Drop down address bar

I don't know if the name 'bar' is right, so I describe first, which I'll talk.

On the right side bar which is used to type in the URL is a yellow star to bookmark sites. On the right side of this star is an arrow pointing down. If you click on this button (without having anything typed in the address bar), a list of URLS appear. My questions are regarding the customization of this specific list.

In Firefox 3, 10 URL was listed when I clicked on the arrow. Since I updated to Firefox 4, the list consists of only 4 URLs. How can I change back to 10 URLs?

In addition to this, the list is not accurate. I think he should show my most visited URLs, but some sites I visit several times a day, are not listed. How can I add something to this list?

I hope you understand what I'm talking about. Since it is quite specific, I have found no help on google. I use Firefox 4.0.

  • Drop-down URL bar length

    Hello

    I noticed that my URL (address) Bar when I click on the drop down arrow that's long enough for the moment. History only fills half upper and the lower half is just empty.

    Now, I had some time ago and someone here had suggested using STYLISH to control this and it worked great for a long time, which means the fall down was set to a more appropriate length about half a screen of a value drop-down list just enough to view the history, but yesterday or the day before I noticed that I was in the longest fall down once again and when I checked ELEGANT he now says that anything made for the category of the URL.

    Then someone knows if there is a work around to limit the length of the URL dropdown bar story full page for me is at least very irritating

    Thank you

    I think that I have close to where she was before just a question I noticed that when it comes down now she goes down on the left edge of the screen rather then right below the address box. Is it possible to align it below the address box because that's how he use to fall down

    Sort of. It depends on if you care about the star to bookmark and switch to the tab icons that sometimes appear on the far left:

    /* Leave space for "type" icons */
    #PopupAutoCompleteRichResult {
      max-width: 1000px !important;
      margin-left: -20px !important;
    }

    /* Don't care about "type" icons */
    #PopupAutoCompleteRichResult {
      max-width: 1000px !important;
      margin-left: 0px !important;
    }

    With enough force, I could probably move the star somewhere else, perhaps between the title of the site and the URL or the extreme right, but this is a bit complicated to work with.

  • Drop-down menu bar is impressive is empty

    Yesterday, my Firefox has been updated to version 16.0.1. Then, I realized that my awesome bar drop-down list is become empty - it is not, I can see the icons of the proposed sites, but there is no text next to the icons. Apart from that it works ok - when I use the arrow keys to select an option the url is displayed in the bar itself (but still not on the list). Has anyone the same problem or is it just my firefox?

    Hello Nagareboshi20, other delicious bookmark extension users have reported the same problem. If you have installed in firefox > addons > extensions please disable it temporarily until the devs of the addon can provide an update.

  • lost the top with drop-down menus bar and cannot find my address book. How can I put things back as if they were?

    I don't know how to get the upper tool back bar. I managed to lose. It's a problem now, when I hit the Inbox that I can't put in my e-mails, unless I got to the homepage and press 'get messages.'
    I would get my return format and don't know what to do to get it back. Help.

    Click top and select again the menu bar and the toolbar. You may need to explore everything until you find the right place to get these options.

    Once you have the Menu on a show, view | Page layout | The folders pane might be what you need to bring other elements in the view.

  • Scrolls from the address bar

    Hello

    I currently use 42 FF as my browser and when I clicked on the arrow down on my address bar he use to drop down and show 12 items of my recent sites.

    But recently, I noticed that it displays only 6 points with a scroll bar to see the other 6 points. Still 12 points but now half and half.

    I noticed that if I restart my browser it will be sometimes to fix it and put it back to fall down with 12 displayed.

    Any ideas on how to solve this problem, so it goes back to the display always all 12 elements, as it is a pain to always necessary, made scroll to see when my screen fits all 12 without problem!

    Thank you

  • How can I remove tenacious favorite in menu drop-down? Website of death. Favorite, immortal.

    I have a "favorite" which continues to appear in the dropdown of my recent visits, despite the fact that he's dead, and my not to visit for a month. He is immortal, or it can go the way of the site she used to represent? The site is secoswinds.com, FWIW.

    Thank you. It's kind of funny. I'm so used to right-click on practically anything and have a delete option, I forgot the button 'delete' on my keyboard. Of course, when I did scroll down the list (Yes, the drop down address bar), has highlighted the dead site and press the 'Delete' key, he disappeared. Thanks for your help. See you soon.

