  Hi, I have a new Pavilion Dv6-1030US, and unfortunately it comes with this pathetic frankenstein called "VISTA".

  So, after creating my set of rescue disks, I will proceed to repartition/format the hard drive and install 32 bit Win XP Pro (Yes, I know he manages only the 3.2gigs of ram, but I don't like).

  But to do that I have to get the XP drivers for the first laptop, and I can not find them anywhere!

  So P L E A S E HP guys, I know that you have an agreement with Microsoft, but you can help me on this one?

  Where can I download all the drivers I need? ... I requires that the link and leave the rest to me.

  I just bought a HP pavilion touchsmart n056ea 14 supplied with windows 8. I use it for work and they gave me a windows 7 pro 64 bit OS to use instead that it works better with their systems. I formatted the drive and installed the win7 OS now but the drivers online are only for windows 8. Can someone please help me to the source of some drivers for windows 7.   I don't think it's asking you where to install, it can ask for a place to decompress the files, so just say ok the location by default, he suggests. If the installation does not continue after developing files, switch to that folder where it expanded their and find the Setup, the exe file and run it.

When you check the Nvidia site, he says that all the stuff here. But this has only a DVI port. It also has an HDMI port. Do I need a spliter any for this?  Or can I use the HDMI port for a monitor (if the new monitors even come with this exit) and DVI for others (currently using the VGA adapter)? 

  I upgraded the stock graphics card when placing your order. I hope that I did a bonehead move and will still need to buy another graphics card.

• Drivers XP for Pavilion m8120n

  It is a system that I have downgraded from Vista with the help of this forum a few years ago.  Do to a hard drive failure, I'm trying to reinstall everything.  Look in Device Manager, some drivers miss me are for the ethernet controller (an I got Intel closes before the end of the installation), wireless LAN, PCI device, communication controller SM Bus controller and PCI simple.  I believe that the PCI device is a modem that I don't use so don't really care in this regard.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  It was very strange, but everything works now!

  I made another copy of the Setup with SATA drivers disk and everything worked as expected.  Must have been a glitch in the first CD I burned.  Wish I would have found that a few days ago.

• Problem adding a hard disk for Pavilion Elite HPE - 380 t

  Hello

  I am trying to replace my existing drive with a new WD 1 TB hard drive. So I intend to install the new WD drive as the 2nd drive, and then run the utility WD Acronis to clone the original to the new drive.

  However, when I install the new disk, the BIOS recognizes it, but I think it appears in Windows 7 such as D drive, but it does not work. When I run Acronis, he says that it doesn't detect any WD drive.

  I went into the BIOS and ran the test drive / self-test and it passed.

  I noticed that the SATA1 controller is enabled. He didn't check before installing the drive.

  The controller SATA1 mode is RAID. Not sure that it was previously.

  Oh, and I plugged the new drive SATA cable into the connector of the motherboard directly next to the SATA connector as my original drive.

  Everyone through this? Any suggestions?

  You are right. It was the answer, sort of. When I started Windows 7, I went in the new disk drives and active management. I let the system assign drive letters. I then rebooted.

  Then when I came back to Windows, I was able to run the original utility WD Acronis True Image to clone my source drive to the new drive. When finished, stop the system, removed my original drive and the new drive my only drive.

  Everything works beautifully. I managed to replace my hard drive.
