Driver power state failure BSOD in Windows 7 Professional (64 bit)

The dump for this stop file is on OneDrive at: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=26431A6C4389BE38%21525.

It is the third time I've encountered this problem on this computer, an HP Omni 200, Intel Core I3, 6 GB ram 64 bit.

I would appreciate help with this problem.

Which works perfectly, thanks!

The attached file of the DMP is to bug checking DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) .

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

If we run one! IRP on the 4th parameter of the bug check (IRP address blocked), we get the following:

> [16, 2] e1 0 fffffa800bf68260 fffff80002c63710-fffffa800c0de240 00000000 success error cancel pending
\Driver\USBAAPL64 nt! IopUnloadSafeCompletion

^^ usbaapl64.sys = device driver Mobile USB Apple iPod/iPhone.

Look for an update - http://www.apple.com/downloads/

If this is not available, I would recommend uninstalling the software + disconnect and reconnect does not your iPod or iPhone for a few days. If accident stops, that's the problem.

Kind regards

  • Driver power state failure BSOD out of mode ensures

    Hey there,

So, every time I take my laptop out of fashion 'sleep', it crashes and gives me a BSOD with the message DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.  In addition, it takes 10 times the amount of time it takes to start up again later.  This problem started to happen a few months ago and I just accepted that I was not using my laptop all that often, but now since I'm going back to school, I'll use it more so I really want to get this problem fixed because it is really annoying.  I even tried to reset to factory settings in a desperate attempt to fix, but the problem persists.  You guys could help me understand what I need to do?

First thing you need to do is update to win 8.1 store Ms.  After that, you need to remove the current iAstor.sys driver and install the latest driver available.  Yours is 2012.

  • W3 - 810 driver Power State failure error (BSOD)

I have a W3-810 Iconia I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. During a recent update to the 2016 office, I had a blue screen and an error message that a failure of State driver had taken place and the computer needed to restart. After a few moments, the computer restarted and I was able to complete the installation of Office 2016. I remember getting this error during upgrade to Windows 10. Recently, while watching a YouTube video, the Tablet locked up and I got the blue screen again, with the same "Driver Power State Failure" error again. I check the Device Manager and noticed that in the "system devices" all of the "Intel platform dynamics and thermal framework (DPTF)" associates pilots had yellow flags indicating that the drivers did not work properly. When I tried to update the drivers I get a message that the latest drivers are installed.

Someone at - it recommendations to solve this problem? Should I uninstalled all the drivers DPTF and reinstall? Thank you.

Update: I drove all DPTF drivers in back to version 6.2.9200.30457 Device Manager and then restarted the computer. I tested the computer to see if I could cause a BSOD pilot State failure occurred earlier today and it does not happen again. I hope that this solves the problem. Thank you.

I've identified the problem, but have unfortunately no solution. The problem is indeed the dirver NETw5s64.sys.

See--> http://communities.intel.com/thread/10055 for additonal discussion of the problem that intel must update this driver.

If I connect with a wired connection, everything works as it should. I put the system to sleep and wake up as it should work. However, if I connect using wireless, after using it for some time, the computer will not sleep. The screen is blank, the disk activity continues for some time and finally the system come to STOP 9F.

This and other aging with this driver and discussed in the above link!

  • 8.1 - BSOD driver Power State failure of Windows

    Hello

a few days earlier, he had appeared a BSOD with error message - DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE - for Windows 8.1 to start, then Windows has restarted.
In the register of events, I found - event 41; Kernel-Power.

    What should I do?

    Thank you

For the most part the BSOD will appear due to serious shortcomings in the system...
Malfunction of the system can be caused by an incompatible or software driver preinstalled...
Antivirus / antispware one program or security can also cause these problems.

Don't forget to check in the Windows updates to see if a driver has been updated before this happen.
But also this problem might also be caused by a loose card or cable and even a weak power supply.

As you can see, it is difficult to say why the BSOD appears, but from my point of view of the few there are an easy way to solve the problem... the laptop back to factory... If BSOD would appear using laptop costs recovered, and then hardware problem of recovery could be the reason for this dysfunction.

  • (Windows 8 64-bit) driver power state failure

    Hello

I met a BSoD after I moved my rig running in another case. She refused to pass the W8 splash screen, until I fiddled with the boot order of my hard drives and I could connect po 30 seconds after the connection however it blue screened a statement "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I remember seeing a few months but only once or twice. I'd appreciate any help that may prevent my rig to stop or refusing to start up like this. I've linked some files I think can be useful on my drive. Please tell me if you need additional files to the source of my problem.
    Thank you very much

    MC

This phenomenon was related to atapi.sys from Microsoft's IDE/ATAPI Port driver.  Could be wiring, HD or driver.  Given that you have physically moved that I would suspect that something is not sitting correctly.

You can try to boot into safe mode to run a file system check, or you can run it from a CMD window

Run a check of the filesystem (CFS)

    Best instructions are here

    Open a cmd high window

(Go to start > type CMD > right click and run as administrator)
    Type SFC/scannow
You may need to run this upward to 3 times.
Let us know the results at the end

If the files are found that can not be fixed, run this command from an elevated command prompt
    DISM / Online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

  • T430s - BSOD (of driver power state failure). Please help identify the driver

I meet regularly with BSOD on my T430s / Win7 when switching mode standby (Fn + F4). The error message is driver_power_state_failure. This happens almost every day. Driving me crazy!

I know it's a common problem (I also had with a former T500, but not on T420). After Googling around, I discovered WinDBG and how to identify the faulty driver that is causing the problem.

However, I could not install the tool - or debuggers package (referenced on windbg.org), nor the tool set + a .NET framework from the Microsoft Web site. The old guard quit the installer with no message (although the Remove Programs dialog shows the thing installed, it seems to be no program to run), the latter does install without no diagnosis (installation only, tried the debugging tools tried to install the complete package - same result).

So, can someone please help to analyze the memory dump and to identify the faulty driver? What file is needed for this - the memory full image (from folder/Windows /, ~ 500 MB in size) or the minidump file (from/Windows Minidump file / / /, ~ 700 KB in size)? Or both?

Help a fellow fan of ThinkPad enjoy his work tool

Several days after, I don't get BSOD more, even though I kept pushing the laptop "standby mode" on a regular basis, with or without food. Since already BSOD passed almost every day (to, like, try every 3rd or 4th go to sleep) and now there is none, I would try and call this problem is "solved".

Let's see if just once he returns

I'm not really sure what has helped exactly - I've only updated (a little) drivers manually (after Lenovo update system running with only a few boxes checked). These pilots were audio, video and network ones. USB 3.0 driver has been updated before, but that alone did not effect.

I've also updated the BIOS via the Lenovo system update (strange, but it worked, unlike my manual attempt via downdloading non-bootable-CD version of the Lenovo Web site).

Hope this helps other people are having the same problem.