  • Sites Web open automatically to the address bar.

    When I choose a site to go to the drop down address bar menu, it does not automatically go to this site as it used to. I have to click on the little arrow to 'go to this address' or press ENTER.

    As far as I'm aware, FF hasn't updated recently, and it just started doing this yesterday.

    There are some extensions that have been known to cause this problem. Maybe an extension has been updated just before this problem for you.

  • cannot drag and drop a shortcut on the desktop of the address bar.

    I can drag and drop a shortcut to the menu of bookmarks. I can't drag and drop in the menu bookmark on the desktop. I can't drag and drop the address bar on the desktop.

    You drag the text selected in the address bar or the button "Site Identity" (lock/globe)?

  • Why don't point in the drop-down list address not remove when selected and click on remove

    on version 14.1 - to remove an item in the drop-down address, said the point the address line the right click and select delete - this clears the address line but point remains in the drop-down list and does disappear not - why point unclear when you return to fall down to check this

    the system is XP and ff 14.1

    I think that you need for the arrow down to the element, so it is highlighted, and then press DELETE.

    (I meant the keyboard delete key, you can't right click on the drop-down list).

  • How to make the menu drop-down list with a scroll bar

    Hello

    I have a drop-down list that is filled with different table sizes.

    I have a size of 30-element array.  Some of the last items just go off the screen at the bottom of the Simulator PB.

    Is it possible for me to add a drop-down scroll bar?

    DP = new DropDown();
    dp.rowHeight = 24;
    DP.prompt = "stuff";
    DP. Height = 34;
    DP.width = 230;
    DP.x = TitleTB.x + 170;
    DP.y = Title.y-3;
    addChild (dp);

    Some of the tables look like this-

    case 'List 1':
    dp.rowCount = 2;
    for (var i: int = 0; i<2;>
    {
    if(i==0)
    {
    DPP.splice (0);
    DPP.unshift({label:"blahblah"});)
    }
    else if (i == 1) {}
    DPP.unshift({label:"foofoo"});)
    }
    }
    dp.dataProvider = new DataProvider (dpp);
    addChild (dp);
    break;

    case "List2":
    dp.rowCount = 30;
    for (var n: int = 0; n<30;>
    {
    if(n==0)
    {
    DPP.splice (0);
    DPP.unshift({label:"lalalala"});)
    }
    Else if (n == 1) {}

    **********

    Delete the existing table using splice (0);

    then I add the new array of labels.

    Before, when I didn't have the splice (0), I only had the .unshift () and sometimes got bays combined together and a scroll bar appears automatically in the Simulator.  But then the berries were mixed.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hey mlin13,

    from the looks of it, your property rowCount is set too high. the rowCount property represents the number of lines displayed on the screen when the drop down menu is open. so if the number of rows is less than the amount of items on the list, it will create a scroll bar with a drop-down list for you. try to set the number of lines to a default value of 10 and and keep it manipulate your list from there. and see if you get the desired results. Good luck!

  • How to: Disable the new 'Visit what you type' in the url drop-down list. FF 43

    So with the update of FF 43 Mozilla is still destroying my workflow. While browsing I have I'll especially out of muscle memory. And the new updated through upward in the top position most of the url drop-down the search with the option. I disabled that within 5 minutes but now instead of it's me give "visit"url what ever I can partially be hit". I wish that this new item disabled and can't seem to find an option for her.

    I never understood why the url bar allowed for searching the Web when there is already a dedicated search bar.

    You can set this pref to false on the topic: config page.

    • Browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete = false

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
    You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

    Location drop-down menu bar may show items from the history, as well as pages of a bookmark and sites currently open in tabs.
    You can define what suggestions to show when you enter a URL in the address bar in "Options/Preferences > privacy".

    • Tools > Options > privacy > address bar: when you use the location bar, suggest:
      History
      Bookmarks
      Open tabs
    • choice of browser.urlbar.suggest.history.onlyTyped must be modified directly through the pref
    • choice of browser.urlbar.Suggest.Searches is present in Firefox 43 + as 'See the search in the location bar results suggestions' in "Options/Preferences > Search" in the search parameters
