Drawing a pixel logo?

Hi, I'm fairly new to Illustrator. I have a company logo with a single format, which is the PNG format. Unfortunately, the designer who created our logo could not get back to us with a logo nice and crispy, so that's where I have to jump in. I want to know how to find the logo and do exactly like the original. The logo looks very simple to do but his question just of tracing. Can anyone help? The logo is below for those who ask

Looks like you're fishing for a 'gift '.

I don't blame you, but I think that you can do. Just make it work with the pen tool.

  • draw highlight pixels

    Hi all!

    I have a problem. I would like to create a template editor. In the template editor or - Pattern Matching mask creation is very cool.
    I want to do the same thing. Then, when I hold the mouse button, I can draw full red pixel. (It's OK, using standard image), but when the mouse upward, the colorful region highlighted. (i.e. circles/ovals, user defined forms to hide the model.)

    Could you help me, how to make, when the mouse upward, the colorful region becomes highlighted.

    (I tried IMAQ rectangle - color OK, I can't define redding forms one part of a picture.)

    Thank you very much!

    As far as I can see, highlight is supported for only rectangles.

    So, you have two choices:

    1 convert you KING in mask, much then small rectangles (1 x 1) highlighted according to your overlay mask image. This way is easier, but can be slow.

    2 convert the KING to mask (or perform the merge overlay, then generate the mask), then convert your gray image in RGB and modify pixel intencities (red channel) for the simulation of effect of high point.

  • How to draw pixel data in a layer of generator

    Hello

    How can you draw arbitrary RGBA data in a layer?

    Is there an API that do this directly? So I'm guessing not, could go in the target box, by selecting each pixel and then by a fill with the color needed operation - or maybe draw each pixel with the pencil tool, etc. Is there a standard way to do such things? I guess people must have had to do, but I couldn't find any discussion or the code examples.

    If the use case is not clear, I call generator.getPixmap on a layer, then I change the data and want to draw the results in another layer. It is through generator, generator of code or JSX would work (although the API generator would be much easier to work with).

    Thank you!

    Hi, it's weird, it worked, maybe it's because the progress bar, I know that sometimes it crashes Photoshop when you have a palette window... I tested the script with the latest version of the CC on Windows and it worked fine... In any case, you can do this effect desired directly in Photoshop and interactivity as well. I created a screen on how I did it:

    This way when you edit the smart object it will automatically update the margins of threshold. All you have to be careful is not having a black with the glow of the 0 in your color. You can have it with a value of 1 instead.

    Re-installing Dell inspiron 19 has windows 7

    People,

    I have a Dell Inspiron 19. The Dell of Dell diagnostics disk utilities & drivers say all right. It is a Seagate 320 GB drive. I installed the drive on another computer and used sea tools to erase the disc.  Then I created a partition and marked as "bootable".

    When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.  A few pixels logo show and then it's there.  Any ideas?  I worked on it for several days.  Really a "stumper" for me and I did something like that for years!

    Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer.  After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

  • Problem logo 3D spinning when importing from PS5 Extended

    Hi people,

    I've created a logo in Photoshop CS5.1 extended (part of the suite Production Premium), first in 2D and then using the strummed tool giving a bit of depth in 3D and recording it as a PSD file.

    I then import PSD Photoshop file into After Effects 5.5 and everything is tickety-boo. However, the problem I encounter is that I want to rotate the logo to a full round per second, but can not achieve.

    I can run, but he turns like it was turning around a vertical tube, I not want to turn on the spot but I can't do the draw and the logo, and the vertical axis to the top line so when it turns it revolves around an arc/circle instead of turning on the spot.

    Please see the attached video and screen capture that could shed some light on my problem.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    ANNAN_LOGO_AE_SCREEN_GRAB2.jpg

    Here you have a few easy options. The first is to open your PSD file, select the 3D layer and choose Mesh back to the initial position. It is a small icon that looks like a house in the 3D mesh panel. It must be centered in the mesh of the composition.

    The second is to duplicate the null controller, rename it, and then move the dupe in central position and make the dupe of the controller null parent.

    A third option would be to do the tricks the parent of the camera and animate the camera instead of the layer.

  • pdf creation of the SAME SIZE of two pdf files

    I'm probably not follow instructions very well, and I'm not finding an explanation in the documentation so I hope someone can help me here.

    I have two pdf files. one is a cover of a magazine page, and the other is a page within the magazine where my work is mentioned. I want to combine these two PDF in a SINGLE pdf, but in a way that both the pdf is the same size. I feel like I am missing a setting somewhere for it as whenever I do this inside page is printed on the pdf document to half the size of the cover page.

