    Hello

You could just add links to each box, but a better solution would be to use svg for this. Unfortunately, it is easier for me to write for someone who does not know svg to do.

If you have Adobe Illustrator create your svg using this program, then it would be a case to add links manually to each box created in the svg code. SVG is an xml-based language and not a real image, even if this is how a browser will display the it.

  • How can I create an image map in Dreamweaver CC2015

I'm working in Dreamweaver CC2015 on a Mac. I can get the tools displayed in the Properties window when I'm in Code view.  I'm going to Split view and tools are still there, but I can't use them. I use the fluid grid.

There is no view of design in 2015 CC, so any suggestion on the design view does not work.

I also tried in the version of windows...

  • Is it possible to create a link to a pop-up of an image map in dreamweaver?

I am trying to use an image map as my home page. As it is a simple site, I want the links on the image plane to open in a small pop-up window 200 x 200 pixels.

This site uses javascript Cyber Studio shares. Cyba Studio was abandoned years ago.

If you code savy enough, you can extract the JavaScript site and the csactions and rebuild your own needs. It is not so difficult, but do not know your way around the code environment in Dreamweaver.

Give us another link site and I'll take a look to see if there there was nothing more to code day discount these pop_ups.

  • Problem with creating an image map

I struggled to create a simple image with Dreamweaver CC map.

I'm in Design view and have a simple flowchart that I would have on my site with each network diagram box with a link to an additional page with more depth on the subject content.

If I click on the image in live view, the properties toolbar does not show the part of image map (see first image).

    Capture1.PNG

However, if I click on the code from the image map controls appear (see the second image).

    Capture2.PNG

Now, behold, where the question is...

If I click on the rectangular selection tool in the map properties bar and then try to select the portion of the image to have a point of access/link; the part of the map of the toolbar disappears and returns to the appearance of the first view?

Therefore, I can't make a selection or create the HotSpot...?

Please help with advice you may have.

The site is responsive, and I decided to recreate this image as an SVG, so that it can scale - with a sensitive site, but I just want to experiment with the layout before generating the final graph.

Thanks for any help you may have!

Problem is that you are in LIVE view mode.  Switch to DESIGN view for working with image maps.

What happened to the use of SVG for your tree?

  • I see not my image map

I made a map image that I need to edit. For some reason when I take a direct view of the image disappears, and without being able to see it, I can't change the image plane. Is there a way to cs6 for this? Why can I not see the image?

http://granthoneymoon.com/faith_boosters.html is the site of the sample with the image map.

    Disable CSS display.

View > Style made > uncheck display Styles.  This will not effect Live View or preview in browsers.

You can also use a design-TIME Style sheet.

Using Dreamweaver | Use design-TIME style sheets

That said, rarely good image maps work in Responsive Web Designs because the coordinates of the point of access resize images.

  • Image Map Tool in properties is Gone?

Since the update to the latest version of Dreamweaver CC 20141 Release Build of 6947, I noticed when clicking on an image, the Image Map tools at the bottom left of the properties are missing. The only time wherever they show is if I open an existing HTML code, I created with maps on and click inside the code on the coding of the map view. It still me does not draw new cards on the image in design view. Where can I find the Image Map tool in this version?

The image map tools will not appear if you are in Live view mode. Please try changing your display in Design view using the drop-down list on the toolbar and see if get back you them.

  • mirror an image map?

Hi, is it possible to mirror an image map?

    Hello

Don't worry the write in English, because although I can speak and read German, my written German is not as good as your English writing.

There is no function in dreamweaver that will reflect the image coordinates map for you. The only method I can think of doing 'automatically', is to write a javascript function that copies the coordinates of image map in a table, the table opposite, then rewrote the coordinates in reverse order.

Depending on how complex is your image, or how many times this function would be used, would decide if it's worth the time and effort in writing the javascript code required.

(If possible), the simplest solution is to reverse the coordinates manually.

  • Combining the image maps and dropdowns

In Dreamweaver 5.5, I want to create a dropdomn from a graph into slices. There is a toolkit called the Inspector of tags that contains 3 tabs. The behavior of the tab with the + sign brings up a menu, where I'd be able select the pop-up Menu display - but it isn't here!
Where can I find a toll to create drop-down lists of image maps?

Image maps do not drop-down menus.  You would be better served with a list of CSS style menu.

    Example 1 (same style):

    Example 2 (multicolor)

  • Image maps in liquid layouts

    Hi all

I am new to Dreamweaver and try to create a Web site with a liquid layout.

I have a large image on my page with different links throughout the image (an image map).

Unfortunately, when I saw the page in my web browser the hotspots are passed to a different place on the image. When I change my layout for a fixed width page layout the hotspots are in the correct position.

It is a constant problem with the help of a liquid layout and is anyway it can be fixed?

    Thanks in advance.

An image map using coordinates that are related to a fixed-size image. If the image remains fixed in your liquid layout, there should be no problem. However, you cannot use a percentage for the image size. Once the image is resized, the card is no longer to the correct location.

  • Bug report: DW CS5.5 hangs every time on an Image Map

I write this instead of contact Adobe support. I went to my account to send a bug report to Adobe and I was told that I had to contact support by phone. It's pretty crappy. As an authorized user who owned less than three months, there is no direct way to tell you that your software is broken?

Here's the deal: I'm working on a landing page HTML with a single card attached to a picture frame. Literally, every time I make a change to the code near the (linked to the image map) image then click in the window of live preview, Dreamweaver CS5.5 accidents as a 70 on a bar of SOAP on the floor of the shower. It crashes hard. My only relief is to save the file before clicking in the live preview window. It's my only solution to the problem.

But I am amazed left that I can plant it each time on a map, flicking the code on the preview pane. We could think about version 11.5, a minor thing like it wouldn't form the supposed cream the cream of web design software.

  • Image map that links to the framework

For my site, I want to use the Image mapping to open new pages in the frame below the menu (as can be seen on the link below), however the site opens in a new window, even if I said dreamweaver that the target is box below (called "Content"). Anyone know why it does not work?

    http://portfolio.IO.utwente.nl/student/graatb/

You are aware of all the reasons would never use images, right?

Since DW did not load frames entirely for several versions, you need to add manually a NAME attribute for your destination in the frameset frame - then would make you the attribute target link to this NAME, you added, for example,.

In your case, you would change-

    on this subject.

    That should do it.

  • Image mapping, what should I use?

Is there a way to do image mapping in DW? What about PS CS4? Illustrator?

    Thank you

Use Dreamweaver to image maps.  Insert an image on your web page.  Click on the hotspot (rectangle, circle, or polygon) tools and click on & do drag the mouse on the image to define the bindable areas.

Never use a graphical application to generate the HTML code for you.  Graphics are great for creating and optimizing images for the web, but they suck Plumb as code generators.  DW or any other HTML editor is what you use to create web pages.
