  Any chance someone would know where Acer hides their legacy drivers. I have searched high and low for bluetooth driver for my Aspire 1410 chronology and nada. The acer download page returns a not found error when you select him aspire 1410. WIDCOMM drivers do not work. Broadcom does not recognize the chip and does not even allow the download of the driver. • Updates to driver for aspire Z1620

  I'm trying to make sure that all drivers are up to date via the ACER Support, and when I get the SN or SNID for unity above that support identified incorrectly as a updated Windows 8 OS from Windows 7.  Bought April 2012 the device provided with Windows 7 and received the free Windows Update August 10, 2015. I guess I should fix this in the menu drop-down and select the original real, Windows 7 OS. When I do the available drivers look more logical, for example to identify a driver with the correct LAN provider, RALINK. Although there is an update for later driver for an ACER LAN brand.

  Any thoughts, people, on which way to go here?

  Stay with windows downloaded the drivers (they are updated and windows will download Acer official drivers too), no need to search for new drivers and do not install drivers windows 7.

  I recently bought a v3-772 w / 32 GB of ram to use professional (I'm a c# developer). My company required me to install windows 8.1 Professional x 64, which is what I did. The machine works great, apart from two drivers:

  1 SM Bus controller

  2. device high definition audio

  Sound works, but when I connect the laptop to my tv via HDMI, there is no sound coming from the TV, but it all happens through the internal Laptop speakers.

  Please note that I am VERY tech-savvy, I tried the drivers supplied by the two victory 8, 8.1 (realtek) to win, but to no avail.

  Can someone explain to me where to find drivers for these two?

  I found a solution for the audio driver: installation of a 'new' version of the graphics driver corrected it (integration intel 4600 a)-given that it manages the HDMI one.

  I also found a solution for the SM Bus controller earlier: install the latest drivers from Intel chipset of intel (INF Update utility).

  Honestly, I do not understand why Acer offers older drivers on their website.

  Anyway - I'm happy - I hope I can help others with it.

I turned my computer off last night and when I turned it on this morning, and I want to see video DVDs and see not detected no dvd drive, I restart. I tried to uninstall, re install driver and then restarting and nothing. Quite simply, I restarted the computer. Nothing. I tried to clean my registry with 2 different cleaners. I uninstalled the drive, rebooted and still nothing. I went into the thing from my computer and nothing showed up. The icon of the disk was not in there yet. Help, please. Oh and the drive opens and looks like it is working but nothing appears on the screen. but I can open my dvd rom

  I looked at previous posts and cannot find answers to the problem I have.

  I have a new HP Touchsmart Tx2 laptop, running Vista Home Premium 64 with memory 4gm. I just bought a HP w2558hc monitor. Attached to the Tx2 via DVI and USB provided. Oiginally installed ok with drivers and the recognition of the monitor.

  Updon last updates from HP and MS it won't recognize the monitor. I reloaded the drivers but the Tx2 will not find drivers w2558hc so he sees it as a generic monitor. When pilot reloading I "Access denied" sometimes but not other times.

  I spent hours on the phone with HP support yesterday. We me finally to run the DRVFix tool - which I did. I reloaded the drivers w2558hc OK, but the Device Manager and HP My Display still will not recognize the monitor - only as a generic monitor.

  Would appreciate any help / advice / tips! Really frustrated with the support of HP because they can't fix it. Thank you.

  Thank you very much for your answer. I tried the UAC road without success. In fact, I tried the driver specific monitor HP to take advantage of the many features included with it. I solved the problem and the solution follows.

  My solution:

  Got a copy of a document from HP called: HP w2558hc LCD Monitor driver. Follow the directions for my Vista Home Premium 64 environment and goes to the manual (INF and ICM) section driver installation... then the section Microsoft Vista Home and business editions. Followed the instructions step by step and low and here is it worked.

  It was after hours on the phone with two different HP support groups. Sure am glad I got softtware HP work CORRECTLY with the HP hardware!

  Once more, appreciate your help and your advice.

  First post on this forum

  I'm decided to sell the 2170p my gf and proceeded to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit last night and then used other software to attempt to clean the SSD drive.

  Unfortunately, once this process is finished, I noticed that there are a lot of drivers who are no longer present. (Serial Bus Controller, controller of network among others).  I have downloaded the pack of HP driver that would not install correctly and when in Device Manager, the drivers section would not allow me to update or provide details that the drivers are really needed. (They all had an exclamation point). I also noticed that all the HP software standard that appears usually with the laptop disappeared.

  Is there a documented process to get back it, so it is in a similar State to the way it was originally purchased?

  Update: I found a way to solve all my problems

  By pressing the escape of the splash screen to enter the start menu, and then using F11 to recover HP. Once that windows has been installed again, it's back to the factory settings.

  It is possible only after the installation of the MS Updates that the audio driver is blocked by a load of your system and no sound can be heard.

  About 200 years when I was in high school, I used to read the giant Computer shopper magazine, and I remember a small business called Acer. I decided that they had been around for a long time and I would give them a shot.

  It was my first purchase of laptop that wasn't a Thinkpad. I regret already and probably never buy another non-ThinkPad again (even if they are also went cheaper digustingly on their range of products).

  That said, I bought for my son as a gaming computer so I expected to be sufficient. Anyway, the E5 - 772 g I got my son for about $600 is not a DVD player. I chatted with the Acer support and low and behold, they couldn't give me a reference number or a URL where I could find the spare parts. It is not in all the textbooks, and they gave me a number to call the company of parts randomly who had a real answering machine recording of calls.

  Nary a site with a part of player optical for the E5-772 except some pretty weak looking site in the United Kingdom and even prayers to Google not provided virtually no link.

  (1) what they do compatible readers and what are the numbers?

  (2) why the Acer support is so useless?