    I tried to save out in png and making sure they are the same size and resolution, but it prints (except Preview) with white around the borders.

    I tried recording outside in optimized PDF and affecting the sizes 8 x 11 and 72 dpi but this then prints out Acrobat as a very pixelated in the document that are not readable.

    can someone help me with a step by step on how this can be done? It seems that I should just be able to open two random pdf files in the menu CREATE and then tell Acrobat to print to a specified size (this would be easy!), but I must be missing something.

    TIA

    Hotwheels 222,

    It might help to think that PDF is a container that can have many things such as texts, photos, graphics, vector elements, etc. all wrapped up in it.

    Normally, the content is created in another application such as InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word or many other applications. In the application you create a blank document and add or place images, type text in any font you want to place or create some elements of vector (if the application has actually vector tools)and even other multimedia such as audio and video as long as the application supports,

    Photos can all have a different resolution, vector elements have no resolution (I'll explain), the text can be in many different fonts, and they all keep their distinct characteristics within the PDF file.

    A PDF file created from an application like Photoshop will be just a resolution, because the PS is a pixel in the image editor and a PS document can have only one resolution.

    .. .the idea that two adobe products cannot communicate Acrobat to photoshop in terms of a resolution of pdf in photoshop seems very awkward... Once again, as a PDF file may have a lot of pictures with different resolutions, even if the PS could get this info (which may not) what PS resolution would decide to use? PS sheets it is up to the user to decide based on what they want their final production can be.

    You mention a document you have this "seems no inserted images" and "it appears as if there is an image"?

    The pdf of the cover are you referring?  The PDF producer is "Adobe Acrobat Image Conversion plug-in 10.0" is a tip out of 'Test Name screen' and thought it came from Photoshop.

    While possible, this document was created entirely in Photoshop, it is also likely that it was created in another application such as InDesign, exported from here in PDF and then PDF etc. was opened in Photoshop that rasterizes the content and flattened into an image file with the resolution you have chosen when opening in PS and then saved as just an image in PDF format. The graphic designer who created this probably did this because they did not want to give you a print quality PDF that you can try to extract the elements of.

    You mentioned that you thought that the doc was in Adobe Illustrator (AI) HAVE is primarily a tool for creating vector allowing also to the pixel for inclusion based raster images (with a resolution of specific pixels) to be included in a document of AI if wanted.  Strictly speaking, vector objects do not have a resolution. They are based on mathematics,

    He said essentially, put a point to such & such X, coordinated, now, put an another punch to another X, Y coordinates, it takes account of the arc or angle between the two points and said to draw a straight line, or draw a curved line, etc. Since it is only the mathematical instructions. This can be as large as you want and the relationship between the 2 points and the arc of the curve or line will dictate how the extended line or curve will be redrawn enlarged.

    Vectors are 'independent of the resolution' you can draw a vector logo to 1 x 1 inches and enlarge it to 50 x 50 inches or even as important as a home and it will always print crisp and clean. Notice, that this applies only to vector content in your document; pixel content is blocked in the resolution, it was created in the.

    To inspect the elements in a PDF document using the object Inspector in Acrobat Pro. Since a PDF file can contain several different objects, you have to click exactly on each object to get information about the selected object. So if you had 10 photos in your PDF you must select each in turn and he would give you the size in pixels, resolution, color space and profile, etc if you have clicked on the text, it will identify the police. It is well named, an Inspector of the object rather than a Document Inspector. Try it yourself with the different PDF files that you may encounter. If for example, it gives you the exact same info (resolution, pixel dimensions etc.) bit matter when you click, then you're probably dealing with a simple image. If you get the dimension in different pixels, resolutions when you click in different areas, you're dealing with a PDF file that had separated the distinct elements.

    I don't see why I shouldn't be able to get a document that is located at 17.7 x 22.9 to 72 dpi up to one that is 8 x 11 at 300 ppi.

    In Photoshop, go to the Image, the Image Size menu. This will show the dimensions in pixels (width & height) at the top. If you don't interpolate (resample) Photoshop can only put the same number of pixels in different size documents. When you press it same number of pixels in a smaller resolution doc increases. When you place the same number of pixels in a larger doc and the resolution fails.

    Don't forget, that the resolution is PPI (Pixels Per Inch). If you do the math it starts to make sense.

    Below notes that each dialog box features the same EXACT pixel dimensions.

