Drab draws with Pro - 100

Earlier this week, I bought a Pixma Pro-100 to replace my i9900 printer.  My main motivation was to be able to print more quickly, because I was very satisfied of the quality of the prints the i9900 produced.

Yesterday, after I installed the Pro-100, I had two printers impressions of the same .jpg file - a picture of a Bugatti Veyron in a showroom. The 'source' is a file of 4 MB on my laptop Sony VAIO with a NVIDIA graphics chip; the paper was Canon Photo glossy Plus.  As always, the i9900 produces a beautiful and vibrant image using factory settings.  Unfortunately, the printed version of the Pro-100 was dull and lifeless, with muted colors.  I then increased each 10% the intensity of the colors and settings of brightness on the Pro-100; Yet once, although very slight improvement could be noted, the Visual quality of printing was well below that of the i9900.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I could do to bring the Pro-100 to the same standard as my i9900?

I took the printer to an authorized repair site. The technician it is a faulty Printhead and ordered another to replace it (under warranty).

  • New to Pro-100, do not print, problems with a color cast or poor shadow values

    Hi forum! I am a new owner of a Pro-100. I have a Pro - 9500 Mark II.

I have a symptom of having a kind of dominant to my dark values on several tests of purple color printing. I printed with photoshop and everything just app photo apple - same result.

My blues are supposed to be blue electric/royal, but I'm close to the Navy. Violet is also in shades clear, but not as obvious.

My nozzel checks look good, I did a cleanup, tried a few different profiles...

All advice appreciated. The image below is an idea of what I see. I'm not in a piece of color balanced to take a picture of my impression with the monitor. Thank you!

Fixed! I got on the Horn with support canon technique. Mary told me download Print Studio Pro. We made some adjustments and I now have a good impression. the result is great, but the process seems like a band-aid to put on/in photoshop. I wonder if the question is more photoshop, or even more with the software of the printer... But, Cannon was very helpful, the whole process takes about 30 minutes.

  • New printing Canon Pixma Pro-100 with streaks on circles

Hello.  I just bought the printer last week.  I'm running on a MacBook Air.  In general, I use LightRoom and Photoshop.

I am a professional photographer and recently to watch a class PKI and learned how to print it.  I was shocked by what it's beautiful prints were.  It was using an Epson in a classroom.

I did my research and talked to other photographers and decided the Pro-100 would be perfect for me, and so far, it is.

I had trouble with magenta casts when using LightRoom.  Spent in PhotoShop and got better results.  But some prints, especially those with a background of simple and clear, pale lines appear across the page.

Here is an example.  The lines appear up and down every inch of 1/4 or more:

  • ESXi 4 on Asus P6T SE with Intel Pro/100 S - adapter not supported?

I saw some of these threads, but none have quite answer my question. I set up an office whitebox with plans to use it for virtualization with VMWare ESXi 4. The Office currently has a motherboard Asus P6T SE and the following specifications:

    • Intel LGA1366 platform

    • Intel® X 58 / ICH10R chipset

    • Intel I-920

    • 6 GB Kingston memory

    • Intel Pro/100 S network map.

Installation seems to be going along great, but the trainwrecks right then the detection of network card saying "not supported network adapter. I read on the HCL\HCG for VMWare ESXi4 and I found that the onboard Realtek NIC is not supported. I bought a Linksys NIC, who did not, and then as a last attempt got a card Intel Pro/100 S, thinking that this stripped NIC would pass, but unfortunately none have worked. I have of course buying an Intel Pro/1000 card, but I think that if the Pro/100 will not work, a Pro/1000 won't work either.

I tried to change the PCI to IDE to AHCI and activation settings and disabling the NETWORK interface integrated without success. I don't know what else to try, and I rather wouldn't VMWare Server because it seems like a waste of resources to put Windows on this thing.

I ran before ESXi on Dell servers and I an ESX cluster at work that I built on two HP DL280 G6s, but I don't want the noise of a complete server in my house.

Anyone got past this problem yet?

    Hello

Check carefully this message to get a network card compatible esxi 4.

In esxi installation stage, you need a compatible network card that is present on the host computer. Is a good idea to disable all NICs not supported, then just left active management (s).

    Hope this helps

    Best wishes / Saludos.

  • error 0 x 00000024 on Satellite Pro 100

    Hello

I have an old Satellite Pro 100, handed one to nine.
I was loading a .iso file when my laptop crashed.
    I restarted to get to a blue screen with the error message 0 x 00000024, followed (0x001902FE, 0xFX7AAF380, 0xF7AAF07C, 0x86E74805).

