  Dreamweaver CS3 is a very old program. 8 full behind versions. It is likely that the DW FTP is obsolete and does not support connections to the host.

• Dreamweaver had problems during the construction of the current menus.xml file menus

  So, after having trouble with my Photoshop scratch disk, I had to do an archive and install of my OS 10.6.1 and then reinstall the suite Adobe. then I had to run the repair of the license utility (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html).

  Now everything works but Dreamweaver, which is throwing the following error message:

  "Dreamweaver had problems during the construction of the current menus.xml file menus.

  If please remove the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak menus.xml.

  I tried. menus.bak is a directory, not a file. Even renaming the directory did not work.

  I saw this http://forums.Adobe.com/message/2188511#2188511

  but I do not have a directory/FlashPlayerTrust /, nor do I see what that has to do with Dreamweaver.

  I could not find a corresponding solution to this http://forums.Adobe.com/message/862339#862339 for Mac OS.

  Anyone have any ideas?

  I got this same error this morning when I tried to open Dreamweaver CS5 (any type of document have been found in the...). I'm on a PC. There was very little posts about it so I thought I'd post what worked for me. It must have been a day or something by Akamai.

  I went to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\configuration\DocumentTypes and open MMDocumentTypes.xml in Notepad ++. There were about 100 lines of NULL in the configuration of Akamai, so I deleted all the information between the   for Akamai and DW fine after that. Don't forget to backup before overwriting!

• Fundamental problem of Dreamweaver workspace

  I'm sure this is a common solution, but one I am unable to find a solution to.

  When I'm in Dreamweaver CS4, and I'm working on any page, I'm in the App Developer more selection at the top.

  I am able to see the files/assets/Snippets Panel, but I do not see the properties panel.

  When I change App Developer more classic view, the properties panel is displayed at the bottom (which has HTML and CSS properties), but the files/assets/Snippets Panel disappeared.

  I want to be able to view both at the same time. I know, I've closed probably something but for the life of me I can't figure out how to open upwards.

  Select in the main menu - window - then the panels as you wish. Dock panels to the location desired, the in the window menu select again 'available space work' - "new workspace".

• Personalized workspace problems

  Hello

  I'm working on a Mac trash, CC15 from Adobe 2013.

  I have a workspace personalized and several times a day, I have a problem any. When I try to right click to add a transition or right click on a track to display the properties and etc, this isn't working I can't right click. Otherwise if I was using a tool other than the selection tool it will be my tool, even when you select another tool. Has anyone concerned with that? When I change the default workspace it works fine but it does not solve my personal workspace unless I'm closing the first.

  This seems to be a problem with corrupt preferences.

  Please restore preferences for Dreamweaver as shown in the link below.

  Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS6, Dreamweaver CC

  (restoration of the DW preferences with erase all records of preferences on machine and Dreamweaver will launch as a first start however it will keep the data for your predefined sites)

  If the problem persists, please uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver and you should be all set. At the time of uninstall you will be prompted to keep or delete the preferences and you must select the option to delete the preferences.

  Please let me know if the problem persists.

  Is anyone know how to add (or activate) syntax highlighting for the types of files in other/other Dreamweaver cc? I have no problem in previous versions of Dreamweaver.

  The only element of FAQ/Support Adobe I can find is this:

  Connect with their shells and go to:

  cd /Users/Your_Admin_Username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC/en_US/Configuration
  

  Replace Your_Admin_Username with your admin username

  All files are located here. Extensions.txt and MMDocumentTypes.xml/Types Document

  Go and change with

  vi Extensions.txt
  

  or whatever you prefer.

• Dreamweaver SWF problem

  I am a relatively new user of Flash/Dreamweaver and can't seem to understand this one.

  I checked my root file and * think * all of them point to the correct files, but for some reason any my .swf will not load in any browser; at the local level.

  The .swf is not on its own (ie: to http://www.5enses.eu/Index_.swf), which is strange. I heard it could be a path problem, but I have no idea how to solve this problem.

    • Default (show all) fit the SWF movie to screen, keeping the proportions - but will leave a blank on both sides, if the proportions of your screen and the SWF format doesn't match - scales when the browser resizes
    • Borderless fit the film to the screen, but will bleed borders with the color of the scene you define in Flash and can crop the contents sometimes - scales when the browser resizes
    • Exact adjustment - content shows full to occupy full width & height of the screen and does not report l / h - can cause the stretching - scales when the browser resizes
    • No scale - is not resize the movie in full screen - container will be 100% width & height, but SWF shows size of exact degree - don't scale when the browser is resized

• Link to image with Dreamweaver CS4 problem?

  On my site, I have several images that have links pointing to other parts on my site. These works, no problem when I saw the site, but after that I have test links, images that had these links have not purple contours that really come into conflict with the design of my Web site. Users that will see if they click on my links and then return to the page? I use CS4 right now and recalled ever having this problem come when using MX. Thanks for the help.

  I am stuck on this one too - without realizing that Dreamweaver automatically the palces bind a border on each image - but I found the easiest way was to get my 'Properties' Panel on the bottom and enter 0 in the area of the "border". By having this Panel is open, you can see if you have accidentally applied all styles to the image, where it connects to, attributes of Image size and the name of the Image.

• Dreamweaver &amp; amp; Problem of the Administration to contribute

  I have a strange scenario for a client site that I inherited after that several other developers have participated over the past 2 years... I'm afraid that whoever created the Administration interface contribute is one where there is some legal problems involved, and there is no relationship left. If I contacted them, they would not cooperate. Sad but true.
  
  What I want to do is remove the previous link to Contribute and then reinstall a new Contribute site administration I can drive now. I use Dreamweaver MX 2004 (yet) and have no problem at all by accessing an FTP client site, but the second problem is that I have in fact a full access to the server hosting control panel, as is usually the case. So, if this will involve deleting specific files, I will need to know what to look for (if it is in my opinion) or what to order the contractor accommodation to find and remove.
  
  I currently have to update all the content on the existing, but that is not very effective site design and it is to my benefit to me to do the content updated daily to update that the client could easily manage themselves through Contribute. Whenever I first access the server via FTP from Dreamweaver to download new files, I am invited on activation of connectivity in Contribute. I have Contribute, but have no client Administration contribute key or details. Those who are forever lost, I'm afraid.
  
  I recently renewed its site, and it would be ideal to allow my client to use Contribute. However, I am stuck in a loop because there is no way to access the keys to Moose Contribute site. How can I find and remove the current Administration to contribute, then reinstall Contribute with the new Administration contribute to the site? If I try to manage the site via Dreamweaver (Manage Site - tab to contribute), once it checks through the cache, I get an error that says: "could not find a page at the URL specified site root." Please check the URL the site root. "I wonder if the previous developer may have actually deleted something just to be mean... they were pretty vile and lack of professionalism on many things.
  
  It is far from the typical scenario, I'm used to where I always have total control over the hosting environment, too. However, relative to a part of their site e-commerce site, when I had problems and knew what to ask, hosts sites have been quite reactive. I might be able to request specific files to delete if I could know only what to send it to.

  based on just the sentence above in your wordy post, if you want to remove a
  previous connection using brute force to contribute:

  Open a third-party FTP client and connect to the remote server.
  Look for a folder named _mm that contains a file named contribute.xml

  delete this file and folder.

  The site has more an installer of contribute, and no existing contribute users
  will be able to connect.

  These two would indicate that your site is not properly defined.
