  To set up a pop e-mail account use the 'other' option and enter an error in the password, it will offer you then you pop or imap, select pop, enter the correct details and correct the error in the password, and you should be good to go.

  Please advise whether Microsoft intend to solve this problem? I have no idea why Microsft have such change not supporting email pop. But it's the older technology is still the more popular especially in the commercial world for SMEs around the world.

  Also have an app that support email pop. Google android and IOS it take all support and can implement easily e-mail accounts... Please... Microsoft... We support you, but please, don't make any stupid move to surprise or frighten us...

  Hi everyone who suffers the Surface RT does not support POP e-mail! Now, I found the solution...

  First, you must create and prepare the following three accounts:

  1. your POP email

  2. Gmail account

  3 Hotmail account, such as Hotmail, msn, live, outlook

  Step 1: Connect to Gmail and go in "Settings", then under "Accounts and import", check mail other accounts "with the help of POP". Here you will send all emails to your Gmail then POP.

  Step 2: Log in to Hotmail, then go to 'E-mail settings', then go to "send/receive e-mail from other accounts", then click "Add an e-mail account" to add your Gmail account. After checking it then you can receive all mails sent to your email POP then transfer to Hotmail via Gmail.

  Step 3: then on the same page, click on "add another account to send emails of" to add your email pop account After verifying you can send and answer your e-mail in your POP account.

  Step 4: after all, go to Tablet Surface RT, then configure your mail in Hotmail as normal configuration... and now you can use your POP with Surface RT.

  In any case, I hope that Microsoft next time before making any changes have done sufficient research and think... do not create no matter what obstacle for us as a user. We are not a technical person that we use windows for our daily life and the work... not many people like me would spend time thinking how to solve out and then share it here!

  Several times I used sync for tranzfer of information to a new computer and or updated computer!
  In the last 24 hours I've sent many requests for 'change password' for those that I tried did not work, so I can connect!

  You say you sent an email over and over again, but no one came to my email which is confirmed you have the right address!

  You can enter the wrong email address. I tested 2 fake emails in the password reset page and received the green check mark telling me that the password reset emails have been sent. It is not a real confirmation that your e-mail address is used by Firefox accounts.

  This is done this way so that hackers and spammers can not cheat the system by typing many kinds of emails at random and wait to see if they get a confirmation 'this e-mail address is. So for security reasons, all the entered addresses electronic are treated as real even if there is no account that corresponds to this e-mail.

  Please try some of your other email addresses here and see if you receive a password reset email in these accounts.

• Now, my POP email accounts must have "automatically detect the e-mail settings" unchecked in order to work.  Why?

  My POP email accounts received by e-mail only periodically. They show offline otherwise (good to send however).  When I uncheck "automatically detect and maintain the settings for the account, everything works.  When I check once again, they're going offline.  What is going on?

  If you choose to send a mail with the mail app, it will always be converted to MMS. When you press the option "Send a group email" and mark the contacts you want to send an email to and end with 'Done', in standard, you will get the option "share with: mail, electronic mail, or Gmail. If you choose e-mail and tap on the "Always" option, it will always open the messaging application and the message will be converted to MMS.

  If the options above do not appear, I suggest that you go into settings > Apps > Swipe to the 'All' tab > e-mail > clear default values. You must then configure your e-mail account to the e-mail application or if you use Gmail, choose to send the email with your Gmail app group.

  On my new BlackBerry Bold 9900 to add POP email accounts as described in the manual is not available. Only the enterprise option activation is provided. The BB is a no camera brand and sold by AMAZON.   BB10 models the client polls for email on POP3 server at an interval that you select.  When the mail client is e-mail it downloads it not the device.   In function, you can set a time interval (30 minutes or an hour) and then manually refresh if you happen to check at any time between the two.   You can define short intervals, if you want and see what it does to the battery life.

  On models BBOS (with BIS such as described above), the BIS server made the polling stations, and it pushes email to the handset.  The polling interval depends on, if the BIS is to find send it to the server every time that he asks, so they tend to ask more frequently.  If there are no e-mail, he returned to the default which is something like 15 minutes.   Some accounts are pushed from email arrives, for example say Live or Outlook.com.

  It is the main thing you need to know to POP for Gmail accounts. The incoming server is pop.gmail.com. A Gmail account as default IMAP if create you one, then you will have to manually go into your e-mail account settings and change it to pop.

  This could be linked to control settings for the account (UAC), a possible solution to your problem is to change the UAC level using the following method:

  (1) Start button
  (2) research "uac" and press enter
  (3) change at the level of the UAC at the lowest of the 4 levels
  (4) restart the computer
  (5) run VI

  Let me know if this resolves your mistake.

  Yes, you can have multiple.  Go to settings, accounts, click Add a new account at the bottom of your screen. Select E-mail and enter your email address and password... put a green tick on the account to configure automatically.
