Installing Java on windows xp... installation error message

I have a pc running windows xp. I have problems with Java. I tried to uninstall all versions of Java on my computer. I get an error message: this installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.  I had a friend who said they could fix and uninstalled the Java files on in the back. More files must be out there that has not fixed the problem. I get the same error code. Is that what I can do to get java run correctly? HELP please.

Click on the link below. Scroll down to the instructions section to locate download file appropriate for your system. Download and install the package.

Windows install 4.5 Redistributable

You should then be able to install Java. Let us know the results.

    Hello m.velentino,

Not sure if you are still having the error message isn't valid win32.applicaiton.

Get the error: not a valid 32-bit application can have several origins:
I have listed some of them below.

The file is corrupted, bad or missing.
-If the hard disk is damaged or hurt it cause work programs to fail, either because not all data can be read from the hard drive the program is damaged on the drive. Run scandisk and defrag on the hard disk to check for potential errors.
-If you run the program from a shortcut on the computer, verify that the program is still on the computer. In some cases if the program is no longer installed on the computer, you can get this error.

File is not designed for your version of Windows:
-If you try to run a program that is not designed for your version of Windows, you can get this error.
-Although many old programs designed to work in older versions of Windows will work with new versions of Windows, unfortunately, not all programs will not work.
-If the program is an MS-DOS program more former start program or Windows, you can get this error.
-If the program is designed for a 64-bit version of Windows and you are running in a 32-bit version of Windows, it will not work and generate this error.

File is a virus, worm or other malicious program file.
    -
This error can be generated by a file that is a virus, worm, Trojan horse or other type of malware file. Often, this will result because the antivirus installed on the computer will not allow the file to install or run. Try to analyze the file to check, it is not a virus or infected.
-If the file has been checked and is clean, it is always possible that the virus protection program or a another program installed on the computer is at the origin of questions during installation or execution of the program. Start the computer in Mode safe and try to run the program. start the computer in Mode safe will be that nothing is running in the background that could cause this problem.

    Hardware incompatibility.

-If you get this error during the installation of a program, it is also possible that the CD-ROM drive or the drive that you are installing the program from is not compatible with Windows or has drivers that are not compatible with Windows.
-Download the latest drivers for your CD player or other of the manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the equipment. (Microsoft does not pilot for other materials)

    Hello

The usual cause of the error C00D11BA is when the sound card drivers are not installed or outdated.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device, such as a map his or her controller.

Try right click on the actual Setup.exe and choosing the option "Run As Administrator"?  Perform, even if your user name is an administrator.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/929135

Have you tried to clean your Temp folder, you can do this by typing folder in the Start Menu RUN box.  This will open your Temp folder, there, you can remove all Windows will allow you to do.

It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view to navigate to the mentioned location of Temp.

This example may or may not work for you with your program, use the built-in Administrator account to perform the installation?

"It seems that the"Run as Administrator"command gives you administrative privileges only, and they are not enough to install Java (and OpenOffice, by association). To work around this problem, you must actually connect to the built-in administrator. Open a command prompt with admin rights by clicking Start, type cmd in the search/run box, hit CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER. At the prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

Then disconnect from your regular account and folder administrator integrated, where you might be able to install the program. When you are finished, open a session to your regular account and, for security reasons, disable the built-in using administrator account:

    «net user administrator / active: No.»

  • Windows 7 installation error code 0 x 80070017

OK so here is my story... My computer was working very slow so I thought after two years of hardcore use, it was time to restore it and went in the menu of windows 7 on the wiped installation disc the drive clean after saving my files. Now it will not install 7 so I put XP on it to see if it would help it so I could install 7 on it, but it will not install. Your help is appreciated...

    Original title: error code 0 x 80070017 Windows 7.

    Hi Shane,

Error 0 x 80070017 means that files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' files on the drive are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your hard drive during installation. This usually means the installation media has been corrupted or the player can not read the DVD.

I suggest to create a USB key with the installation files and then install it. You can see the video in the article how to create a USB installation media.
