Driver Conexant SmartAudio HD (CX20722) problems

Hello

I had some problems in recent weeks with my Conexant HD SmartAudio (CX20722) in my Dell Inspiron 13 7359.  In general, my sound works great after the occurrence of a full stop.  If I restart my computer after that, no sound speakers.  When I opened the Dell Audio utility in the taskbar and click on the button of the speaker, he SEEMS to play.  There is no error message whatsoever, but still no sound.  When I open the mixer Volume of Windows and click on the speaker levels, it seems that his is being read, but still nothing is heard.  There is never any error message.

This problem is surface when I installed a clean version of Windows 10 Pro in late August.  Since then, I've installed Windows 10 times with the same problems.  I tried the things:

1 using the different versions of driver Conexant - all drivers give the same results (tried all 4)

2. generic installation HD Audio Driver from Microsoft

3 limit memory available to 3072 - in fact I have not tried it, and WHY should I?  This isn't acceptable workaround.

4 disable Audio enhancements - no effect.

5 SFC/scannow - nothing happened.

6. change of Formats of Audio by default (sample rate/bit depths)

7. connecting headphones or speakers - no effect.

Yet once again, this problem resembles a driver problem Audio Conexant common which was deploying around internet since Windows forums 10 has been released, only mine seems not to have any problems after restarting Windows.  I leave feedback on Windows 10 comments Hub about this problem, but which tends to not much of help.  Does anyone have a practical solution for this?

Thanks for any help that can be provided!

Hello. A poster noted that the decommissioning of the revision of BIOS 01.06.00 A05 fixed.

  • Driver problem card his laptop (Conexant SmartAudio HD in Windows 7)

Sounds would be cut off from speakers during the all songs/games/video in window still detect outputs sound. It can be 'fixed' temporary and very briefly (few minutes) by plugging headphones in and out or taken AND oddly, switch between playback and recording tab under Sound.
Everything works well for the headphones. There is no problem hearing sounds using them.
Troubleshooting with audio playback can not detect any problem. No sign of failure of the drivers in Device Manager.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver with reboot and stops, even completely uninstall and switches of window on Audio device high definition. Interestingly, the temporary above "fixes" would not work for High Definition Audio device after that, the sounds get cut. He would remain at the stage of the detecting-sound-output-but-no-sound-from-speaker until I restart. So for now, I reinstalled Conexant SmartAudio HD.
I tried to restore to the point previous and also uninstall recently installed the software but the problem persists.
Would appreciate any thoughts on this problem.

same problem happens to me... but for some reason, when I have the laptop on a cooling sound support not stops more... I think it's just the material overheating so it needs a little more than a fan group

  • Conexant SmartAudio on Thinkpad X 200 (and other) = no table mixer? !!

On my old T43, I can control
    (1) what reading includes, in particular, if I want the microphone of entry to be read through speakers
    (2) what registration, including if I want everything that feeds the speakers to record.

But I can't input microphone playback through speakers now on X 200 with Conexant, / I can NOT save anything other than the flood in the microphone wave. It makes no sense to me. With built in camera/microphone/portability, I would hope an X 200 can be used for, for example, record the voices on a network conference / Skype call, just like a T43 or any other old books did.

  • Cannot install driver conexant on windows xp sp2

Hello i really need help guys recently i installed Windows XP SP2 on my Vostro 1015 and everytime i install the Conexant driver it fails with this error "Driver installation failed could not find the media device for this driver"

NOTE: in the past i used XP SP3 it installed fine but not in SP2 any solutions guys ?

There is no "Audio device" in Device Manager!

    1. install the Dell software system R28801 and restart.
    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/DriverDetails/product/Vostro-1015?driverId=NJ7GT&osCode=WW1&FILEID=2731099470&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=UT

2 install the Intel Chipset R225247 driver and restart.
    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/DriverDetails/product/Vostro-1015?driverId=CGTHY&osCode=WW1&FILEID=2731109570&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=cs

    3. install the Conexant R286583 audio driver
    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/DriverDetails/product/Vostro-1015?driverId=1W8CN&osCode=WW1&FILEID=2731099310&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=au

If it still won't install then you need to obtain the fix from Microsoft UAA. (This is for SP2 - it is included in SP3).