He told me to restart the laptop and run chkdsk /f in command.
I started in safe mode with cmd, cancelled stpd.sys, which caused my laptop down and ran chkdsk/c (check) before I ran chkdsk /f (fix). It worked very well.
I then input the command chkdsk /f and cmd said that he could not access and lock on the drive. He asked if I wanted to run chkdsk /f on the next startup. I said yes and then restarted.
It came with the blue screen again, so I held the switch to turn it off, and then turned back on.
I loaded in safe mode with cmd and cancelled loading stpd.sys.
This time, there was a longer break, and I assumed that the laptop was running the command chkdsk/f function.
The laptop has rebooted spontaneously after that she 'finished', as far as I could tell, but once again to the front blue screen.
I also tried to use the command chkdsk /r (resolve), but that froze just of the laptop.
When I restarted the laptop, he returned to the blue screen.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem, preferably without wiping my HARD drive, I read on websites who told me to use the chkdsk/f above method proposed my blue screen?

    Thanx

    Hi mate,

First of all, it would be interesting to know what model Satellite Pro 100, you exactly. Satellite Pro A100, Satellite Pro L100 or something else?

It's not easy to tell why you get thses blue screens, but have you tried a system restore to an earlier point? You can do this in the advanced boot menu (F8) where you can also choose Safe mode, etc.
    Check this box!

If this doesn t work I think you need to reinstall Windows. If there is a recovery disc supplied with your laptop you can use. This disk can restore factory in a few minutes and your laptop should work properly again. :)

  • Satellite A100-003 - card PRO/100 ethernet only work at 10 Mbit/s/s

    Hello!

Several days back, something is passed to the network card * Intel(r) PRO/100 VE Network Connection * and now inaccessible in some State of work.
Networking possible only in mode: 10 s/Mbps (Half Duplex) and 10 Mbit/s/s (Full Duplex).

While in mode + 100 Mbit/s / s (Half Duplex), 100 Mbps / s (Full Duplex), Auto Negotiate + - completely the connection errors. The Test of the cable passes. Checked with another computer - all the work ordered. So, is obtained, card problem... Reinstall the drivers and updated connections tried, drivers (OS Vista Home Premium).

Is it possible to do something?

    First question:
Do you use the preinstalled Toshiba OS image?

    Second question;
How did you test the network adapter and the speed? Did you use utilities and programs making authorities?

The A100-003 belongs to the PSAAR series. Please note that the page of the Toshiba driver does not provide a special LAN Vista driver. Seems that the Lan card uses the own driver that was included in the Vista operating system.

I would recommend to access the properties of the LAN card driver.
This can be done in the Device Manager. There you can check if the options in the Advanced tab has been updated with the correct settings. For example, the option called optimum performance must be on Enable.

I just bought a Canon Pixma Pro 100 and I have problems with the color matching, specifically, fate blue violet.  I have a spyder express and have corrected my monitor color.  I had a problem earlier with this yellow, but I have very close with Print Studio Pro Player with lightroom.  Here are my settings and the specific screenshot. • PIXMA Pro-100, very dark print

    Hi all

I just bought my Pro-100 and installed yesterday evening. I upgraded to an HP that was strictly CMYK (only 4 ink). I installed according to the instructions, but my impressions seem to come out substantially darker than they should be. Lime green print darker green. The bright blue print a darker blue. The bright red print a very dark red. Roses are dark pink print. The tones are much, much darker than they should be.

I print Adobe programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, and Pro - CS6 all). Am I missing a setting somewhere? On my previous printer, I would choose "primary preserve CMYK" and it printed perfectly. Now, I can't seem to get my impressions a normal colour. I'm not attempt "to match my monitor", just trying to get the colors closer to their true colors. I have CMYK primaries preserve not controlled and checked that the printer determine colors, but none of these options seem to be able to help.

I called Canon support, but they were unable to help me. He had put me my settings all default return and test printing. When this does not work, he said "good printers vary by brand so theres really nothing we can do about it." I can't imagine that this big of a printer prints it off on the colours.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

"... There's nothing we can do about it." »

Well, of course it is not true.  I have three of these printers in this line.  The 9000, 9500 II amd Pro-100.

They are all printed differently, but after a bit of tinkering with settings, they all did very well.  They are great printers.

First of all you do not leave the printer defined anything.  Cut each little out of control there.  You can do it with the Canon My Printer the printer settings tab.  Do you know how?  I think, Yes, for the moment, but if you don't come back to me.

Secondly, you must have PS manage all settings and corresponding color.  You know how to do this?

And finally, it is essential that you get some settings on your monitor which corresponds somewhat to the prints.  Your printer can do exactly what you say to do, and not sure that it is.  Because your monitor is turned off.  If you don't do this step, you can forget the other steps.  However, there are only a few things that must be addressed.  You don't need for any fancy additional modules to do this.

But you must get very narrow gray-scale.  You must get very close brightness and you must close contrast.

