Drivers XP for Satellite P305D-S8828, ATI Radeon 3100

Hello

I just installed XP SP3 instead of Vista on my Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8828. But now, my problem is that I can't find a driver for the video card Ati Radeon 3100. I searched Toshiba Download Center, ati download center and I googled for a few hours, but without result.

Any idea where I could get the driver?

Thans,
Dan.

Hello

AFAIK that ATI Radeon 3100 graphics card was also installed in other laptops.

For example, the card has been installed in this European series from Toshiba:

Satellite L300D PSLC8E
Satellite L300D PSLE8E
Satellite Pro A300D PSAK9E
Satellite Pro L300D PSLC9E

Check the laptop series above and maybe you will find an XP driver.

  • Re: Need driver for SM Bus for Satellite P305D-S8828

I just went down to XP Pro SP3 and the only driver I'm missing is the SM Bus controller.

I think what I'm looking for are the drivers for the chipset AMD M780V, but I don't know I am unable to locate any drivers for this chipset, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don t Toshiba America (http://www.csd.toshiba.com) I do not found the driver of Bus SM but I know because you have a U.S. model.

However you can try with the driver for Satellite L300D. It is the same model but for the Europe of the market and also has an AMD chipset and up to this date.
I searched and I founded a Bus SM AMD driver. Then try it with this driver.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com
Search type L300D and driver is utility chip.

  • I can not install XP on Satellite P305D-S8828

    Hello

I want to install Windows XP (instead of Vista) on my Toshiba Satellite P305D-S8828.
I boot from the Windows XP CD, it not the usual analysis, but it does not acknowledge any HARD drive on the laptop, so I can't continue the installation.
Do I need some special HARD drive drivers to be installed during XP installation?

    Please advice,
    Thank you
    Dan.

    Hello

    You have two options;
You will switch the AHCI compatible mode in the BIOS or you install the SATA drivers for chipset AMD.

The SATA for the AMD driver here in this other thread on the same topic:

  • Satellite L355 problems with ATI Radeon 3100

It's my first post, but I've been lurking for a while I'm a big fan of Toshiba. I've owned a few and now the laptop more recent I'm causing me some problems.

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L355D-S7829. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate and have updated with all the latest and greatest from Microsoft and Toshiba software. The problem I encounter is that no matter what I can not do the ATI Radeon 3100 graphics card to appear in my device settings, or anywhere in the system. What is looming is the "Mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family" no matter what I do with the drivers on the Toshiba site.

I looked for similar problems on here and on the web and have not been able to find an answer. I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing, but I am lost on what to do. My knowledge of laptops is not it, but I'm competent enough on desktop computers. I am sure that the ATI Radeon 3100 is a card on board and cannot be deleted? I got the used laptop and would really like to make it work so that I can play the games to the best of "capabilities.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hello

Unfortunately, I can't say much to the problem described. As I see that you have a model of cell phone US and all the drivers available for the operating systems, you can find on WE support page.

I put t know what version of Win7 you use, but you will find a suitable display driver 8.634.1 version.
    Have you already installed it.

  • Satellite P305D-S8828 - fan runs most of the time

On my new Satellite P305D - S8828 17 "fan seems to work most of the time, fled to 01:45 for: dry then on new 50." I have the schema defined on "balanced" & the unit is based on a cooler aluminium frame (no fans on radiator).

Basically, ventilation under the unit must be very very good compared to flat on a desk. Room temperature. is about 78 F. The unit is basically idling & the fan runs at low speed most of the time. Sometimes it ramps at high speed for about 30 seconds. I can go to Circuit City and check another, but anyone know if this is normal behavior?

I tried a non-Toshiba notebook & I do not remember the fan being audible to all! This laptop was horrible buttons on the touchpad well, so I prefer this Toshiba.

I think that the fan runs up constantly when a movie is playing. I heard a change in BIOS to set the fan turns too, but do not know what is available on this platform. Any help is appreciated, because I can still return unit for something else.

BTW, Wireless G is on, but no traffic running on AC & battery not charging. The fan is sometimes we'RE for: 30 & off at 01:00.
    Thank you

  • Where can I find drivers for Windows XP for my Satellite P305D-S8828?

    Hello every1 of Turkey.

I want to downgrade my Vista to Windows XP Pro due to some reasons.
But on the page of the Toshiba driver, I can't find my laptop and of course the Win XP drivers I bought my laptop in the United States with a great price. It s P305D-S8828
    http://explore.Toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/p300/P305D-S8828

My question is simple. How can I find XP drivers for my laptop? Toshiba USA has only a few drivers that I n t really need.
    I need your help.

    Thank you now
    EMRAH

    Hello

As you said that it is a Toshiba laptop we and if you need some drivers, you should take a look at the Toshiba driver page we.

Unfortunately, it seems that the US page does not have XP drivers at this time.

But don t give up boyfriend of my own experience of many different notebooks are equipped with the same features. Usually drivers from other series could also be compatible.

Therefore, you could try to collect some XP drivers that have been released for other series such as P300/P305.

    Check it out!

  • Satellite Pro M50: ATI Radeon Mobility 200 - error blue screen

    Hello

My girlfriend has a Satellite Pro M50, she bought 3 weeks ago about, recently it started to freeze so that in general use (play music, browse the web via wifi etc.) and then it blue screens. The blue display lights only for a split second before disappearing and the reboot of the machine.

Once he started again I send the error report to Microsoft and it lets me know that he could have the ATI drivers, I went to the website of ati to search for drivers, but for some reason any, that there is none for the mobility of 200 m, I used the drivers from the toshiba to the opposite site and this seemed to solve the problem for a short time , but it's happening now once again, is this a hardware problem or software and what should I do?

any ideas anyone (specification of machine below)?

