Dreamweaver CC slow typing performance [terribly slow]

Hello

I updated my hollow last week Dreamweaver CC the cloud, and all of a sudden Dreamweaver feels slow and I can't even see the characters, I type in real time.

For a programmer, which need Dreamweaver on a daily basis, it's quite annoying.

The code is 8000 + lines long, but everything is OK before the update. I tried some small scripts (2000 + and + 5000 lines) and it has the same.

I tried an empty document and he hangs out a bit (even if there is no code) as well.

Please don't somoething on this subject, because it is a no go for my business. We have 4 other guys who know the same problem, and you mind, we pay all our monthly CC.

Hello

We are pleased to inform you that next update DW is made available today. This update was a fix for the problems of slow in DW strike please install & let us know your thoughts

The following bugs are fixed to improve the performance of Dreamweaver in Code view:

  • Typing to slow down gradually as the number of lines of code increases.
  • Cursor (IP) disappears while typing and navigate in Code view.
  • Dreamweaver crashes on a closing tag by entering
  • Change the shortcut by default CTRL + left ALT + LEFT and CTRL + RIGHT ALT + RIGHT and vice versa.
  • On Mac 10.9, Dreamweaver crashes while you select a file in the file dialog box to insert an Image.
  • Dreamweaver displays a syntax error, even if the PHP code is valid.

  • Dreamweaver CC slow 20141, crashes, loses the passwords... Should I return to a different version?

I used Dreamweaver since version 2 in 1998. These days I use it mainly for editing PHP / HTML / CSS. I don't use much visual editing features.

With each new version, Dreamweaver gets slower and less reliable. I'm at my wits end. This morning:

    1. When you use find: functionality of the whole of the Site locally on a site relatively important (about 10 000 pages) find it just stops about 20% through, takes up 100% of my CPU, blocks indefinitely. I have to force quit.
    2. At the opening of the files with a frame of considerable javascript (e.g. twitter bootstrap) opening files, bringing even the update file, saving files, is unbearably slow. I already disabled enable related files.
    3. For the first time, Dreamweaver is now lost my FTP passwords and I have to type them again from scratch. Might have to do with force - quit (see #1).

I am looking for a replacement at this stage code editor. So far, nothing is enough to the invoice. In the meantime, can anyone recommend a process to get Dreamweaver to be faster and more reliable? I am quite willing to downgrade, etc..

Thanks for the idea. I checked PHPStorm but is really not to my taste. I grew up with Dreamweaver (use it I think for 10 years and more) and I'm used to my workflow. Also, I pay for it, so I'd just like to work well. Right now, the performance degrades with each subsequent update.

I would like Adobe to ensure that editing basic HTML is still catchy and effective before he bloating with features WYSIWYG using perhaps only 5% of us.

Adobe support has been friendly with me on the phone. They gave me a link to download the previous version of Dreamweaver, and it's such a relief. I didn't have to go back to the CS6, just the previous version of 2014. HTML editing is reasonably fast again. It is slow to open a file sometimes, but at the very least, * economies * now is instant once more. In the last version, each backup took 4 + seconds, which makes back and forth between the browser and the bulky HTML.

It's the version that works fine for me once again:

  • Dreamweaver CS5 slows to unusable and unresponsive and small projects.

    Hello

    Version: CS5

    Operating system: Windows 7

    Processor 3 GHz Dual core

    RAM: 4 GB

I have recently developed a problem with my Dreamweaver CS5.

I have a very small project (currently 1 file html, 1 css file and some assets in folders), but this project makes Dreamweaver performance to a crawl. Any time click you on anything anyone, you must wait at least 10 seconds to answer him. It also displays does not not at the top of the page.

However, if you manage to navigate to another project, then he speeds right back up again! I tried to delete all the files in the user cache > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > DreamweaverCS5 > en_US, but this made no difference. I rebooted the computer too. Nothing.

Any ideas how to solve this problem, because it makes this unworkable project.

Thank you very much in advance for your help,.

    Anthony

    Hi Curtis,.

    Thanks for your response!

After trying what you suggested, I had initially a success full, everything worked fine. But when I moved my belongings he slowed to a grinding hault again. However, in doing so, I managed to find the cause of what he was doing so slow.

The background image for one of my divs was transparent .png file semi was 1px by 1px. I think that the Dreamweaver crashed trying to render the div because she felt return both copies of this pixel. I'll try to make an image in photoshop which is maybe 10px 10px or larger and tiles which instead. I hope that this will solve my problem.

I don't know if it's the same as you, but I thought it would be useful to know when the same issue.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Dreamweaver really slow when it is connected to the server and then hangs?

