Dragging several media in vertically stacked tracks clips in the timeline? Is this possible?

Hoping that some Adobe Premiere Guru might be able to lend insight into what apparently should be a fairly simple thing to do... but despite scouring the web, I can't seem to find a glance of a solution for this.

My neighbor (who, either by the way, I got to go with first CS5.5 as its NLE of choice as a result of uncertainty FCPX) working on a project of 'reality-style' where they have a massive amount of cameras working simultaniouisly hours and hours on end. think that the style of the Big Brother House.

Essentially for every hour of the sequence, he creates a project in which all the multiple camera (MOV) of the images of this time are listed/linked to the thread in the project Panel. For example, for the TIME being ONE, it has images of all 20 cameras (or other) currently one that there are listed.

BASICALLY what he wants to be able to do is to grab ALL the sequences of these different cameras AT the SAME TIME, drag them on the timeline, and when he leaves fall there, the video (and, conversely, audio) clips STACKED vertically, one above the other, each taking its own course in the timeline panel.

Currently, of course, when he does the images organizes itself in the end-to-end scenario. In the case of my HOUR ONE, 20 example of CAMERA, this essentially creates a long clip of 20 hours, as unlike a clip of an hour with 20 tracks, stacked one on the other.

As far as we can tell, have there is no shortcut to get there. I VAGUELY remember being able to do this in FCP (maybe?) so I'll be dazed and more than just a little disappointed if there isn't a way to pull this off in first.

Does anyone have an idea if this mode to automatically fall of clips in the timeline as superimposed tracks is possible? It, literally, to save him hours and hours of work if he can understand the secret. And I don't feel as guilty for him after having turned on the creation of this special project!

And if someone knows that it is NOT possible, it would be great to know as well. At least, we can put the concept of room one way or another.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards, Michael

You can do this with the command sequence camera make multiple source in Premiere Pro CS6 (note that this has been posted before CS6 launch):

  1. Mark clips
  2. Select the clips
  3. Choose item > create sequence multiple camera Source
  4. Choose the style of synchronization, and then click OK
  5. Right-click on the camera sequence multiple source and choose > open in the timeline.
  6. Clips are now stacked inside a sequence

  • NO Option/drag to make a copy of a clip in the timeline

Sorry for what is perhaps a question very basic, but in several other programs that I use, pressing option while dragging a selection will make a copy of the selection and place it where the mouse is released.  First she something like that for moving and copying a clip in the timeline?

    Cris is happiness

Unfortunately, first has no option to drag ' don't copy. The closest you can get using Ctrl / Cmd + C to copy your clip instance in the timeline, then by positioning the CTI where you want the copy to appear and press Ctrl / Cmd + V to paste. Don't forget that your tracks are properly targeted before pasting.

  • Slide the 2nd clip in the timeline removes audio

When I drag a clip in the timeline to a new project, it fits perfectly. When I drag a clip in the timeline in this same project, will move in the video, but no audio signal is included.

I have not had this problem before, thought my videos are from the same camera: Panasonic AVCHD. But I could make a mistake somewhere in the workflow as it is the first major project, I am in train from the passage of Final Cut Pro. I have copied my raw images to an external HD, created a new project and then choose file > import. I pointed out in the record of the raw images and a few seconds, it has imported everything. (In FCP, I'm used to it converting the images into a Quicktime format, but first seems happy to work with AVCHD).

The original film is more than an hour long, so the camera has divided it in 4.29 GB of files. Will all PLAY in the window of project very well, so I know the audio is there, but when I drag them in the timeline, the audio is not allowed to go with her.

I have even a clip exported and it re-imported as a QT file. NO other clips cannot be added to the timeline with their audio intact.

I am grateful for ideas or suggestions!

You probably forgot to patch source track.

  • very jerky playback for H.264 clips in the timeline of the MCCP 2015.1

Since the update for first Pro CC 2015.1, I noticed that playback is now much choppier. So far I could always play any video of any format very smoothly. I am currently loading A7s2 Sony 4 K H.264 clips in the timeline, and this has never been a problem before the 2015.1 today update.

But if I fast forward in the timeline panel, reading becomes very agitated and much more during fast playback in reverse.

Everyone has noticed that since the update to 2015.1 today?

Even if I drop the playback quality all the way up to 1/8, 2015.1 CC PP seems to choke when fast forwarding or rewinding.

The good news is that I just spoke with Adobe they assured me he will release a totally stable version of 2015.1 in 2-3 weeks maximum, for some before Christmas, they said.

Yes, I would return to 2015.0 as well, but the only option I see 2014 with the police of the yellow interface is available. I would not go back too far. Just for June 2015 update.

  • No audio track appears when I drag the clip to the timeline.

Hi, this problem has just. When I try to put a video file in the timeline, only the video portion appears. I tried different types of video file, and the result is the same. I still have PP CS4 and experimented with the same movie files, and it works perfectly. This is probably a simple solution, but I've exhausted all my ideas. Help, please! I'm under PP CC. Thanks in advance.

Drag / drop may not work if you don't have any enabl; e source patch or did not target the track for the same thing.

  • How to use several different sections of the same clip in the timeline?

Hey, I used this tutorial as a reference for editing. I have my own equipment I want change, which includes several takes different. Reason: changed the title of best research opportunities

I prefer to put the clip in the Source monitor Panel, then set the points and exit. From there you can simply drag the section of the element in the sequence.

Or, you can make a subelement, the section will have a distinct element in the bins in the project Panel. You should always keep the original material, but now you can have real subitems to work if you prefer.

  • Why can't drag a clip in the timeline?

I just loaded PP CD5 on my Win 7 laptop.  Can I import video clips into my project, but I can't drag one of these clips in the timeline.  When I try and do slip, I get a helping hand with a symbol of the "no entry".  No error message any.

I vaguely remember having this same problem when I loaded PP CS5 on my Win 7 office several months ago, and I thought I found something on the forums who told me how to fix it, but I can't find it now.  Maybe a change in preferences?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you actually created a sequence? If not, go to file > New > sequence, or drag one of your video clips to the icon of a new element at the bottom of the project Panel. You can also click on that to get the option new sequence.

  • My first stop runnig suddenly when I try to drag a clip to the timeline or after scoring its entry points and in the Preview Panel, I try to drag it to the timeline.

Suddenly my first Pro CC 2015-2 arrested runnig when I tried to drag a clip to the timeline, or when, after scoring its entry points and in the Preview Panel, I tried to slide the timeline. Apparently it works because it keeps at the opening, but one cannot do anything but you close with control Q; the keys on the keyboard are one thing that really works.  I can't do anything with the mouse and it seems that a certain way, the software crashed, but with all the panels open and without any warning. I copied the complete proyect to your laptop with the first Minister Pro 2015-1 and it happened the same thing, so I think the question is on the project and it started to happen after the update by 2015-1 about 10 days ago (this is not the first time that's happened but to this day I don't know how every time it turned fixed) old work projects and I finish the proyect (from scratch from another) on the same computer and with the same OS (windos10) without any problem with the Premier Pro CS6. So far I have not had problem with the version of 2015-1 that I bought last November. Could someone tell me what is happening and what is the solution?

[edited by mod, too long title]

Fixed with a new version of the same driver 341.92. I hope that it will be forever. Thanks for your advice and also thanks to the chat support team that came to the same conclusion.

My normal short clip in the timeline panel. When I hit the break, vertical lines appear. The lines are also exported. Why?

Found an answer online. Here it is:

I also want to mention that if you disable your GPU acceleration and use the software only mode the question should stop. It seems to affect only when the GPU acceleration is turned on.

Go to file > project settings > General and only software switch.
