I think it was a pilot error because I just do a blank Windows 8 install on my new SSHD (hybrid drive SSD). So I went to find the Driver for the WLAN Module.

  HP is automatically detected my laptop model number and gave me a list of drivers. I selected "Qualcomm Atheros QCA90000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows" under the list of Driver Network in the menu dropdown.

  In the middle of the installation of this driver, I was arrested and met a titled error message, "802.11a/b/g/n Wireless adapter device not found".   Thank you to attach screenshots, it makes it so much easier to see what's happening!  It is actually a known issue that can occur on some Windows Vista-based computers when a specific folder is not created when the operating system has been installed.  Fortunately, this is easily solved by following the steps in this Knowledge Base article.  Good luck with your project!

  When I attach an external hard drive that comes with its own enclosure as a Western Digital MyBook via the same cable USB 2.0 the following happens. Windows Explorer shows the new disks I and J. If I try to open the drive I have, I get the "Please insert a disc into drive I"message.» However, when I try to open the drive J I'm able to do it and see the files, in this case, the Western Digital MyBook. I can also open these files.

  I searched the Internet for solutions to this problem. In some cases, the problem can be solved by renaming the drive letter, but this does not work in my case.   I recently bought a 220 X with an i7 - 2640 m, Intel Graphics 3000, Centrino Advanced N-6205, running under Windows 7 64-bit. My wireless receiver is the Netgear PTV2000.