I traced my server site as a network drive and when I add as a site in Dreamweaver, it is REALLY slow and it was only in code view, split and design views are basically usable UN - it will also crash when I try to save a file.

Any help is massively appreciated - thank you,

    James

    Hello

I know that some people do not have this, but it is not recommended.

Everything depends on the latency of the network and "dead time", if the latency is too high, (perhaps by your page referencing external scripts (e.g. jQuery) then this can make the latency problem a very visible thing and slow Dw.) This is because your server has 'get' the file referenced externally before offering the file for you (by dry weight), even if your page shows the link, the server sends the entire file, if you can't "see" it.

Save the file, can (and is) occasionally hang a program like Dw, especially when the server attempts to send the file to you and saving the file on the server at the same time.

Using this type of editing is your decision.

  • CSS causing 2014 CC Dreamweaver run slow

As soon as you add even the simplest CSS as a background color, to the html file Dreamweaver CC 2014 (on a Mac under OS X 10.10) gets incredibly slow.

Each click results in a delay of 20 seconds. In this way, the program becomes totally useless in the production.

    Anyone with similar behavior?

    Hi all

We have released an update for Dreamweaver CC 2015. (version 7714)

Please open the creative cloud desktop application and update DW. This should fix the slowness problem that each of you have pointed out in this thread.

    Keep us informed!

    Thank you

  • Why is FTP of dreamweaver so slow!

Why is it so slow to open the view a Dreamweaver web site server-side? Thought it was my slow website or the connection. After the script has expired finally claiming that the server was taking too long, I tried to Transmit.

Guess what? She APPEARED just opened.

Perhaps Adobe could take close to convey at a glance. It is a great FTP Mac tool and is only $ 25.

And then, maybe not. They will probably just buy it and it swell with features, so it does not work either.

the title reminds me of ads... this game should be a lot faster... MOM... This internet connection is so SLOW!  Finally, my internet is fast... Finally... finallyfastdotcom.  garbage.

There are several reasons why you may get into trouble, and they are not related to dreamweaver.  Dreamweaver has permission to receive traffic through the firewall?  Are your using the correct connection type (active/passive)?

  • Performance of keystroke (slow typing) on Mac OS Mavericks

After installing Mac OS Mavericks, typing in Dreamweaver CC 13.1 performance is very slow, almost at the point of use.

I am aware of this discussion, however that discussions began before Mavericks is out, and there had been no acknowledgement on a part of Adobe what can be a problem more recent links only to the Mavericks. To further support this, I have no problems with the performance of keyboard input during a Mountain Lion.

So I'm hoping with this thread, I can get a confirmation that Adobe is to see the problem from the Mavericks and considering a fix in the next update - that I hope will come very, very soon, because as I said it's almost unusable now, and I saw in the other thread people are even cancel their subscriptions over this.

    Thank you

    Jeremy

    Hello Jeremy,.

The question slow typing seems to be similar to the issue considered by the thread below that I do not see any difference in the performance WRT typing mode code on Mac OS x 10.8 and 10.9: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1292120.

We are working on the fix for weak typing.

  • Incredibly slow to boot from Mavericks Dreamweaver

    Hello

Since the update to the Mavericks (10.9.0 13A Build 603), Dreamweaver CC (13.1 Build 6443) has become incredibly slow to start.

When I look at the newspaper, there is this line:

23/10/2013 17:47:52.426 Dreamweaver [3276]: note on CoreText performance: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using the name "Proxima Nova Semibold" and got fonts with PostScript "ProximaNova-Semibold" name For optimal performance, use only PostScript names when calling this API.

Repeat with each font that I installed on my system. for example:

23/10/2013 18:49:07.538 Dreamweaver [3629]: note on CoreText performance: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using the name 'Libyan SC' ordinary and got fonts with PostScript 'STLibian-SC-Regular' name For optimal performance, use only PostScript names when calling this API.

23/10/2013 18:49:07.574 Dreamweaver [3629]: note on CoreText performance: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using the name "PT Serif Caption" and got fonts with PostScript "PTSerif-Caption" name For optimal performance, use only PostScript names when calling this API.

23/10/2013 18:49:07.576 Dreamweaver [3629]: note on CoreText performance: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using the name "Helvetica Neue Medium Italic" and got fonts with PostScript "HelveticaNeue-MediumItalic" name For optimal performance, use only PostScript names when calling this API.

After that he went through all the fonts on my system finally, Dreamweaver will then start.  Has anyone another considering somewhere else or have a fix?

    Thank you

    Hello dean_siteglide,

We already have a bug connected to investigate performance related messages in the console for Dreamweaver.

