Download the latest version of iTunes with Windows 10

I can not download the latest version of iTunes with windows 10 to my laptop. I get the following message "the feature you are trying to use is on an unavailable network resource" I don't know what that means.  Any suggestions?

Hello RavynnG,

Looks like you have a problem with the installation of the latest version of iTunes on your Windows computer, the error message you describe. Is this correct?

This sometimes occurs when the Windows registry has conflicting information on software are installed. One of the users of Apple for support communities - turingtest2 - has written a useful resource for this situation, found here - troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows... | Apple Support communities

Specifically -.

The following steps should remove the reference to a file missing .msi Windows Installer Service trying to access when installing iTunes.

  1. Press WinLogoKey + R, type Regedit in the Run dialog box and then press enter/return.
  2. Click on Edit > find, type the name of the file .msi problem, for example itunes6464.msi, change the boxes look so that only the data is checked, and then click Next. You should find it somewhere:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\ {long string of letters & numbers} \SourceList
  3. Right-click on the parent key immediate with the long string of letters & numbers that contains the list of sources with the reference to the .msi file, and then click export, save it to say the office with name iTunes.reg if the data can be restored if deleting it does not help. Now right click on the key again and select delete from the context menu. This should prevent the Windows Installer to search for the .msi file when you reinstall iTunes.

If installation will not yet pass by then double-click on the file iTunes.reg that you did to restore the data in the registry, and then use the method shown to install missing components to unpack the installer of your previous iTunes installation, then extract the .msi file, you need. Double-click this option to try to uninstall the component. There are links to recent versions of iTunes in the section of the older versions .

Once completed, you should be able to run the iTunes Installer, you can download it from this location - iTunes - download iTunes - Apple
