  It is normal and expected for large displacement and falls.  If you need to move large files or allow large groups of file, and then transfer them via VMware Shared Folders and or a share of normal network (SMB/CIFS) for multitasking.

  I will say this however.  I am running windows XP pro host and Vmware with Linux Red Hat Fedora 10 as the guest OS.  I'll probably install XP on it in a day or two to see how it works.  Long user VPC time here to try VMWARE first at the time I also tried connectix VPC and choose to keep the VPC then as the top program.  It is quite obvious that VMware is the best of both in its current phase, but how in the world can you expect from ourselves to a program that does not work in some critical areas.

  Is anyone else out there there's this version 6.5 installed and if yes can actually use you files shared?  Someone there itstalled with XP and Linux Guest host?

  Any one that can have drag and drop?  Copy and paste work?  Anyone with shared working folders?

  In order to get drag / move to work trying to start vmware-user from a console.

  I noticed that vmware - the user does not seem to start on RPM based distributions.  I saw this on Suse 11.1, F10 and Centos 5.2.  It starts automatically on debian (lenny) and kubunto at least here.

  Yes, but the fact that you can do something does not suggest that it would be wise to do. Please take a minute to think about it per.

  If you delete files on your Mac for free space and move them to the TC... so that only one copy of these files you will be on the TC.  What will happen to the files when... not if... you have a problem with the TC?

  A plan much better, faster and more secure would be to add a USB to your Mac and move your files there. Then, Time Machine can back up your Mac and the USB attached to your Mac to the TC.  It would be a minimum backup... plan your files 'master' on the USB drive and 'backups' on the TC.

  This seems to be due to changes in the Mavericks. A bug was noted for the workflow broken in Dreamweaver.

  Please follow the workaround by inserting objects from the panel insert until the bug is fixed.

  When I've been updated AE got drag and drop my library panel, but now when I drag an image there simply does not appear.

  To the place where you drag? Only by dragging in the project to import the jobs Panel in versions up to the present. By dragging directly towards the composition works in the version we are releasing later this year.

  Muse has defiantly a bug, if you select an object, first of all, in the content of your region and your willingness to see the cc library allow to add items.

  

  This however, only the element which is already included in your project Muse.

  I have solved this problem by using the cc Adobes library in another application, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  All of my graphics and fonts are now synced to my library of cc and when I return in Muse, fixed!

  all my items are there to use the library of cc AI or Psd.

  I have a test tool automated radio (PCMCIA card) on a PDA at work (a DELL Axim). This benchmark to generate HTML reports.

  I have no the ability to control the PCMCIA device because I can't program under Windows CE and the manufacturer of test bench want gives its API.

  I want to get the HTML of PDA files in my application of CVI, I stopped to read the results.

  So I connected my PDA on my computer and tried cloth & drop its files to a panel CVI (code below):

  -It works when the files/folders dropped on the Panel are my computer or local network Explorer window

  -It works with files dragged out of the window of the Explorer of PDA (Computer\Mobile Device\My Pocket PC). Then the path written inside the Explorer is like "\Windows\StartUp".

  Why?

  It seems that no drag & event drop is created when I drop files from my PDA.

  Does anyone have an idea? A similar experience? Is it caused by "Microsoft ActiveSync"?

  One solution is to drag the PDA files on my local drive using Explorer. But such an simple operation could be avoided!

  You can configure Active Sync to synchronize your Axim to your PC files, so whenever the Axim is connected to the PC it will transfer files from the Axim to the PC.

  Then use Lab Windows CVI to access these files directly from the directory on your PC.

  I use DW8 for the redesign of a site someone else created in FrontPage and will continue adding content using FrontPage. I'm afraid that another user would not understand CSS formatting and finally break, so I keep a page a table-based layout using the fairly minimal CSS for style.
  
  Some of these pages, when I try to drag an image from the list on the page file DW, the cursor only becomes a stripe diagonal-circle sign ' ", and it will not drop the image. When I create a blank page, with or without a table, I can drag image files and drop them without problem.
  
  There is NO FrontPage special tricks in these pages, by the way - no model or anything that uses FrontPage. Just in case I was missing everything I did "clean up html" command and had him remove DW or non - DW comments, and he found nothing to 'clean up '.

  I still don't know what the problem was, well, just rename the site and its location on the disk, forcing DW to reread everything from the beginning, eliminated the mysterious problem. There is probably an easier way to force DW to do this - I'll look for it if it happens again.

  I would like to be able to drag an image from a Web browser in bridge. Now I have to open a window on the same folder windows Explorer to drag the images in, and I use them to bridge view. Looks like a pretty easy fix. Would make a huge difference. I am constantly collecting the images quickly for reference, and it's annoying to have to have a dedicated windows Explorer open for drag & drop window.

  Hi Satya,

  I did it for you... Please copy the sub set of the code and try to run the application. You can see the application works for you.

  You have made two mistakes - you added event on this object listeners... but it refers to the current object (i.e.; your main application file but not TextInput).

  You so need addEventListeners to your textinput "t1" but not this...

  If you add listeners on it then in the functions of your 'acceptDrop' and 'handleDrop' you get 'dragEvent.currentTarget' as your main application but not TextInput (given that you added listeners to "this"). If you addListeners on t1 then its okay.

  Also, you need to add the eventListeners for the newly added text boxes like I did based on 'box_addChild' to the code below.

  Also in the handleDrop function the line of code where you set the text is bad... .it takes the code below...

• I can drag and drop bookmarks from one folder to another, but I can't move them up and down in a folder.

  Once I "show all bookmarks", go into my library and click "Bookmarks Menu", all my favorites are listed in the right pane. I want to vertically move bookmarks in this pane, and I can't. (I could always with Firefox 3). I can move them to a folder to another, but not in a single folder. I found a really cool site and want it near the top of my list, not 40 points down where I have to dig for it!

• Why can I I is no longer drag and drop photos directly from photos of apple in the Pages?

  Until very recently, you can take a photo from iphoto/photos and then quickly drag and drop directly into the Pages. Now, I have to drag and drop the photo on the desktop, then drag and drop again from office to the Pages. Is this just a way more Apple is dumbing things down and make things slower for those who already know how to use their software or some setting I'm not aware of?

  In the Pages v5.6.2, you can click, drag and drop an image from the Photos app in the page document related, just as you can from the media tool in the toolbar of the Pages v5.6.2.

  To get an image from Photos in a Pages ' 09 v4.3 document, you must click on the image you want in Photos and menu editing: copy, right click in the document to Pages ' 09 followed to select Paste from the context menu. There is no drag and drop Photos in Pages ' 09 v4.3. There is no access to the photo library within the Pages ' 09 v4.3 support tool.

  Tested: OS X 10.11.5.
