  For simple divisions of concentric circular rings like those of the OP, you can:

  (1) create the necessary concentric circles (including duplicates) and create complete rings,

  2) slide the Center with the tool in line where you want to cut and object > path > divide objects below.

  Before dividing, hide/lock parts only not to cut, like the ring to analyze it.

  This works in all versions.

  I use the VI 'Draw circle of RADIUS' draw a chart areas within a picture box. All its fine, except that the edges of the circle are not exactly smooth (see attached photo).

  I tried searching on the net but could not find anything very useful.

  Any ideas on how to make the edges nice and smooth?

  The circle is not smooth as no anti-aliasing is done with the image drawing screw to make it appear smooth, you will need to implement an anti-aliasing algorithm in the image control. This isn't something I've ever seen do. You can download MSChart from Microsoft, it's just a free .NET component and code that you can download. Thoric has done a very good example here https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-9946 you could start by drawing a pie chart for you.

  Whenever I try to watch Days of Our Lives on NBC, I get a gray circle with an exclamation point in the Center not long after the video starts maybe 10 minutes. Reasearch says it's called the gray circle of death. I uninstalled flash player and reinstalled a newer version. It still happens. I've updated the 8 GB RAM. My OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Help, please!

  The gray circle with the exclamation point, is an indicator that the application you are using is requiring more memory to continue to run what is available.  It is a failure of Flash Player safe keep your system to damage:

  Hi all

  I'm doing an image in the form of a circle with a border, sort of like image attached, but I need the black to be same boarder and ideally need to be a model for the circle and the border is the same size and I just added different pictures.

  Ive looked everywhere and can not find all the videos that do this.

  Any help would be really appreciated

  Hi Wayne, huge apologies I messed up the order, you did exactly what the instructions explained, please try once and you will get the correct results:

  1 - Create a new document

  2 - double click on the background in your layer stack to convert it to a normal layer

  3. create the guides as I explained in my first response, output transformation mode by pressing enter or ESC

  4 - Use the circular selection tool to draw your circle, hold the SHIFT key to constrain the proportions

  5 - wink the circle to the center using your guides

  6 - press Ctrl + Shift + J

  7 apply the effect of the race to the layer 1, adjust the size to your liking and click ok

  8 - set the fill of the Layer 1 to 0% as you did in your first response

  again, sorry to explain this wrong, please post if you have any problems.

  PS: If you save the results of your previous post, you can save until shortly:

  1 - right click Layer 0 > copy the layer style

  2 - right click on layer 1 > paste the layer style

  3 drag the layer above the layer 0 1

  4 whole layer of fill from 0 to 100%

  5 remove the fom effect race 0 layer by dragging it to the location of the pallet recyble layers

  I create parameters/variables programmatically in a module of code (c#) by passing the object to people of the country and calls the "NewSubProperty".

  I also tried SetValNumber with PropOption_InsertIfMissing.

  But it seems that they are only created in this instance of the sequence, because they left when the sequence is over. I really wanted to persist.

  I wanted to avoid creating the globals station dynamically like that, but maybe that's all I can do to make them last.

  Any ideas would be appreciated gratefully.

  As usual I show my naivety Flex with my questions.  So what's another...

  Is it possible to have variables that I put in a pop-up window (think connection), persist and be accessible even when popup is closed?

  For example, I have an application that uses a pop-up login window to control access to the application. The user provides the user name, password, and role. When the user is authenticated, the pop-up closes and a viewstack is displayed after the results of the role selected in the pop-up window.

  Everything works very well. Now, I want to display the user ID in the viewstack are the components. For example, I want to display a welcome message based on the user ID.  In ColdFusion, I would just use a session variable.  However, in my view, there is a way to call any variable in the application as long as the film is still running.

  I can't find a way to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

  You can set a variable in the application.

  The code on the shortcut menu:

  private var app:Object = mx.core.Application.application;

  app.myVar = myPopUpVarValue;

  Or you can send a custom event that contains the data as a property that you define in the custom event. This is the best way to do (app coupled lloosely) but in this case you must add the event listener to systemManager, not to the application, as popups are from a list of different display under systemManager.

  It's more work, so you can go with option 1 above (mx.core.Application.application), but long term you want to use custom events.

  Assuming that you have x, y for the center of the circle, and r for RADIUS.

  The method takes 3 points, C, P and Q.

  Center (x, y) value C.

  Offset P of the centre on the x axis (x + r, y).

  Off-set Q of the Center along the y-axis (x, y + r).

  All together it should look like this:

  g.drawEclipse (x, y, x + r, y, x, y + r, 0, 360);

  I'm trying to figure out how to make a circle divided in half with half black above and white below. I made a circle with a black line 37 pt, now I just need to do half white. Or I can go over this evil. Looks like it should be simple.

  You can do this with gradients on traits.

  

  Determine the race to have a white on black gradient (gradient by default)

  Click on the white gradient and enter 50 in the location field. Click on the black gradient and enter 50 in the location field.

  Change the field angle to what you want. 90 ° in my image so high down is black is white.

  As I'm fairly new to AppleScript, I don't know what is and what is not possible. My goal is to have a single script that works for 7 of our branches and about 1,500 people. The idea for the script is:

  1. ask the user some basic questions (like "which office are you?" and "What is your code print?" - already scripted.)

  2 something here to select the appropriate section of the code required for these specific functions. In other words, if user pics office 1 go to any section of the code that corresponds to the office 1 if 2 go 2, etc. - not scripted, I'm used to something like goto, but if I understand well there is no such thing with ACE

  3. based on the information in the point 1, if possible, download a file from the internet (a package) and install it. I guess I should wait or pop to draw their attention to the fact that they would need their password and wait they ended as a dialog box. I know that the password is not scriptable. - not scripted

  4. a procedure (for each location but very similar) script:

  4.1 find if printers have been installed (based on the content of the Printers & Scanners window and printer names). - ongoing

  4.1.1. If so, select and remove.

  4.1.2 if not, continue

  4.2 install printers for this office. - scripted.

  4.3. implement their code printing with a couple of presets - scripted

  Where I am stuck currently is:

  1 choice of the line of the scroll printers area contour & Scanners based on the name of the printer. I try this, but it does not work (for some reason any CRUDE HTML does not work):

  The man.  GoTo went in disgrace for 40 years!  No modern language has goto. GoTo lead unrestricted branching which resulted in convoluted code.  A fluidity in the code is desirable.
