  Hi, I have a new Pavilion Dv6-1030US, and unfortunately it comes with this pathetic frankenstein called "VISTA".

  So, after creating my set of rescue disks, I will proceed to repartition/format the hard drive and install 32 bit Win XP Pro (Yes, I know he manages only the 3.2gigs of ram, but I don't like).

  But to do that I have to get the XP drivers for the first laptop, and I can not find them anywhere!

  I just bought a HP pavilion touchsmart n056ea 14 supplied with windows 8. I use it for work and they gave me a windows 7 pro 64 bit OS to use instead that it works better with their systems. I formatted the drive and installed the win7 OS now but the drivers online are only for windows 8. Can someone please help me to the source of some drivers for windows 7.   I don't think it's asking you where to install, it can ask for a place to decompress the files, so just say ok the location by default, he suggests.   Everything you need to know is the hardware ID's for the missing devices, google and you will normally find the answer to what drivers you need.

  You can also google how to find the ID of the hardware for a device.

  For the 3xBSD you need this driver...

  I had read the guide to upgrade windows 7 dv6000 to find out if there are suggestions that are of help to you.

  I have a dv6000 model newer than yours I gave suite (dv6810us) with the nvidia chipset and amd processor, and he ran W7 x 64 very well.  No problem at all.  That one had the Nvidia 7150 graphics.

  Just using the support page Vista drivers worked for me.

  The only drivers W7 I used were the quick launch buttons driver that I posted for you and the software of wireless assistant W7 (required only if you want to turn the cards wireless and bluetooth on and off separately).

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p102tu and problems with NVIDIA drivers. Your system uses only the Intel driver high definition (HD). Here is the download if you needsp68117.exe. I uninstall Nvidia and reboot the laptop.

  The graphics card has your PC cannot run all the features of W7.

  I need original drivers for Pavilion a300n (hw bom: o(or 0) Nb121110, BOM SW: NA30, ABA-System # DM 169 a, Serial # {Private Information Removed}). Running Winndows XP SP2. (Now SP3 won't load right.) I recorded this computer and do the backup CD, but all is lost over time. I found the original key of Windows so I could reinstall from an another Win XP Pro (SP2) STV CD not all the drivers I need were provided, in particular noise and the ethernet drivers.   The truth is, you have found the 'end of life' to your computer.  It's like a model 'A' Ford compared to a Fararri.  If you have not used a newer computer, you can't even tell the difference.
