  • Firefox and Thunderbird will download and install on my LG840G?

I have a Tracfone LG840G. I have been unable to determine what operating system to use the phone, but I think it's Android. I want to install FIrefox and Thunderbird on this phone if possible because I use both products on my PC.
    Thank you...

  • How to fix Firefox and Thunderbird when MozBackup broke?

    Hello.

We are a small family business. My father, the head of the company, really liked software MozBackup and we use it for a long time now.
About 2 weeks ago, we bought a new PC for our needs, and while I was configuring it to work, I encountered a major problem. I installed Win7 64 bit, all the drivers needed and software, including FireFox, ThunderBird and MozBackup. Everything was going well until we used MozBackup. FireFox is now having trouble with certificates - for example it shows problems with certificates not approved on Mozilla help sites, google etc. Some Web sites are displayed in plain text, in particular the support pages. Also, it does not play youtube videos - they're starting to buffer and then an error pops up. Uninstalling Firefox and deleting the profile manually do not help, when I run it again it stil has these issues. This stopped after you have reinstalled the OS, but I really don't want to do this again. Thunderbird shows that our private mail server's certificate is not approved, it also has problems with displaying certain messages (not reliable too). All other web browsers works fine. We checked today and it also happened on our new ultrabook with Windows 10, but when we updated Firefox and restored the profile with MozBackup on our old laptop - he didn't plant as on other computers. It seems to happen only with freshly installed Firefox and Thunderbird.

Could you help us somehow? Is that caused new versions of these programs? I used FF and TB 38.4.0 42.0/43.0. Maybe you could just give me a solution to restore by default, so she would go as it has just been installed? Then we could migrate to Firefox Sync with our profiles.
We would be very grateful for any help from you.

    See you soon.

You have restored the cert8.db file?

There are security software such as Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET which intercepts secure connections and sends its own certificate.

If you cannot inspect the certificate by "I understand the risks", then try this:

Open the "Add Security Exception" this URL chrome by pasting into the address bar of Firefox and check the certificate:

    • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL

In the field of location of this window, type or paste the URL of the Web site.

    • retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
    • Click on the "view..." button. "to inspect the certificate in the certificate display

You can check details such as the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the certificate display.
Check which is the issuer of the certificate.
If necessary, you can attach a screenshot that shows the display of the certificate.

  • Firefox and Thunderbird are suddenly not accept keyboard input

Keyboard shortcuts, simply enter in any field of work continues to fail so I can still use ctrl + C / CTRL + V to somewhat use firefox and Thunderbird, but all fields are completely insensitive to the entries to the keyboard

The problem occurred suddenly while I was browsing.

I have the same problem on all programs based on the Gecko engine, and I confirmed their so far in Firefox, waterfox, instantbird, thunderbird and fossamail. However chrome / windows / basically everythign n

To remedy this, I have tried the following:
    Restart firefox
    Restart of firefox in savemode
    Reset
Change the type of keyboard in windows
    Using another keyboard
    Once again reboot
Press F7 to check for insert mode that has been disabled
by pressing the Windows key + F9 (whatever this is)

    I am running windows 8.1(x64)

Resolved, change the type of keyboard again and restarting fixed. I tried to use the on-screen keyboard on which worked so I again changed the layout of the keyboard and rebooted and now it works fine. I still wonder what caused a large Gecko problem like that?

  • Why both firefox and thunderbird to start in safe mode?

Turned on my computer, run firefox and thunderbird as I always do, and they both started in safe mode. They both showed a box before opening it, who said that they are running in safe mode. Why would they do that?

Hello, safe mode is when you press the SHIFT key during launch. Maybe you might have to look more closely at your keyboard if some of the keys are stuck our rates or try with a different material...

  • Firefox and Thunderbird 31.3.0 34.0.5 does not much. Can you tell me how to solve this problem in simple terms; I'm 68 years old.

34.0.5 of Firefox and Thunderbird 31.3.0 slow down and show "not responding". I saw ways to fix it on Google, but I can't follow him. Is there a simpler way? It has been like that for about 5 months, and I was hoping that with each update, that it would fix itself. I used Mozilla for about 8 years, and this has never happened before.

Launch the Task Manager in windows. (alt + Ctrl + delete) I remember when that rebooted computers.

Open the process tab and click the CPU to sort by usage.

On my windows machine 7, the two sit around the top with 1 or 2 percent of its use. Similar is yours? or are there competing processes from upward? Thunderbird perhaps 30% 30% Firefox and something else 30%

I suggest you also want outdated plugins.
    In Firefox, go here. https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/pluginCheck/

Firefox and Thunderbird share the plugins in the registry, a single cheque must cover all.