    1. open Windows Explorer, go to c:\dell\drivers\R286583 and delete the R286583 folder. It's the Conexant audio driver.
    2. go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111 and get the UAA patch. Install it and restart the computer. The patch is a patch that helps the SP2 to settle with HD audio.
3 again download driver Conexant R286583 or re-use the previous download if you always...
    4. after he finished self-extracting files and starts to install, cancel.
    5. open Device Manager and expand system down devices. Locate the PCI Device with one? next to him. Go to properties and select Update driver. Choose to manually find the driver but do not Windows to look for. Navigate to c:\dell\drivers\R286583\WDM, and then restart the laptop.

Windows should detect the Conexant hardware and install the driver. If the above does not work, then uninstall the UAA patch and follow all the steps again, except that this time, use the old hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835221 UAA that some people say works best for them.

    Hi Rohit,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum. I understand that your USB drive is having problems of compatibility with your computer, but I would like to learn more about the issue in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
    2. When do you get exactly the error message?
    3. Have you tried to connect to any other computer on this flash drives?
    4. Your USB key works on other computers or have you tried to connect to different USB ports on this computer?
    5. Is the pen drive getting detected in the case or you are able to access the drive folder in the window of the computer ?

The question may arise if the currently loaded USB driver has become unstable or damaged, or if your PC requires an update for problems that could conflict with a device USB and Windows. This can also occur if your USB controllers may have become unstable or corrupt. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Please try the fixit (s) provided below which will help you solve common problems associated with devices and USB ports.

If method 1 does not work, try Method 2.

    Method 2:

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.

    1. Open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click system and security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the list of the categories of equipment, locate and expand Bus USB controllers.
    3. Right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    4. Restart the computer and let the USB controllers get reinstalled.

Plug in the removable USB device and test to make sure that the problem is solved.

If the problem persists, go to method 3.

    Method 3:

This method will install the latest drivers from device to your USB device.

    1. Click the Start button, type Windows Update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the results pane.
    2. Click find updates. When the scan finished, click optional review updates.
    3. Click the check box next to the update, and then click install updates.
    4. If you are prompted, read the license agreement, then click I agree.
    5. Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install updates.
    6. If you are prompted, restart your computer.

  • x 200 tablet, still have problems with smartaudio after driver conexant last updated.

where the devil file complaint or tech support, whenever I call it, there are people who do not know jack whatever it is.

I had an x 200 tablet, was seen problem with the beams stupid mistake that keep popping up.  then I updated my drivers conexant coming out who was supposed to address this problem. But it doesn't, it creates more problem.

Now whenever it starts, an error with smartaudio.   so, it leaves me with 2 choices, or I used the former driver who does not mistake smartaudio. but the beam forming erro. or I use the new driver that will give me the error smartaudio.

anyone has the solution let me know please.

running, updated vista business sp2.  and Yes, I've updated all the drivers that I find unnecessary and causes more problems for me.  as the update of the thinkvantage system that made it useless until I have some file and add vista business sp2 in it.

Yay what's up, I answer to my own problem tech.  I hope this can help some of you.  CUS we are ourselves since lenovo cannot help us with our problems. they should just all the fire so that they can sell their products cheaper. for the ppl who work there are unnecessary.

"OK for people with the beam forming the problem, just go to c:\program Conexant delete folder there, it's to say" TOMY.

reason for this is because it won't let you delete the folder of conexant all at once.  and remove it to ensure that the new drivers to install correctly.

After that, simply download and install the latest drivers from the website of lenovo conexant.   Now you should get only the smartaudio error when you switch to Tablet mode or laptop.

just go to the c:\program files\CONEXANT\SAII directory, rename the smartaudio and SAIIcpl to something else.  I just added a _ in front of her.  This way, whenever you change the mode it will not create the smartaudio error. and you can rename it back later if you wish, or if someone comes up with a better solution

now, you might ask, how can we change the parameters for the smartaudio.