    Toshiba Satellite Pro M50
    Intel Celeron 1.5 ghz
    512 MB of RAM
    40 GB HARD drive
ATI Mobility Radeon 200 m graphics card
    Win XP Home Ed

    see you soon

    Rich

    Hello

The blue screen occurs due to the failure of the serious software or hardware failure. You the case looks like a hardware problem. As John said in the first response, it could be the graphics card or something similar.
You guarantee is valid and I really recommend to contact the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country for the control of the machine.
If replacements are needed this should be done for free because of the valid guarantee.

  • Satellite P305D-S8828 keyboard missing my typing and FN + F9 does not work

    Hello everyone.

I'm new on this forum. Im sorry for my bad English right now. I hope I can explain my problems.
I just bought a laptop computer to the United States with a great price. It's a great laptop, but there are 2 problems and they have big problems of r for me.
It's Toshiba Satalite P305D-S8828 which is not available in europe, only sell in the United States.
    This is the link:
    http://explore.Toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/p300/P305D-S8828

Laptop keyboard seems kind and gentle and good typing, but especially on a msn messenger box or forum page response, when I type, he's missing part of my typings? I mean, I used to use my quick keyboard, but it's like he's not pressing all the buttons, but I really rely on the letters. So the things I write are mixed, not understandable cos of lack of the letters.

This isn't my first laptop. I used a bit more before, but nothing like this has happened before.
It doesn't always happen, but generally occurs.
I don't know what to do and this really do my head.
I use Vista Ultimate Turkish. Don't you think that it is an OS problem? Or maybe the bios? More later (v1.90) I heard the same problem happened to some Fujitsu Siemens laptops, but it has been resolved with a bios upgrade. I hope you understand my problem and someone help me.

My second problem is that my FN + F9 (function key) does not work. But some of them work, like FN + F1, FN + F2, FN + F3... work but FN + F9 does NOT work? :(
I want to disable the touchpad when I plug my usb mouse, but I can't do it using FN + F9. My touchpad driver is installed and my OS is Vista Ultimate. Could you help me for that too?

I hope that answering my questions.
    Thank you now
    all the loves of Turkey
    EMRAH

Go to the Toshiba site us and download the latest version of the BIOS. Having the latest version of the BIOS is important on the new models.

For the issue of the Touchpad, download and install the latest package of added value for the P305D and reinstall the driver from the Touchpad.
If you have installed the drivers for your mouse USB (for example drivers Logitech or Microsoft), remove them. They may be in conflict with the Touchpad

  • SatellIte A100-220 - ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M Driver update

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba SatellIte A100-220 and I can't find the latest driver for Ati Radeon Xpress 200 M, could you help me?

What operating system do you use?

  • Update drivers Catalyst for Satellite L850-150

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L850-150 (AMD Radeon HD M 7670) 3 days and I don't know if getting angry with AMD to restrict their pilots or Toshiba do not update their own pilots.

Can you give me a technical reason for the manufacture of incompatible laptop with AMD generic drivers?

I got an AMD Radeon HD M 7670 an AMD Radeon HD 7670 M in a Toshiba, in an ASUS, Acer, etc. If you make your laptop incompatible with other drivers, at least, maintain your own drivers updated.

On this forum and also checking many other forums you will find hundreds of threads with the same question over and over again.
It is well known that manufacturers of graphics don t mobile support units and this support is for manufacturers of laptop only.

    Technical reason?
Can imagine you that you want to have more graphic and more performance by using more recent driver. One day you feel burnt graphics card. What do you think should be responsible for this and who should pay for the replacement of the motherboard?

  • Installation & looking for drivers XP for Satellite P200 - 1C2 Solution

I see here many have problems with installing windows and drivers for xp.

    XP installation
A normal sp2 installation cd will not be able to install windows on the laptop. You need the S - ATA for Intel drivers.
You can download the site http://www.Intel.com or
    http://www.connect.de (search Intel_SATA_965.zip)

This driver is for XP and Vista, a Core 2 Duo processor.

    -Download nlite to www.nliteos.com.
-Copy the files from your xp cd to a folder on the hard disk as C:\XP_CD
-unpack the drivers to a folder on the hard disk
-launch nlite, choose the xp folder and continue
-ignore the form 'sessions' and continue
-Choose pilots and the possibility to make an iso and continue
-Open the drivers with nlite (folder with multiple files)
-Click on the name of the driver one continue with ok
-choose "textmode driver" mode and select all drivers in the list box (use ctrl)
-continue to nlite and burn on a cd setup

Now you can boot from the cd and install windows xp

    Audio driver
Many have problems with the audio driver, it does not work. Here, I explain how I solved the problem on my laptop:
    -go to the Device Manager
    -look for uninstalled 'pci device's
-Right click on it and install the driver
-Let windows automatically installs the driver, it will show one uninstalled HD Audio definition Driver
-Now, you install the Realtek driver

    Display driver
For my laptop, there is no screen driver download for xp, here I explain to ati, how to install the original driver
I Don t know how to solve the problem with nvidia graphics, but maybe there, he works to

-Download driver catalyst newes at amd.com
-try to install, it will make a folder in C:\, but won´t install
    -go to the Device Manager
-Right click uninstalled the VGA card and choose install driver
-take the last option, the auto driver, continue
-ignore the next form and continue
-choose to install the driver of a data medium
--aller go to C:\ATI\Support\Drivers\, find the inf file and open
-Choose your graphics card for example Ati Radeon HD 2600 Pro
-install the driver, windows will say, the driver may not work, but it works!