    In the first box, it shows the 1275 x 1650 pixels in a document of 17.708 22.917 x inches. This gives a resolution of 72 DPI.

    In the second box, I changed the size of the document to 8.5 x 11 inches and pixels of 1275 x 1650 even now increase the resolution to 150 DPI.

    In the third box, I changed the resolution to 300 DPI and the pixels of 1275 x 1650 even now decrease the size of the document to 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

    If you check the resampling, Photoshop will interpolate (resample) image to throw the pixels, or adding pixels, but there is no magic involved and the results are never as good as we could hope.

  • How to segment joints cracks between them using the wizard of vision?

    I built an application that processes the images taken from a camera high resolution with IR lighting. I noticed some cracks in the pavement could unite or are having joints that are cut into the concrete or ashalt. I need to distinguish between the cracks and joints so that I can classify and record their location on the image for a worksheet. I saw where someone has used the segmentation of the circular basin of separation is opposed, but it works for cracks (lines) so? If not is there ideas for 'disconnect the cracks in the joints. I have attached my script assistant of vision and an image of the sample. Thanks in advance for your advice.

    I tried the features of the morphology and the problem is it joining a crack for joints, if it was them that intersect and then counts as a single object/shape. I ended up finding a solution really good. I used the detection of edge advanced prior to dilation image, then use those points to detected lines to extract the joints and obtain the necessary information (width, length, position), then use the positions draw black pixels on the joints on the binary. This allowed me to get the information that I needed for the joints and also remove them from the binary image so that I can treat the cracks by flying over in he picture. Now, I just need to find a way to get some of the other object that the threshold is removed so that I find myself with just the cracks. Thanks for the help. Its always good to get some ideas from someone looking to another direction.

  • Transparency and color precision

    Hello

    I created a PNG with only 1 color: white, but with varying degrees of transparency.

    My idea is to cover this png on top of any solid color and create a brilliant UI, regardless of which is the background color.

    However, when I applied, I don't see that on 5 different shades of white, so theoretically it should be 255 different shades.  Needless to say, it looks terrible.

    Do you have suggestions on how to make this work better?  Could I manually draw the pixels using Graphics.drawARGB for best effect, or is this a limitation of the device Simulator or blackberry?

    If you have any suggestions on how to create the desired effect, I would greatly appreciate them.

    I'm sure that transparency is 8-bit (0-255), but the transparent color is mixed with the underlying color, and the result is 16-bit color. I'd do a few tests to determine the best combination of what you want. So do images of 32-bit normal and then save them as 16 bit images to see how to work the colors on the scale.

  • WYSIWYG lines in photoshop CS6?

    In CS6, is there a way to draw a line where you see that you draw in reality and not an outline of the line?  I try to draw single pixel non-anti-aliased lines at 800% zoom and I just a glimpse of a line instead of pixels.

    Hi Daveperson,

    The shape tools have 3 different drawing modes:

    1. Shape layers
    2. Paths
    3. Pixels

    The first 2 Create vector shapes, while the last created raster forms. If you select Pixels you can uncheck Anti-alias , who will then do what you want.

    Then select the line tool and change the pixel mode.

  • Component FLVPlayback + HTML5

    For a HTML5 Canvas project, I am in need to use imported FLV videos (screen Green w / alpha channel), in order to publish highly compatible on the web. Because the FLVPlayback component is not supported in the HTML5 draft, is it a possible workaround to achieve what I want with the Adobe software? If not, could I get informed how this could be done with other programs/techniques?

    While there has been "solutions" in the past, the answer is ultimately the codecs that support this are limited and unreliable. You will need to use something to really pull this off is to separate your alpha channel in the video, then using an invisible Web to deal with video-based alpha channels (reading pixel by pixel to determine what percentage of opacity to draw single pixel). Some people use a specific color in the video as the channel (for instance if you just need red text, and then use a different background color as the alpha). You draw then that a visible canvas after calculation. It's very unideal but there is no "best way" to do this now, external Flash.

    A Quick Search will show you the techniques that I talk, but none of them are drag and drop the approaches to the problem. They require JavaScript, good video types and a bunch of treatment.

  • Performance of the canvas

    I've been testing the performance of canvas on a very fast machine (quad core Xeon) by recent NVidia graphics cards, but I am unable to make the video full screen 1920 x 1080 with this configuration using the Web.

    It's simply too much hope for or am I missing some obvious performance enhancements?

