  The problem is I installed everything on the website (all drivers) and even some laptop computer functions do not work as they lack their software...

  for example: keybored, the Fn key + does not work if I wanted to turn down the brightness or go to sleep mode... etc

  Some drivers programe are weird when I start to install as it normally goes at the beginning (the pop up window then extract...) after clicking next as... install the window suddenly disappears and somehow the programe is installed with no message of finishing or something and leaves you confused, is it finished? successfully?   It makes me wonder if the drivers software support really vista... If yes why is - it act like this and why some software are missing form the support site?

  In order for me to post the links to wireless and bluetooth drivers, follow these steps...

  Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.

  After a clean install, I lost my beautiful environment of Bluetooth on my laptop Sony vgn-bx51-vn in 2005 (a laptop that is like finding teeth of chicken on the Sony site).  I did a smart thing to keep the "Toshiba" Bluetooth file when I finally removed the windows.old folder after the re-installation.  Only smart because it allowed me to compare models with a pilot of 'original' newly downloaded and files utility (including msi files) Sony - the result was that there are a lot of files that is different.

  They newly installed drivers grumble horribly subject knowing incompatabilities with Win 7 (which is just a skin on top of Vista... or so I thought) and refuse to carry you.  They subsequently take you to Toshiba where you end by abandon the search for any useful help in spite of being a good faith user - no?

  Cut to the Chase.  Can someone please help to get the drivers/utilities on my Sony notebook by hook or crook.  NB. I hope just to aspire to the use of Bluetooth for something useful someday but am also irritated by the cul-de-sac which is software policy.

  I had not used my old laptop Alienware M17x R4 for some time and there were a bunch of junk on it I didn't need and the computer is slow, and it could be a virus on it. So, I decided to do a cleaning of the computer one night later. I read a guide on how to do it and I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium with save or save the old unwanted files. When asked which driver to install Windows on, the guide was ambiguous and a mixture of fatigue and dyslexia led me to remove all the drives except the DATAPART (c :)) driver which has 29.8 GB of storage. I now have those 29.8 GB of storage and not the 1 TB driver that is on this computer. All graphics and video cards have been lost and I can't even connect to the WiFi on the PC.

  1 you seem to have misspelled readers and/or drivers as long as it is not possible to be completely sure what happened & what is the current situation.  Check and correct your post so that people can help you better.

  2. If you have installed Windows 7 on a disk of 29 / GB in your computer then "partition" has probably stored files Dell Factory Image Restore [DFIR].  This would explain why, you can't run now that the easy, but your comment, I have no storage is meaningless to me.

  • You could have supported DFIR to a USB port, but not many people take this precaution - do you have?
  • You may have a Windows 7 reinstall drive provided by Dell with your computer - do you?
  • What did you use to reinstall Windows 7?

  3 I don't know if your computer has multiple hard drives in it, or if a single hard drive has been "compartmentalised" into separate sections so that each behaves as if it were a separate disk drive.  It is essential to know because you or another

  need to remove the installation of Windows 7 and then reinstall on a larger drive,

  or

  You must increase the size of the partition in the partition you installed Windows 7 on [to, say, 100GB].  Then you will be able to partition off the power then format the rest of the hard disk as a data reader to separate your own operating system data files [this is a very useful to have Setup].

  Instructions for making these two things are radically different.  Whatever it is, you will need a good amount of computer skills to perform the task, and you might be better to ask someone else to do it for you.  You will need to use a partitioning tool [the built-in tool is called disk management , but many people prefer third-party tools such as Easeus Partition Manager].  The work is actually pretty easy if you know what do everyone you know who did this just before time would be able to do so or stand over your shoulder and will guide you.

  4 on the hardware drivers - Dell has all the drivers you need.  Just go to their website and enter the 'Dell Service number' that you will find on a label somewhere on your computer and in your purchase documentation.  Reference Dell then you can download all the latest drivers for your computer [not only for your computer model but specifically for your computer].  Each update Dell will have a page of instructions, so we'll tell you how to install.  While you are there, find the Dell support Web page called Driver install so that the desktop computers and laptops because the sequence of pilot facilities is very important.