We could not reproduce the problem of slowness. Launch of Dreamweaver works without any performance degrade compared to the 10.8 same with these messages in the console.  Can you please provide more information on how long it takes to load Dreamweaver and what hardware you are running 10.9 in.

  • Why dreamweaver starts to crash when typing code or save the same... ?

    Hello

When I start Dreamweaver, and I start typing the code I need to do for my site professionpower. In a few minutes, Dreamweaver becomes slow and begins to crash. Even if I type 3 or 4 words and he can minimum 20 seconds so that these words appear in the code. If I choose the option to auto-fill, same thing happens again. When I select any element of list and drag it to the code, it takes almost the same amount of time to make the code display on the screen. And until it is hanging, I can't do anything to another type.

I think it's sufficient detail to explain what is happening. Thank you to give me a valid solution for that I can work on my site professionpower.com correctly.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Fireworks Pop - Up Menu problem in Dreamweaver

Hi, I built a menu pop up/menu in Fireworks. This menu bar is for a site that I built using dreamweaver. I exported the menu bar in fireworks and then inserted in dreamweaver, but when I do that the button images are missing. Instead of images (on the categories of menu bar), there are gray boxes in the shape of the image (image/category button).

I've had this problem before and was able to remedy. I don't know what I was doing well. Nothing seems to work, since I'm not aware of how I fixed it in fact, I can't understand how to solve this problem again.

When I preview the file in fireworks, it looks good, and everything seems to work. When I insert the html file in dreamweaver, I have this problem with the images of menu bar. The strange thing is that it is only the button images. I do not have this site and I downloaded all the files but the pictures do not always show. The link to this site is www.pariswyattllansoart.com. (the site is still under construction, of course).

The menu bar works fine otherwise. The only problem is that the images at the top and more for the buttons on the menu bar do not show in dreamweaver or on the published site. Even the images that make up the rest of the menu bar show. If you check the site out, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Here is the code for the file:

Look at where the images are defined:

The "% 20" is the coded URL, space you have in your file name. No not use spaces in the names of files for the Web. Try to remove the spaces/%20s and see if that helps.

In addition, you will find that your code is much more readable and maintainable if you name your slices (and, therefore, your images) for what they are for (new-> news.gif, political-> policies.gif and so on). If you create the table and transfers from scratch in Dreamweaver, you will get these terrible style names, either. For example, class = "MMMIVStyleMMMenu0521181434_4" isn't a useful name. You probably don't have a distinct style for each button. If you train from scratch, you will have a much cleaner code.

Speaking of clean code, see this first line which is all GIFs for spacing? You don't even have that. Make sure that the table cells have the width appropriate for images and you can zap such useless things.

  • Need new battery for my Satellite A210-19 t

    Hello

Recently my battery has been performing terribly and now its to the point where it does not at all.

Where can I get a replacement battery as mine has gone dead?

And how much they tend to cost: s?
    --------
    My laptop:
    Satellite A210-19 t

    Thank you.

For your model laptop you need 6-cell batteries. You can use:
    PA3534U-1BRS
    PA3534U-1BAS

Put the part number in www.google.uk and you'll find enough shops where you can order online.
If you do not contact online store closest to Toshiba service provider. They can order battery for you by Toshiba directly.

    Good bye

  • Move error-41112 in Report Generation Toolkit

I have an application that executes tests, and then writes the data to Excel, at the end of each test. The problem is that the technicians use Excel to record what they did during their shift and if they are in the middle of editing a cell in Excel when a test completes, LabVIEW generates the 41112 error when you try to create the output file. Here is the description of the error:

"The uncommitted changes appear in an active cell of an Excel worksheet. Select the cell and press the Enter key to commit the changes. »

Just to be clear, this error occurs only when a cell is being edited as shown in the screenshot:

I write the code that will check for this error when you try to write the output file and if this is the case, stop the cell from being edited, and then try to use the data output. The problem I'm running into is that I can't find a way to order Excel to stop the cell from being edited (is press the ENTER key in Excel). There is a method to the Excel Application through ActiveX SendKeys, but I didn't success in the use of this method to send the key INPUT to Excel. Edit the active cell does not work either. Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem on a test installation and operators know that they cannot use Excel when a test is running. I tried a few things this weekend and realize that the vi I posted early will not work if someone is actively typing (it only works if a cell is enabled for editing, but there is no actual typing performed). Then, I modified a vi to create a new workbook and fill some cells in a new application window. I ran if you manually edit another workbook and given that the workbook was created in another window the application I have no error and the new workbook was created as expected.

I wrote a post in the exchange of ideas LabVIEW asking to add a Boolean "opened in the new instance" entry option to the new Report.vi. You can kudo this idea in the forum to exchange ideas of LabVIEW.