    Here's the code I used:
    import java.nio.ByteBuffer;

    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.canvas.Canvas;
    import javafx.scene.image.PixelFormat;
    import javafx.scene.image.PixelWriter;
    import javafx.scene.image.WritablePixelFormat;
    import javafx.scene.layout.BorderPane;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import uk.co.caprica.vlcj.component.DirectMediaPlayerComponent;

    import com.sun.jna.Memory;
    import com.sun.jna.NativeLibrary;

    public class VLCDirectTest extends Application {

      public static void main(final String[] args) {
        Application.launch(args);
      }

      private DirectMediaPlayerComponent mp;

      @Override
      public void start(Stage primaryStage) throws Exception {
        NativeLibrary.addSearchPath("libvlc", "c:/program files (x86)/videolan/vlc");

        BorderPane borderPane = new BorderPane();
        final Canvas canvas = new Canvas(1920, 1080);
        borderPane.setCenter(canvas);
        System.out.println(">>> " + canvas.getGraphicsContext2D().getPixelWriter().getPixelFormat());
        Scene scene = new Scene(borderPane);
        final PixelWriter pixelWriter = canvas.getGraphicsContext2D().getPixelWriter();
        final WritablePixelFormat<ByteBuffer> byteBgraInstance = PixelFormat.getByteBgraInstance();

        mp = new DirectMediaPlayerComponent("RV32", 1920, 1080, 1920*4) {
          @Override
          public void display(Memory nativeBuffer) {
            ByteBuffer byteBuffer = nativeBuffer.getByteBuffer(0, nativeBuffer.size());
            pixelWriter.setPixels(0, 0, 1920, 1080, byteBgraInstance, byteBuffer, 1920*4);
          }
        };

        mp.getMediaPlayer().playMedia("L:\\test-movies\\2012.mkv");

        primaryStage.setScene(scene);
        primaryStage.show();
      }
    }
    It works, but it hickups and distorts a lot when it hickups. Lower the resolution of 1600 x 900 to say, it is almost smooth. Lowering still gets the expected 24 frames per second.

    Try to use IntBuffer, it's get-buffer possible bytes converted per pixel. I think if the pixel format and the width of the scan line corresponds,
    System.arraycopy (...) is used instead of a loop / conversion on each pixel. It should be enough to download full HD of 25 frames per second.

    There is also no need to use the node of the Web, you can use WritableImage.getImageWriter () .setPixels () with IntBuffer.
    It is possible that the canvas node distributes all the draw lots / pixel in the render thread events and copy the array / buffer again.
    I'd be curious what performance you get.

    And well, I didn't know you could so easily integrate VLC =)

    -----

    PS:
    Oh too bad for me that the WritableImage has a 'ByteBgraPre' (premultiplied) PixelFormat. Then
    imgWriter.setPixels (0, 0, w, h, PixelFormat.getByteBgraPreInstance (), pixels.asByteBuffer (), w * 4);
    was a little better than:
    imgWriter.setPixels (0, 0, w, h, PixelFormat.getByteBgraInstance (), pixels.asByteBuffer (), w * 4);
    For opaque, premultiplied images is not serious anyway. I managed to get 45 fps with upload of 1920 x 1200 pixels.

  • What is the right way to put across my work?

    I am currently a Subscriber CC and loves all the different programs and the features that come with it.  I need some advice on how to improve my work.  For example, I designed my business to 220 x 220 pixels logo.  When I export in jpeg format to download on my SharePoint team site and resize it, the quality decreases.  SharePoint recommend to download an image that is about 60 x 60 pixels.  Then... How can I take my work of 220 x 220 and make sure that when I export it, it is 60 x 60 pixels?  I'm sure it's something simple to do, but like many new aspiring artists, I'm looking for some sound advice from veteran artists.  I like even the recommendations to the tutorial sites that could help me understand what I'm looking for here.

    Thank you in advance for any advice of design that you can offer.

    Best regards

    Mike

    File > save for Web >

    You can increase quality to 80 for example, if you get compression artifiacts.

    Change from 220 to 60 in the size of the image, click on apply, then save.

    60 x 60 is not very big for a logo, simplifying your work so your image as if you were creating an icon would be considerations.

    You can look into if the site allows you to .gif. or .png.

    .gif - good to make crispy edges on the demarcation line

    PNG-24 - compression without loss - similar to, jpg quality 100

    .jpg - files of smaller size of lossy compression

  • drawGraphicsData animation...

