  Photos you sync with an iPhone using iTunes are not in the film but in different albums. You cannot import by plugging an iPhone over USB.

  If you want to import them, save in the film.  When you try to edit a photo on the iPhone, you will be asked to create a copy in the film. Allow this.

  Or send photos by mail to your Mac.

  Frankly, it would be much faster copy photos from your PC to a thumb drive and then download the pictures of this player for Mac inches.

  Hi, I'm new on this but I can't find an answer by reading the previous posts.

  I always was able to import my photos and click the button "erase after importing" and my photos would be removed from my phone, but recently it tells me there is an error during this operation and the pictures are still on my phone using a lot of memory. Anyone know why this feature no longer works? I'm really not what although it is complicated with my pc, everything is usually automatically when I plug in my phone. Can someone give advice?

  You have iCloud library enabled on the iPhone? (in settings > iCloud > Photos & camera)?

  So you can't delete photos from the iPhone, because they are actually stored in iCloud and only in reverse on the iPhone.

  Disable the iCloud photo library, if you want to download the pictures manually by USB.  But be sure, that optimize storage is disabled and all the pictures were downloaded again icloud before disabling iCloud photo library.

However, the pc does not recognize the iphone as an external device (i.e. the camera).  Therefore, I don't see the iphone under the computer as a device options. I spoke with the support technique apple and they said this isn't a problem with the iphone, but it is rather a problem with Microsoft. can you help me please?

  You can try this method.

  If you click Start and in the AutoPlay to start search type and then should see AutoPlay fill under programs select auto play.

  Once in Auto play scroll devices and see if you see your Iphone within devices click the menu drop down and set to import pictures using windows then click ok and then you plug the Iphone and see if it allows you to import.

  Also if you want to ask you what measures you take whenever you plug your Iphone just select "ask me every time" based on the Auto play.

  The Iphone will not transfer pictures to your computer if the device is locked and you are using an access code. If you want to transfer photos, simply unlock (Slide to unlock and enter the access code), your device to transfer photos.

  Note: Connect Iphone to your computer in unlocked mode.

  This function no longer exists in LR as Adobe says that it was originally people loose photos, accidentally I think, so it must be done manually. To be honest I never used no deletion automatic, I want to import and check all is well before any withdrawals!

  A common problem on a MAC, less frequent on Windows based on my reading of the reports here in this forum

  You don't have WRITE permission in the folder where Lightroom is trying to copy the photos to (this file is put in the import dialog box in the Destination panel), so change your permissions.

  For future reference, the 201 is not the error code and no use for us here, it's the number of photos that are affected by this error. In the future, just give the complete error message.

  I think the easiest way would be to plug your iPhone on Mac and use Image Capture to transfer in the Photos App. You could also use iCloud photo library and set it to keep the originals on your computer and optimize the storage on your phone, but it looks like you would have to pay for more storage for this iCloud as a viable option for you.

  A few times a year I plug my iphone on my laptop to transfer photos, in case I lose my iphone. I plug it into my computer and when the pop-up box I click Import pictures and it does everything for me automatically. Last download I did was in June 2015. Today I went to do another upload but it only downloaded pictures of October until today (December 2015). I disconnected and reconnected, the popup's come, I clicked on import images, and he says no new pictures to import. I went into work stations, has chosen the icon iPhone from Toshiba, a click on the internal storage, DCIM, and there were two folders - 100 and 101 of the Apple Apple. The two files contained photos of October until today and nothing else.   When you import the photos on your computer, they generally go in the photos folder in the main folder of the user. Here you may find all the photos that were previously imported.