Once you do these things, you can make adjustments to your impressions by looking at just your screen.  Because you know that the monitor and printer are on the same level.  Another point, you cannot get a printer to print all colors exactly as you saw.  It is not possible because all the colors and adjustment in effect all the others.  My goal is to get the right tones.  That's what people notice.

For example, I know that my most recent Pro - 100 tends to print darker than what I see on the screen.  So I automatically know to set it's prints a stop brighter in PS.  It also prints with a warn a little tone.  Most of the time, with in particular, protraits cela if OK, but sometimes it is not.  In this case I set the 'temp' slightly cooler setting in PS.

Make sure that you have the correct ICC profile and that you use brand ink Canon and paper until you get well with the printer.  Very, very important!

  • Why my PRO - 100 black-and-white prints have a color tint?

I print out on the printer PIXMA Pro-100 and sometimes, for no apparent reason (?), my black and white prints have a color tint (generally a "reddish brown"), then when printing to new... same settings print, same... the same impression will be fine, neutral with no tint at all.

    No idea why?

Also (perhaps related?) I do not understand why Photo-Cyan and Magenta cartridges are exhausted when I'm NOT print color, but only black and white.  Am I missing something?  When you set up for printing, I always make sure that the 'Black and white photography' feature is selected in settings dialog "Quick Installation".  This ensures not only the black and gray inks are used as long as I'm not "toning"?  In other words... ONLY black and gray inks are used, if not the impression that is supposed to be a black and white printing neutral? Yet once... I missed something?

    FOR INFO:

I print on Canon Pro radiance papers and more glossy.

Under 'Options - color management', I selected:

(color management) Photoshop Elements handles colors

    (image area) Adobe RGB (1998)

(the printer profile) Canon PRO-100 1/2 Luster Photo Paper Pro

    (rendering mode) Perceptual

The most important thing is the paper you choose to print on.  Find this first release. Any Epson printer which uses UltraChrome K3 inks will do a better job with B & W as a Pro-(anything).  But Epson suffers from obstruction more far do, Canon Pro-100 problems.

If you print a lot is not too big of a problem, but if you print once a week or once a month to forget it.  Go with Canon that clogged very rarely, if ever.

Try to find the right paper.  It will make everything better.  Call the Red River or Canson and ask them to recommend a book.  Red River will work with you and they know the Pro - 100 inside and outside.

  • CASTING MAGENTA ON B & W PRINTS (PRO-100)

I thought I had my Pro-100 raised in another post all but resolved. But alas even after the use of Print Studio Pro, I still find a slight magenta cast in the real sense. I don't know what to do about it. I have attached a screenshot of the PSP settings. Any suggestions?

    ED

Just got off the phone with Canon. A single line take away... There is nothing you can do.

I was told my setting are all correct.  The magenta cast is due to ink in dye based and it is more pronounced the most brilliant paper. According to the representative of the printer, color casting should be better with semigloss brighter and better with than semi-gloss shine and even better with Matt as vividly.

Otherwise, there is nothing I can do. Well. I guess I'll run an Epson 3800/Canon PRO-100 comparison on Moab Entrada Matte I have here.

FOLLOWED - I ran a comparison using the Artic Red River polar (glossy for Canon printers) Satin and luster for Epson printers. No cast. The two look alike. SUCCESS!  It is the documents.

  • PRO-100 network settings

I just got my Pro-100 and set up, but I can't figure out how to get the network settings. I printed the network configuration page and it shows that my ethernet is disabled. Where can I enable and whee do configure ethernet and wifi settings? I have install all software provided on the CD, and I can't find anthing that connects me to these settings. It is currently connected through the USB port, but this is not how I want to connect. Frustrating!

Just use the Canon IJ Network Tool to change your settings.  Let him find the printer, select the printer port, click the configuration tab.  Here you select the wired lan connection and have the choice to give up or let the printer get the IP address automatically.  In my system, my assigned IP printer is 10.0.0.3.  I found assigning printers in the better router and ports (wired and wireless) Setup and any changes in the automatic allocation of router messed with my configuration of printer port assignment.

If you have installed the drivers both 8-bit and 16-bit, you may need to verify that the port assignments have the same address.  I don't remember if I had to assign in the two ports, but better to be safe.

  • Pro - 100 does not wake

I've used the Pro-100 for a few months now. I have connected to my local network by radio. The problem I'm having is that when I try to print, I can't communicate with the printer. I can turn on the printer and see that he has received an IP address on my local network. If I try to print using the Canon print utility, then I get a communication failure. I have a Windows failure, too. The only way I am able to print to it is to turn it off and start printing, while the printer goes through its 'power routines. As soon as I did this, then I can print to it fine, until I have turn off the laptop or the printer.

    Congratulations for the new grandchild.

It will most certainly be Auto On.