    Hi all

    So, it's out of my comfort zone, but I'm trying to come up with a proof of concept for the bottom. [traceImage] literally does what it says, however, I am trying to achieve a function which should facilitate tracing: that is to say: I want to animate this line: curves.graphics.drawGraphicsData (gd); or find a way to make the line look like, it animates around the bitmap tracing.

    I really have no idea where to start, but I'll be scouring the interwebz all day for a preview, so if someone has knowledge on how to create the illusion that the curves. is animation, I would be extremely grateful.

    THX in advance,

    ~ Chipleh

    function traceImage(bitmap:Bitmap):void

    {

    While (imageContainer.numChildren > 0) {}

    imageContainer.removeChildAt (0);

    }

    var bm:Bitmap = bitmap;

    BM.visible = showBitmap;

    imageContainer.addChild (WB);

    curved var: Sprite = new Sprite();

    imageContainer.addChild (curves);

    var gd:Vector. < IGraphicsData > = new Vector. < IGraphicsData > ();

    var strokeFill:GraphicsSolidFill = new GraphicsSolidFill (0 x 008800, 1);

    GD.push (new GraphicsStroke (1, false, LineScaleMode.NONE, CapsStyle.ROUND, JointStyle.ROUND, 3, strokeFill));

    GD.push (new GraphicsSolidFill (0xffffff, 0.75));

    var potrace:POTrace = new POTrace();

    Potrace.backend = new GraphicsDataBackend (gd);

    Potrace.potrace_trace (bitmap. BitmapData);

    GD.push (new GraphicsEndFill());

    curves.graphics.drawGraphicsData (gd);

  • Use of the nuances in Illustrator

    Hi all

    A few questions about a project logo, I'm working on: my client wants a picture of a balloon hot air, in stone, in its logo. He wants the stone to appear as a stone wall, i.e. several small stones in place to the wall. I know this is ridiculously complicated to a logo, but I want to have a go at it and see if it works - otherwise, I'll encourage them to simplify.

    So, what I managed to do up to now, it is to place an image of a stone wall and use the trace function to convert into vectors. Then I dragged the image to the Swatches palette to create a new grade, after which I will fill in the part of the ball with the shade.

    My first question: this will always be a vector image using this process?

    My second question: is there a simpler way to achieve this?

    My third question: does anyone know of a resource where I could find a free, simple vector image of stones or rocks?

    Thanks in advance for any input provided.

    Sam

    First of all, tell your client: "Wow."_FITTED It is original. Never heard of Led Zepplin? Iron Butterfly? »

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    Not really ridiculously complicated. Your work as a logo design is to simplify a concept visually.

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    So, what I managed to do up to now, it is to place an image of a stone wall and use the trace function to convert into vectors.

    No way I'd do it for a logo. A good logo is brief, boiled down to its essence. not only in terms of design, but also by its construction. This makes it strong in all its possible uses. Automatic tracing is a last resort very amateur. No autotrace to create an original logo. Draw it correctly.

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    Then I did drag the image to the Swatches palette to create a new shade.

    If you dragged the results of autotrace to the Swatches palette, you just create a shade of reason.

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    .. .after I'll fill in the part of the ToolTip with the color chart.

    It will work if you go just for a very flat treatment, dimensionless (potentially annoying). In addition, however, you have specified Pierre, not brick. Who is the antithesis of a ground shade, who is just repeating the same graph.

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    My first question: this will always be a vector image using this process?

    If the content that you used to set the Swatch template is only the vector illustrations, then Yes, the shade of ground resulting will be only the vector illustrations. When you use the autotrace feature, you have the choice to keep the original raster image. But once again; It is not advisable anyway, and I don't know why you want a pattern for this shade.

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    My second question: is there a simpler way to achieve this?

    Do not "easy." Look for best practices. If you are going to draw an appropriate logo, you know how use a program like Illustrator. One of the possible ways to proceed would be:

    1 draw a pattern of rocks, laid out like a rock wall, as purely vector line. Store as a symbol.

    2 use the 3D effect to create the geometry of the surface of the ball (or one of its sections of gore). Map the symbol to the surface, using the invisible geometry option.

    3. If you use several objects, 'assemble' look like the finished ball.

    4. the result is NOT the final. It's just a 'sketch' to help you spread the compelling geometry. Use as something to draw manually. Do the work of art. Then make his ways as simple and clean as possible. (This involves knowing how to draw efficient, tidy paths.)

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

    My third question: does anyone know of a resource where I could find a free, simple vector image of stones or rocks?

    One of the main objectives of a logo is uniqueness. There is no way that your customer can really own its logo if it is built of clipart. A good logo has to be original.