Also hold the SHIFT key at startup (this is the mode without application failure) If you do not see the problem, it's an add-on... look for the one that is used by Firefox and Thunderbird.

  • Downloaded the update for Firefox, and now I can't get rid of AOL.

Downloaded the update for Firefox, and now I can't get rid of AOL. I tried to remove anything that is related to AOL and when restart Firefox... There are once again AOL. I even reinstalled Firefox... He was there again.

Where AOL is displayed - homepage?

I think the first thing to check is if you have any modules related to AOL. These can replace your regular settings. You can view and disable all extensions essential or unknown here:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

Note that in most cases, you should use the link to restart Firefox to actually disable the extension that you have chosen to disable.

Then, to fix your homepage, try the procedure described in this article: How to set the home page.

If there is a problem with your suppliers of research from Google for AOL, try this extension:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/SearchReset/

    Any improvement?

  • How to recover passwords for firefox and thunderbird, history other disc image (of Acronis) on external drive?

Given that the system on my laptop crashed, I did disk image on external disk c and format on the hard drive. Now, I wanted to copy all data from the disk image but system overwrites every time. I can't get back passwords, e-mails, story for firefox and thunderbird disk image. • Drawing objects in Firefox and Thunderbird after installing the graphics card MSI R6850 of AMD

After installing the new graphics card (MSI R6850 CYCLONE 1GD5 PE/OC), pilots the latest on Windows XP 32-bit, I frequently meet with Mozilla Firefox 8.0 and Mozilla Thunderbird 8.0 drawing artifacts. The problem presents itself as a horizontal black bands or model checker color scattered. It occurs especially when the child (like the Download Manager) passage of another application for Firefox or Thunderbird or when to switch to a window for Firefox. It affects the entire application or only some rectangular (region clearly who was redesigned due to change of application). Then repaint (such as switch between Firefox tabs) usually solves the problem. This is just visual, the behavior is not affected. The problem never happened to any other application so far. Any ideas? Any who have experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Here's the screenshots for the two problems:

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver that corrects these problems.

  • Crasches Firefox and Thunderbird after reinstall

Today first Thunderbird crasched and after that, it was impossible to start Firefox or Thunderbird.
I removed all the programs from the PC (W7 64 bit) Mozilla and reinstalled a fresh installation. Both programs still crasches at startup.

Think the problem is resolved, restored to a restorepoint earlier and everything seems fine!
The only problem I found was that Thunderbird could not load XPCOM (?).
After reinstall TB that the problem has been resolved.

    Thank you for your support.

  • What would be the total amount of MB or GB in the download of Firefox and Thunderbird?

I have problems with BT as they claim I used 6.1 GB download in two days since the connection of my new Dell laptop. I was wondering how much space these two downloads require that's it, I downloaded. 6.1 GB for two programs seems a bit excessive.

Hello, download the programs alone cannot cause this amount of traffic - the firefox configuration file is about 40 MB in size, thunderbird 25 MB...

  • Firefox and Thunderbird just does turn, no error message. Process on abandonment, leaves get the accident message after a while.

    Hello

Since last night, my Firefox just turns, unable to find or load any URL. It's never stops and gives an error message, everything. On leaving, the dying process persists for a minute or two before reporting that Firefox has crashed. My Thunderbird also has the same problem.

My internet works, I can sit on IRC, use IE as browser, sit on Skype etc.

I tried to restart my router and my PC, I emptied my DNS, I scanned my computer with AVG and Malwarebytes, all came clean. I changed the connection settings in Firefox to see if that solved, but he did not. I tried to start Firefox in Mode safe, did not help either. I tried to reinstall both programs, almost nothing works and at the moment I am at a standstill.

    Kind regards
    Kodain

It was probably a problem with the Windows internet settings and their release would have worked as well. That could be done by restoring the advanced settings for Internet Explorer and then reset IE to factory default.

However, I am happy to hear that you're having no longer any problems with your internet connection.

I hope you enjoy and continue to use our great products of Mozilla.

  • ETA for even 10 compatible fully functional Firefox and Thunderbird?

Win 10 is due to a little less than 3 weeks.

Those are probably better asked as in separate issues.

People have used Firefox for a while with 10 windows pre version.
Thunderbird do not know I guess it will be compatible with Windows 10.

If you have questions on a 64-bit version of Firefox, so Windows users use a 32-bit version of Firefox. I expect 32-bit Firefox to continue to work with and be compatible with Windows 10.

A 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows is less fully developed, but should be released for general use later this year. See also
