  Hello, I have this problem. Have a page called code HTML also written index.html.In < a href = "index.html" > HOME < /a >
  When put the cursor on the 'HOME' link in Dreamweaver, it is also said, that this page is index.html.
  But when I check with the browser, the "HOME" link is called main.html, and of course, there is nothing in it! Why is this?

  Spent about 8 minutes looking for search tool I found a link checker. It showed that I had 3 broken links. It was the pages, which opened correctly, I don't know how they affected index.html.So comes to delete these 3 pages, created new ones. Now, everything's fine. Thank you for your help

  For now, you have a large number of errors that need to be addressed, about 90 altogether.

  While some browsers allow to better interpereting what you wanted to do than others (IE being the absolute worst), DW is a maniac, especially in Design view. It is still displayed incorrectly in DW after you fix all the problems, after return and we can take a closer look.

  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the use of ridicule of absolute positioning is the problem, not the Spry Menu.

  If you change the z-index in apDiv14 as later, it should help the menu to be at the top

  So, I did a few tutorials and start getting the hang of Dreamweaver. My problem is that my divs are implemented nationally in different browsers/resolutions using a percentage value, with the exception of my head. For some reason, he is a graduate in pixels, so every time I use different browsers or zoom when testing my site, my title gets stretched on the page and misaligned. I already placed an image there as a source and cannot find a way to prevent this misalignment. Should I remove the div tag and reinserting everything?

  I use a MacBook Pro with OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.4 and CS5. I use the template HTML 3 liquid column with header and footer.

• Yet another Visual problem Dreamweaver CS5

  I've been running CS5 DW for months. Last night while making a small local PHP page, DW locked up. I closed DW and now everytime I try to run it, I see 'Classic' to come (even this truncated dialog box) and then that's where the video ends. I can open a new page, etc, but the application window is never greater than that.

  Hi, NeverRight.

  I see you mentioned deleting the cache file, but have you tried to delete the entire User Configuration folder? (This is the same folder in which the file cache is stored.)

  Have you tried to remove your site definition (s) and then delete the file cache?

  It is also possible that Dreamweaver needs to connect to your server to test and somehow created this very large cache file.

  An easy way to clear your sites is to Save a backup to and then delete the following registry key:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Common\11

  (Assuming you are using CS5. CS5.5 would be 11.5.)

  After deleting the registry key, delete the cache file (or full User Configuration folder) and then restart Dreamweaver.

  If this does not help, then I suggest that you take the following steps:

  -Remove the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 \Adobe C:\Program Files (x 86) folder and then use your original installer to reinstall Dreamweaver. This will repair the installation. Don't forget to install the updates after the repair.

  -Install or re-install the latest graphics drivers for your system.

  -Create a new Windows user account, log out of your account, log in to the new account, and then try to run Dreamweaver.

  Use the HTML5 video tag. You will need to manually code if ' cuz CS5 has no menus for it.  No, they were introduced in DW to the creative cloud CS6 (ver 12.20).

• Dreamweaver CS5 does not

  I'm new to the forum so be gentle with me. I recently bought a template Monster template. It is a reagent JS animation you can see here. http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/45250.html. Installed all the updates from Microsoft, etc. With nothing else installed on the computer, I then installed CS5 Design Premium. The first file in Dreamweaver, I opened was the first index of the new model page. And low and here is exactly the same problem. A few clicks anywhere on any of the pages and it the DW is locked up in a State does not. Without giving up, I tried more than a few pages of the new model, and they're all the same. I still had a copy of the original model, so I tried one of those, and Yes you guessed it, exactly the same problem. Still not wanting to give it up, I took the models on other computers with Windows 7 Home Premium, just like mine, installed and... need CS5 I say, the same problem. The best I can say is that there is a glitch in the model that is not displayed on the side, or there is a major problem with CS5. At this point, I have no solution to the problem after researching it for the last 6 days and many hours, and try everything I could on my end. Does anyone know of settings or anything that should be changed in order to make a template like this work?  I tried with Live View and Live Code in and outside.  Disable JS, disable Plugins and external files, nothing works.  Help, please!

• FTP with CS5.5 problem on two different Mac?

  I have Dreamweaver CS5.5 on my iMac OSX10.7.5 this version that I use all the time to download on my Web Hosting site.

  I also have a Macbook with OSX 10.9.5 I use when I travel. I also loaded the same version of Dreamweaver, but I just can't put in place to communicate with my webhost. It is said

  "To view the file in your repository, you must set its Version control settings.

  I tried to do as well, but without success. I really need to be able to update my site when I'm traveling and I was unable to do so.

  I recently bought this new MacBook, I used to have an older MacBook with a Macromedia Dreamweaver version and had no problem.

  John, thanks for the suggestion, but it wasn't the problem, I finally after trying and errors it is resolved by removing the preferences and restarting my machine.

• Dreamweaver cs5 change copy and paste does not work

  Dreamweaver cs5 Edition copy and paste does not work,

  So Windows 7 SP1. I tried to rename the follder config and start again and it does not work.

  Problem is when I select a file from windows Explorer, then go to Dreamweaver, choose the destination folder and editing/paste is disable, reverse operation is the same, selecting file in dreamweaver, editing/copy, go to the folder of windows Explorer and paste doesn´t work too. Anyone have the solution? (Sorry my English)

  My copy of DW also works as you describe, I think it's just "the way that it is" in DW.

  To copy a file from another location on your computer to your site, copy it from the original location and paste it into the site folder within windows Explorer (do not use DW at all).

  You can also drag a file from your desktop to your files window in DW to make a copy.
