy the photos to (this file is put in the import dialog box in the Destination panel), so change your permissions.

For future reference, the 201 is not the error code and no use for us here, it's the number of photos that are affected by this error. In the future, just give the complete error message.

Trying to transfer photos from my camera in Windows Photo Gallery.  Pop - up said I couldn't because the class is not registered.  What does that mean?

    Hi John,.

-When exactly you receive this error message?

This problem occurs because a database is damaged. This database is created by Windows Live Photo Gallery to follow the photos and videos. To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented. If method 1 does not resolve your problem, go to the next method.

    Method 1:

Run the Fixit to solve problems with Windows Live Photo Gallery that does not work on Windows Vista.

    Method 2:

Refer to the help article and check if that helps.

  • Downloading images from the camera on HP Chromebook 14

    Hello

I am new to Chromebooks and I loved everything about them. However, I can't figure out how to download photos from my camera to my Chromebook.

I have a Canon Powershot SD 790 IS. When I plug in the camera, nothing shows up in 'Files' as I read in other forums. I turned the camera on and outside, that plugged while and also tried to turn it on before plugging in, but nothing appears.

On my PC, when I plug in my camera, I just push a button which allows you to view the photos without turning the whole camera, and then it begins to download the photos to the PC.

I tried all 3 USB ports thinking maybe I got it in one, which does not recognize my camera, but no matter which it is plugged, nothing appears in 'Files' accomplishments my camera.

Is there something I do not think I should do? Or do I have to look elsewhere to see if the Chromebook is recognizing even my camera?

    Thank you

    Hey kvnniv,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I'm glad to hear you love your new Chromebook!

You do not have some option to try and see if you can upload your photos on your 13 Chromebook directly from your camera. Normally, the Chromebook accepts not cameras in this way.

    1. see if your device has a mass storage mode, you may need to manually copy the photos on your Chromebook.
2 another option is if your camera has an SD card, you could withdraw from your camera and insert it into the Chromebook.
    3. the last option would be to contact Canon to see if they have available for Chromebooks software.

Please let me know if these options don't work for you.

    Good luck!

  • Code received the error 80004005 When you try to import photos and video from the camera in Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Spent several hours in technical support with gun tries to resolve to not be able to download pictures from the camera to my Win XP computer.   Usually the computer detects the camera and demand "How would you import pictures?" and the list of shows in one window.   We don't get any list in this window, but only managed to fill the window briefly for WLPG to detect the photos and video, but when we went to import, we received the 8004005 error.   Thereafter, things have regressed, and we're back to not get any answer computer saying that it detects pictures or video - nothing.   But back to square one.

There are two issues here - likely related: unable to import photos and videos and the 80004005 error.   Who came first and is there cause and effect here, and which way should we go?  Inquiring minds want to know - and being able to import photos and video of the camera Canon Powershot A3100IS again.

After hours Technical Support Canon was completely blocked and indicated that it was probably an OS problem with my computer.

Thanks for all your great suggestions.    I finally solve the problem, but I don't know exactly what fixed it.   I ended up running CCleaner (latest version) and make a 'windows', 'applications' and cleaning of "registry".   This needed a re-boot, and when I rebooted, it's when I could finally download the pictures from the camera.    Not exactly what fixed the problem, but there may be here spirits who may be able to say, ' Yes, with blah, blah, blah, you did...» ».

As far as I know that is a lot of sterile technical support hours and re - install the software and then, finally, runing CCleaner paid off.    I will record your information in case I need it in the future... Thanks again.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/working-with-digital-pictures

    Here's something to try...

Connect the camera to the computer via a USB cable and
    Turn on the camera.

    If open windows... Close them.

    Reach... Start / computer...

Look at the drive letters and see if one of them
represents the camera. He can say removable disk

If the camera is recognized... right click on the drive letter
and from the menu choose... Open or explore.

The directory of the memory card in the camera must
poster and if you browse through the various
files, you must find the photo files.

Once found... you can copy/paste the pictures in a folder
    on your hard drive.

Simple and the best solution IMHO is to use an internal
or external USB memory card reader.

It will not drain your camera batteries and can be faster.
FWIW... download from the camera when batteries
can be low after a long photo shoot could result
    corrupted photos.

You have a USB media drive internal or external?

Insert the memory card into the correct location on the media player...
    If open windows... Close them.

When the card is inserted... If you go to... Start / computer... is
player card on one or several removable disks?

    Removable (e :)) drive
    Removable disk (e :))
    Removable drive (g)

If_Yes_you can download photos from there. Left click
the drive letter that corresponds to the memory card must
display the directory of the card and you can copy and paste or
Drag and drop the photos of your choice in a folder on your hard drive
    drive.

Just a select group of photos do a right-click and choose... Copy...
then navigate to the folder that you want, and then right-click the
    folder and choose Paste.