If you really want to set that just go to c:\swtools\drivers\audioc\smaudio\smaudio, there is an icon that is smaudio.exe you can double click and run it to change the settings.

After that, you should not get the beam forming or smartaudio error.

Lenovo has probably screwed up on some instructions, which does not run programs properly maybe that happens to people with vista sp2?

CUS, I noticed that when I upgraded to sp2, the thinkvantage system update will not work until we edit some file and add vista sp2 in it.  You can search the solution on this forum if you have this problem.

    Thanks and good luck

just need to do an update, while this method a bit worked, sometimes when I start I always get the beam forming the error.  It's just that it does more every time I switch between Tablet and computer laptop mode, which is better than nothing for now.

  • Driver Conexant HD Audio - Satellite P100 PSPA3C Win XP problem

    I have a Satellite P100 PSPA3C MA202C.

I found on the Web from Toshiba site a new Conexant HD Audio 3.44.0.0 driver version for my laptop (Windows XP, 3 GB of RAM)
and had the bad idea to install it. After installation, the sound is terrible Crackle and interruptions.
including the sound of Windows boot at startup, when you first open during playback and audio files.
When a UC program gets started.
    It's never happened before.

I acknowledge that during installation, I received a message from the system
warning that this driver is not signed as having managed the "Windows logo test '.

However, the same situation stands for previous versions of site Web from Toshiba, like 3.21.0.52, who gave the same problems.
Then I wanted to let Windows choose the right driver, but it turns
"Microsoft function driver UAA for HD Audio Conexant Waikiki" which provides its own, but has no audio in (microphone).

So now I'm stuck with the crackling and interruptions of Conexant, or with Waikiki have no microphone.

It's strange, because the initial configuration worked well. Unfortunately, I do not know how to restore the original configuration,
It is not written anywhere, that the system cannot understand itself and of the restoration came with the computer dvd
only allow for a radical total restoration of the status of the day of sale, which is not acceptable.

    What a disappointing experience!

    Can someone help, please?

    Hello!

S DVD supplied with the computer are called recovery disks and it's the way to return to the factory settings.
The disc contains the Windows preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

I know it's strange, but in my opinion, there is no other way to solve this problem. So back up your data first HARD drive will be completely formatted.

    Good bye

  • ProBook G3 450: Impossible to update driver Conexant HD Audio

I tried to update the Conexant HD Audio Driver on my ProBook 450 G3 (Win7 Pro 64 - bit) whenever HP Support Assistant offers the update. The last proposed update was SP74946 (10.0.877.61 Q5). The update seems to be successful and I am prompted to restart. After restarting, the older version of the driver (8.65.133.0) is still installed and HP Support Assistant continues to offer the update. My system is up to date with all of the other horses and Windows Update installed.

    Hello

    You are welcome

This looking a little further, I think I can see what is the problem (I do not work for HP, so you can check this with them).

Anyway, looking at the cva for this update on the link below (under the [General] section) the pilot that version is listed by Conexant as 10.0.877.61, however this is assigned the seller Version 8.65.133.0_9.0.69.53 - 2.109.0.0 which is what you have already installed.

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp74501-75000/sp74946.CVA

So what I think happens is that HPSA sees 10.0.877.61 as a newer version, but it installs with the seller (HP) Version number 8.65.133.0 driver - and so the cycle continues.

In addition, when you uncompress the SP74946 Installer, the worm text document lists the version of the driver as 8.65.133.0_9.0.69.53 - 2.109.0.0

    Kind regards

    Hello

Have you tried to remove the sound from the device manager card, first of all?
If this is not the case, to do this.
Remove it, and then restart the laptop.
After restarting again, windows should recognize the sound card and eventually he would ask for the driver.
Then you could point to the new driver downloaded files and could complete the installation.

    See you soon
