• Where to download vCenter Server?

  I can be confused by all of the nomenclature of products and of recent sound change. I downloaded the 5.1 esxi hypervisor. He says I'm in evaluation mode. My understanding is that I can download vCenter Server and use it in trial mode to test all the features. Once evaluation mode ends, I can enter the license key I received for esxi and continue to use it with the vsphere (not server) client with less features. I want to download vcenter server to try, but I don't see where or how download it. What am I misunderstanding?

• Cannot download vCenter Server

  I signed up for the VCP exam on 10 August.  I'm trying to set up my test environment. I have problems.  Time is running out.  Help, please!

  I downloaded and installed VMware Workstation, ESX and ESXi.  I can't be able to download vCenter Server.

  I go to: http://downloads.VMware.com/d/

  I click on: VMware vSphere 4

  Then under "Standard" or "Advanced", I click on: VMware vCenter Server 4.1 and modules.

  Then I click on the download button for the version 4.1

  I get: "sorry, at the moment you cannot download VMware vCenter Server 4.1 and modules.

  If I go to any ESX instances that I installed and click on the web page: download VMware vCenter

  It goes through a similar process, but has sign me in with my e-mail address and password VMware on the way.

  Same result: "sorry, at the moment you cannot download VMware vCenter Server 4.1 and modules.

  Can you get it someone please let me now how do I get the Server vCenter?

  Usually, when you sign up for a trial, the download will be available for 60 days (same amount of time as the trial license). If you have not subscribed to the assessment, you can do so at http://www.vmware.com/go/tryvsphere

  If you have already done this, you should consider doing the same operation with a different e-mail account, ISOs will be available on this new account for more than 60 days.

  VMware allows test or with the licenses associated with accounts to download any software.

• What download vCenter choose?

  We have two hosts, one local and one remote and require a second vCenter to the remote location. We do it for continuity and is going to be reproducing our virtual machines between the two sites. Runs our current local vCenter vCenter Server 5.1 Essentials. When I go to the download page, I see several options for downloads, including VMware vCenter Server 5.5.0b and modules VMware vCenter Server 5.5.0b device, OVF disk system, data disc and device file. Which one should I download? In addition, our current vCenter is 5.1 running and these downloads are all 5.5. The various versions will be a concern?

  I'd probably use the same version on both sides. This makes it easier to manage, and - in case it takes - to solve problems. You should see a drop-down menu on the download site that allows you to select the version.

• Cannot download vCenter on ESXi 4.1 Host Agent

  I am trying to add a new host to vCenter. The host is running ESXi 4.1. Whenever I try to add this new host, I get the error "cannot install the agent vCetner service. Cannot download agent. "the host then appear in the Datacenter as disconnected. If I right click on it and then try to reconnect it I get the error "Cannot complete the connection due to an incorrect user name or password." I've attached a screenshot of the error I get, I tried unsuccessfully several different things without success. I added other hosts no problem, but for some reason it is not working. Maybe I'm just on something simple. Let me know and thanks in advanced!

  That's all. vCenter Server Essentials 4 is also limited to 3 guests.

• VMWare Tools - URL to download vcenter?

  Hi all. I'm automating my install linux and I wonder if there is a URL that can be accessed by the client during the installation that will be able to download the latest version of vmware tools using my systems. I know that I can easily create another repository, but if I am already downloading with the Manager to update the latest version, I don't want to keep two repositories to update.

  If anyone has this info, it would be greatly appreciated.

  Getting back to your question of automation:

  There is deposit on each ESXi server for all media, operating systems under/usr/lib/vmware/isoimages /.

  Also use the box (shown on the picture) to upgrade the tools automatically to the power cycle.

  Hello:

  We recently purchased a new (HP DL380 Gen9) ESXi host and that host will work with Version 5.5 Update 2.  I was asked my our VMware consultant to connect to our VMware account and get the license for Vcenter 5.5 .  I can log on to the account; but, how to the license for Vcenter 5.5?

  Then the license "vCenter Server 5 Essentials" should be sufficient. You should be able to download vCenter 5.5 from here (but don't forget to take the update correct level: 5.5, 5.5 U1 or U2 5.5): VMware vSphere 5: Private Cloud Computing, server and data center virtualization

  And you should think about upgrading 5.1 hosts after that vCenter device is installed and configured.

  Not sure if the site confused me or is it just me? I'm looking to download vCenter Operations Manager Enterprise 5.0 as it is called on the Installation and the Configuration Guide.

  What I find is VMware vCenter 5.0.2 enterprise operations. Is this the same thing, not enough Manager in there? I think that my 5.0 license will work with 5.0.2 but why is it not the same name? I'm looking for even for good download? So so very well, otherwise where the devil is she lol

  in order to evaluate the vCenter appliance in VMware Workstation, you must edit the .vmx file before you turn on/off the imported image.

  Make sure that close the virtual machine tab (or VMware Workstation) prior to the amendment of the .vmx file to ensure it is read again after the change!

  I want to install vcenter server applicance 5.5 on physical machine. And I can't find guides how to do that. I have download vcenter ISO, burn to usb, but it is not bootable. Internet search gives me nothing.

  Is it possible to install vcenter server on machine Phisical applicance? or I have to install first hypervisor, then vcenter on this

  You can not install the device on the hardware.

  The device gives you a virtual machine that is running on a server ESXi.

  If you want to use vCenter on a physical server (which is not recommended more by VMware), you must use windows install and install on a Windows Server.

  Hello, I searched all over the site of Vmware, but I am not able to download vCenter like wildfire version more.  Did remove this option?  I see the ESXi versions.
